Not just that, the game developers need to stop pushing the crap and hiring these grifters. This is what happens when universities spit out idiologs year after year for the best part of 2 decades. Go to the source, not just the symptom, the whole thing is a circular grift.

There was actually never a shortage of politicians trying to politicize videogames once they started doing that in the 90's. Though I suppose that was mostly because of demand back then. Lots of religious folks who equated games with evil/sin. And then when the 'ultraviolent' Mortal Kombat came around the controversy became so big that they started regulating games more such as making age ratings and whatnot. But discussions of that started years before that and every so often it's highlighted politically. Remember the hot coffee controversy from GTA for example?
I'm also fully expecitng western governments to start demanding woke elements to be put into games at some point. Not explicitly, but... say you make a game and the people happen to be all white. The government will just say it's racist and will not allow you to release it until you meet some dumb arbitrary diversity standard. And all the couples in the game are straight? Well, also not allowed to release until you meet some kind of arbitrary sexuality standard. Stuff like that will start happening if things continue the way they are.
And the vast majority of us aren't even American and don't give a **** about their politics.
@thenonexistinghero I used to be against the ratings for music movies and games but now that I'm older and I'm seeing what it did to my generation and the generations after all I can see is the negative in it. I grew up a hybrid. I was outside allllllot, and only gamed 10 hours a week, so it didn't rot my brain. But what about all the kids whose parents didn't care and just let their brains rot? We've been seeing the fruits of that for the last 20 years. All the old folks say they didn't have the problems we have nowadays and the key difference I can see is music video games and TV went full blown violent in the 90s and its been getting progressively worse since then. Drill rap, tv shows now show extreme violence and drug use on regular cable. Video games like gta are being played by children.

I am a white gamer girl, been gaming since the early 80s. I love games like Mario & Zelda on the Switch just bought a Steam deck & I love it so much, Doom eternal is awesome on it lol. The new version I played on a friends PC that I was looking forward to play was so woke I was so upset I never will again play woke games or watch woke movies. Saga is Swedish girls name that is some times used also in Finland. The name also means story. It made no sense for the character to be black and have that name. It was just so disjointed and immediately felt off. I don't have anything against black characters, but the strong black woman thing is such a cliche now that it's immediately annoying. Worse, in Alan Wake's case Saga was retrofitted in for political reasons. That always carries a strong sense of inauthenticity.

Back in 2010 I didn't mind the inclusivity and stuff that was peppered here and there within reason if it fit the narrative of the game, but now it's gotten absolutely ridiculous. The number one offender is how every game is now afraid to say "male/female" and they just resort to "body type A or B, 1 or 2". Tired of all the pronoun bullshit too, and games mixing male and female faces in character creators is a complete jumbled mess. Same with the voices too, all the voices are mixed in, because god forbid you label them as one gender or another. Nobody is taking this shit seriously, everything is hamfisted and all these "inclusive" characters feel (very obviously) forced into the story just for a checklist. It's embarrassingly bad writing done by a bunch of amateurs that have absolutely no business working in the industry in the first place.
The whole entertainment industry can go as woke as it likes, but it can never force us to purchase or support the nonsense, it is that simple.
The sweet baby logo should be setting off alarm bells for everyone, if you know what I mean. The name then becomes even creepier.

Spiderman 2 felt a little political at times. Mary Jane complaining about Jonah Jameson instituting a "radical meritocracy" at work. Not sure what else he's supposed to expect from journalists in a city overwhelmed with crime. 😅

There's far worse examples like being forced to play boring stealth missions with Mary Jane (who was made uglier and one shots everything), another boring side mission where you play a deaf black girl spray painting stuff, another were you make sure a gay couple meet up, random Black Cat being a lesbian cameo, Peter getting emasculated every time by Yuri and MJ (symbiote) and Peter being almost the sidekick to Miles even going so far as saying: "why would the the city need me when it has you?" in his own game.
But the worst offender that I still can't believe it is what they did to the spanish version of the game. That language, like mine (portuguese) has gender specific terms like "friend", if it's male you say "amigo" if it's female, "amiga". The latino version uses "amigx" for such instances... like, instead of latino or latina you have latinx... You can't make this up, no one talks like this and the fact that they're trying to change languages really tells you something.

Exactly, but the problem is the woke movement is creativity bankrupt. It's like a cancer or a parasite. It can only survive latching onto something else. That's why it has to try so hard to force itself into established franchises. If it could build momentum on its own popularity and merit, it would have already done so by now. And they will never be happy with it being niche. They want it in all games, regardless of what the fans of the games think. It's all just about pushing the ideology, they really don't care about games.
This mind virus is literally designed to destroy what has come before. They can only think in terms of dismantling culture, and tradition. It isn't an accident that they can't leave people alone. They've been radicalized to see everything in terms of oppressor and oppressed. Make no mistake, this is serious business, and I hope we can push back this disease or we are in deeper trouble than we can hardly imagine.
I remember when ghost of tsushima came out some media had a fit cause it was not made by japanese. Even though they loved that game in japan cause of how much respect it showed to thier culture. @@NJBization Girls wear skirts to school, it's a real thing. All the Pokemon games had girl clothes for female trainers before, now they have been removed completely.

However, The school I went to in Dominican republic, the school uniform are litterly gender neutral; all male and female students are to wear uniform that is a polo shirt and long pant. So yes, the situation is real. And this was back in 2002.
