No one other than RDJ would have even come close for playing the role of Ironman in MCU. He was just too perfect.
Precisely, RDJ was the perfect choice for Tony, and it cemented his career resurrection!
@@trinaq not to mention the birth of the MCU
i didn't even care about the movie until i heard he was gonna be in it.
It was almost like he was just playing himself, that's why he's so perfect. Of course, along with his amazing acting.
Best marvel movie is iron man 1
“I love you 3,000” is probably the best non scripted line in a movie I’ve ever heard. It gets me every time
there are very few people that can pull of being that much of an asshole and likable at the same time.
@@chicostephenson indeed
Ninjas be cutting them onions
@@SpaceDikon damn straight
I had no idea that was unscripted
MCU Tony Stark: "The truth is... I am Iron Man."
That line never gets old.
😊
that line blew me away when he first said it.
@@chicostephenson So was I back in May 2008. LOL
And in fact it’s deservedly in the top spot. That line is not just _movie line_ history, it’s plain movie history. 👍
I agree, @@LucienSabre!
@@chicostephenson okay...sure it did. Iron man 1 was garbage. Mcu didnt get good until avengers 1.

"It was a good talk"
"No it wasn't"
Comedy gold.
Age of Ultron doesn't get enough credit.
I laugh my ass off every time I see that scene.
@@akiraakai
Strucker : The Americans sent their circus freaks to test us. We will send them back in bags. No surrender!
Hydra Soldiers : No surrender!
Strucker : [Turns and whispers to Dr. List] I am going to surrender.
🤣🤣🤣
that is so much underrated!!
ultron has a lot of exchanges that are so funny during the first half
I'm so happy he turned his life around. He totally deserves his superstardom.
Thanks a lot.
@@robertdowneyjr2761 💀
Explain?
@@Nathanhodgeon13 he was in jail before he started his acting career
"I love you 3000!" Two years later, that line STILL makes me bawl like a baby, even better that it was unscripted! 😭
I had to skip it i litteraly sceamed no started crying and quickly skiped it
Hollywood film legend, and Oscar-nominated actor.
Robert Downey Junior cannot be replaced as MCU Tony Stark AKA Iron Man.
Wait what??? Tony Stark is not the one playing RDJ?
Not now. Not ever. He's perfect.
I agree, but that's not going to stop Marvel from possibly bringing the character of Ironheart into the MCU,even though most casual fans have probably never heard of her.
@@timmartin6793 isn't she a different character to Tony Stark though? I don't see an issue with that. Its not like she's playing Tony Stark xD
@Tim Martin they are, they announced it on their investor day. But there’s nothing wrong with that, Iron Man is my favorite hero, and I’m excited to see what all she’s about.
RDJ plays a superhero as Ironman but to be honest , picking himself up and moving forward after all of his trails and tribulations... that’s inspirational and that makes him a hero in real life
Most of those trials and tribulations were from run-ins with the law for drug related charges. He must have thought he was over in America where they have that freedom.
Oh wait...
@@MTroy-vc3ny
The justice system is crooked and unfair , we see that every where but what I have seen the battle against overcome drugs is the one of hardest trails and tribulations for the ones that want a better life
I know! RDJ is a hero and an awesome actor
@@MTroy-vc3ny
True. And those substance abuse issues were very similar to what the character of Tony Stark went through. Which made RDJ even more perfect for that role.
@@archersmith869 Trials, not trails. Sorry, I just had to.
I always like the schwarma scene where Chris Evans has to hide the fact that he had grown a mustache for another role when they were called back, which is why he’s just sitting there covering his face the whole time.
i believe he had a beard for "snowpiercer" and they kind of covered it with makeup but it didn't look very good so he had to cover his whole jaw
that actually wasn't Chris Evans at the Shawarma Scene
@@sid8221 oh dear... and you know that how? I mean the whole world knows it was a scene shot after the whole movie was ready, and that Evans had facial hair grown for a different movie. All the information form the cast and crew confirm that it was Evans covering his face and poor prosthetics done literally last minute, and yet you say it was not Chris there. I wonder, what makes you say it was not Evans and is the earth flat?
@@cheyebba Oh damn.. just found out about it. Ok.
@@cheyebba Oh no he is right, it wasn't Chris Evans, I am also a flat earther so everything I say is facts
The fact that he never received an Oscar/ an Academy Award for his portrayal of Tony/Iron Man is shameful
The Academy doesn't like popular films.
True
@@joelwillems4081 Umm... Titanic? Avatar?
@@andrewnapier2536 The exception tests the rule, it doesn't prove it. You can cite exceptions, but 90% of the Academy awarded movies did not perform well at the box office which has led to the awards becoming increasingly irrelevant to the general public.
@@michaelmorris4515 Wow. Most people I know live for the Academy awards. Maybe it's just an LA thing.
RDJ had the choice of saying "Fuck You" to Thanos and choose "I Am Iron Man". Nothing but respect, I just wish those were his dying words in Endgame.
Respect
Respect, the "I am Iron Man" line was probably the best choice of final words, and it's more impactful than the alternative words, in my opinion!
Hid dying words weren't "I am Ironman." It was "Pep."
Since death doesn't mean anything on comics you can have a lot of last words.
That woulda been unintentionally hilarious. That said, if there's anyone in the MCU that would've drop F-bombs it's Tony and Fury and damn shame we never got them to.
RDJ improvs so much, he should get credit as a writer.
The fact that he Hid blueberries on sets..then offered everyone blueberries is hilarious. 😂I love him. There will never be anyone like Robert Downey Jr. 😂❤️❤️
Is there anything better than him saying "I am Iron Man"?
To answer your rhetorical question, nope absolutely nothing beats that line! ❤️
There is One....
When he says "I love you 3000😭 " to his daughter
This phrase is 11/10
Its so funny how his one line resonated with audiences so much it created an economic boom in the swarma industry in the US. Legend.
It’s honestly Delicious too.
I recently rewatched The Avengers and saw the shawarma scene
We had shawarma for dinner that day
Iron man : It was a good talk
Guy on the floor : No it wasn't
That line always make me laugh everytime
The “I am Ironman” line does deserve to be number 1 since not only does it define RDJ and his character in MCU, it signals a departure from the secret identity that most superhero has as a character. It defined how the MCU is different and that all the other characters can operate differently in the world that does not need secret identity.
Hence the bit about writers and directors taking liberties with the way the characters had been presented. Though technically, that's not true for all of them.
4:30 I love that Mark Ruffalo takes blueberries and doesn’t break character
Top-flight actors are such a pleasure to watch. You just relax when they're on screen, knowing that while they're there, this is going to be good entertainment.
"I am Iron Man" was the perfect end to his run as Tony Stark. Why no one thought of it during the writing process is a mystery I will never understand.
It was immediately what I thought he'd say when they moment presented itself. I actually completed the sentence out loud before him.
I like how RDJ also involved food in shoots, because of his eating scenes we can easily relate & connect to his Tony Stark's character, he is just an intelligent & a normal human who also likes to eat just as we do (it's kind of a guilty pleasure but audience dig it & I think that's what MCU or any other industry mostly focuses on - audience's preference)
"I am Iron Man" is the GOAT.
yassssssssss
Man, I didn't really know who Robert Downey, Jr. was until I saw the first Iron Man. After that, I started watching his other movies and what an actor. I'm so happy that he was able to overcome his demons and make a well-deserved comeback. Dude is an excellent actor no matter the movie/genre.
There's a vid of him being interviewed, and the journalist is trying to "get his goat" asking about his past disparagingly; the interview is supposed to be about his acting. RDJ gives him 2 warnings and then walks out. It's used within a vid about how to deal with obnoxious people. I'm sorry, don't remember the title.
Nothing but pure respect for this man. Robert deserves every award and every praise. He worked hard to become the man he is that we all can't get enough of.
Thanks for your your lovely comments and likes 😘....
Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark.
And even though Tom Cruise was also though for the role, no one can be able to replicate Stark's persona like Downey could.
Had Cruise taken the job, the MCU would never have happened.
In a marvel ultimate comic, the Avengers are talking about who they'd want to play them in movies. Almost none of them came true except Nick Fury saying he'd want Samuel L. Jackson. The only others I remember are Captain America saying Brad Pitt and Iron Man saying Jonny Depp
@@Captaincory1 which issue was it?
@@genesisknight9948 i don't know, I saw a video on a comics channel on UA-cam that showed panels with the avengers' conversation.
Tom Cruise is a good actor, if you ignore the fact he’s a crazy cultist outside of acting 🤣🤣🤣
One of my favorite lines of his is "Honestly, until this exact second, i thought you were build-a-bear." When talking to Rocket.
It was probably scripted, but i hope it wasn't.
"That man is playing galaga thought we wouldn't noticed but we did" is my favorite
I loved that!!
“Good talk” “no it wasn’t” so reminds me of monty python
From a nobody to a man that the whole world loves!!! WE LOVE YOU 3000
He was never a "nobody"
"nobody" really? what is year is it? 1980?
Bruh...
Nobody? Have you been under a rock?
Marvel: How many new scenes do you want?
RDJ: Yes
Robert Downey Jr is a style in its own way, and his Iron Man will always be the best MCU super hero ever ❤️👍✊

Thank you very much.
RDJ is my favorite actor. He’s a genius. He’s a fantastic actor. He’s also just a good person in general. I have a lot of respect for him.
Omg Chris Evans face when he says “that man is playing galaga” is priceless!!😂
He’s a genius of improvised lines. I hope i reach this level of talent someday.
Don’t let RDJs role as Ironman distract you from the fact that he was nominated for the Oscar for best supporting actor for Tropic Thunder, and would have probably won had Heath Ledger not been up for the same award for The Dark Knight that same year.
Yass!!! So glad someone else is bringing this up!
I thought Tug Speedman won the actor that year with RDJ presenting. Also, got in a fight with a girl over the fact that Ledger, whom I did think was a good actor, only got the Oscar because of his death.
RDJ is my favourite superhero, or anything ever.
had a cat long ago that was obsessed with catnip. would eat it, roll in it, then lay on it's back paws in the air and just purr. it's name - Robert Meowny Jr.
I AM IRONMAN
-Robert Downley JR.
‘I love you 3000’ will always be number 1
The "Gimme a phat beat" break down kills me every time! I'm so glad the director left it in!
Big thanks for RDJ acting. He bring a great memories to everyone. ♥️
RDJ embodied Iron Man. Apparently Marvel has plans to introduce Riri Williams into the MCU as Iron Heart and I hope beyond hope they bring RDJ back to play Tony as an AI like Jarvis and Friday.
RDJ is one of my favorite actors
I like that you intro the clip prior to showing them so I can skip those scenes from movies I haven't watched yet. Also you don't talk/describe over the clips as much as you used to anymore which is great.
RDJ's Australian accent is Tropic Thunder was bloody brilliant!!
Best Aussie accent by a non-accent, since Kate Winslet in Holy Smoke.
Some actors become their characters ...can't imagine anyone else being Iron man
Just when I though u guys would run out of topics...you keep them coming 💯
It's been exactly 2 years and 5 days since I cried in a movie for the first time.... RDJ, the legend 💯
RDJ: Peekaboo I see you... Narrator: number four the secret door ... Me the whole time: That rhymed
RDJ was apparently so good at sneaking food onto sets that they had to hire a team to try to find all the snacks. Almost none of the times that Robert is eating or drinking is scripted. He even snuck booze in and thats what he pours when he's talking to loki. Which goes to show how good he was at hiding that stuff
the shawarma restaurant is actually in the film earlier in the battle. tony crashes through a bus shelter in front of it. so it makes sense that he'd have noticed it then
I think that was more likely added in post or simply a coincidence. The line was written on the day of shooting the scene.
Much as I hated to see that MCU cycle end, it was perfect that it started and ended with RDJ/Tony Stark, "I am Ironman."
RDJ, Leonardo and johnny depp is one of the best actors for me.
You have good taste.
Brad Pitt too
It’s been two years but we still miss you, Tony. Love you 3000!
I just want a rdj video of him taking no interruptions just so that I can sleep listening to rdj’s hot voice😅
Tony called Thor " point break ', lmaoooo
RDJ has always been one of my favorite actors. I hated when he fell for a while there, but then I saw Chaplin and knew that he was on his way back. :)
"I love you 3000" is the bestest improvisation that ever made
Damn even hearing I love you 3000 again gave me Goosbumps
Would it be awesome if we saw Robert Downey Jr reprise his role as Tony Stark Iron Man in the MCU or is he going to personally chose another actor to replace him?
I'm kind of expecting Spider-man to fill that role as the MCU grows. We're probably going to see Miles Morales take over as the new Spider-man as Peter Parker gets more of a mentor role. Maybe it could even be as a result of growing more cynical from painful losses.
Well, RDJs contract technically hasn’t expired with Marvel Studios, so they are probably going to introduce some way to include him in future projects. We’re getting Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness later this year, and that could introduce all kinds of possibilities with alternate version of all the Avengers.
His story has been told. From the moment he starts his path to becoming Iron Man until his funeral.
What's left to tell?
I can’t believe that line was unscripted on the tag.
Endgame released on this date, 2 years ago... and here i am reminiscing
IM NOT CRYING!! YOU ARE....
There is no one like RDJ. He is so natural with his performances just in a league of his own
It's been a long time since I've seen Age of Ultron, but that clip at 7:16 made me lol.
"It was a good talk."
"No, it wasn't."
This RDJ guy could be an actor if he tries
I was on the verge of tears in End Game then when Tony said "I love you 3000" the floodgates opened
If you slow down the video from 4:33-4:35 you can see captain america smiling on blueberry scene
Weird, unique, innovative, adorable, charismatic, genius, amazing overcomer, king inspirer. Respect to RDJ. He's the best.❤️
Hahahaha, the pipe scene from Doctor Dolittle made me laugh so hard. And yes, the number 1 had to be "I am Iron-man".
Upon further googling both TV shows came out the first one on 2010 and Avengers Assemble in 2013. There was definitely inspiration 100%
RDJ hiding the blueberries just so he can eat them while eating is definitely something Tony would do😂
Proves that this was perfect casting
Great vid 👁❤️🔥
Thanks a lot.
Armature Actors: Hey follow you script
Robert D J: Hold my beer boy, I will show you how veteran does it.
Mr. Downey Junior, "we love you 3,000!"

The bookending of the MCU with "I am Iron Man" was absolutely perfect.
I have Robert Downey JR to thank for my love of Shawarma
Hello dear!
RDJ:good talk

The fact that iron man let Peter hug him in endgame. Beautiful
I new “I am Iron Man” would be number 1 before I even clicked on the video
Aww, the ‘I Love You 3000’ scene is still heartbreaking. I love you Robert Downey Jr. 3000 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Crazy thing about that hug it came full circle in Advengers End Game
Not many things get me choked up. I am still not able to hear that " I love you 3000" line without tears. That really messed me up.
I love you 3000 ... I don’t know if that was really UN-scripted or not but that little girl is just about as adorable as possible. And of course Downey did a awesome job of playing off that phrase. Was it juice pops ? 😂😂😂
My favourite line: "I love you 3000", touches me every time.
I forgot this was about Robert Downey Jr and I was like hey its all the same guy
When he says "Move the leg" RDJ even looks off-screen
From 10 to 6, it was mostly just RDJ in MCU. Love it
Rdj is an amazing actor
I have not watched much of the MCU movies, but I've seen a lot of internet threads/themes/comments/videos about it. He's awesome. And it makes me want to watch the early movies that I know him best from: Heart & Souls and Only You
In the movie commentary for The Soloist, in one scene, the director talks about how a scene wasn't working and Robert said he wrote something and they used that.
RDJ's sign off of "I love you 3000" was followed by his daughter telling Happy that she likes cheeseburgers.
He deserves an oscar for Tony Stark
its either Stark nor Holmes, Downey's peak is Kirk Lazarus, man only god knows how much fun he had in film set XD
wont even lie to you, i was bawling when he said it as his last words in endgame
RDJ deserve at least one oscar as iron man
I just love him! He's an amazing actor! And hilarious!!
Thanks a lot.
