Since your gone - many many thanks for sharing this for those of us who couldn't see them. Ric, is the man - the boss, in control and nice to see a band without 25 back up dancers and over the top nonsense - just good rock and roll - the best ever - such good memories with this band.
So hard to watch them sing this song without him there, oh my I'm in tears. I'm so blessed to have seen them in the 80s, I'll never forget it. I'm sure Ben was right there with them in spirit playing his bass. RIP Ben & Ric. 🕊❣🌹
Awesome Thanks for posting the show down here in LA they did not play this@Since Your Gone@Lucky ones up North, misterhollyman@The Cars ROCKING US 24 years later
I found about it from your comment........what a bummer. He will be missed. The Cars were my first concert ever in 1980..........the Panorama Tour. RIP Ric
@KARMAKILLS23 Can't replace Ben Orr, and Ric wouldn't even try - found it better to have a space on the stage then replace him with some guy - people would then complain - “it's just not Ben Orr” fact is - you can't replace someone like Orr - and Ric didn't even want to pretend he could. Hat tip to him for being true to himself.
I get that they didn't want to replace Orr, but they REALLY needed a bass. This sounds awful, although to be fair The Cars never were a particularly good live band.
sorry man, but re: your last sentence: you ABSOLUTELY know not what you are talking about, as is evidenced from captured LIVE recordings of shows archived here on tube. Check out an excellent early France '78 concert, and a remastered audio of one of their last shows in Columbia Missouri 87, I believe. It is wrong to spread false info, unless you hit a bad show or a venue with acoustics that sucked. Just so unfair and untrue. Now, if you're instigating to troll; my mistake for biting.
RIP Rick.......thanks for some great songs.
Ric Ocasic is a man and a half! Absolute beast!
Rick still has a great voice, you still have it!!🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗

now Ric & benjamin can DRIVE each other home
It's too bad the bassist was gone by this point, he really completed the chemistry of this great band.
I know, I saw them in 1980 and Ben was awesome!!!

In high school, I hated the song "Shake It Up" (still don't), I don't own this album due to this very fact. Yet, I love this song.
good closeups
@KARMAKILLS23 Nope. No one can replace Orr - would rather have it this way.
No offense to the guys in the band, but it's just not The Cars without Benjamin...

Sounds good, but is lackluster without Ben. He was the charisma and personality of the group. 2:53
