Me too! I went to see them this year, and it's been one of my favorite shows. I really hope that when they tour for the next album they can bring a full orchestra, I would paid good money for that.

Our Tuomas is a masterpiece that composes masterpieces of music. The world that know nothing about Nightwish have no idea what a Genius we have here with Tuomas. He creates music and knows the parts for every instrument, all the harmonies from every single angle, the vocals, absolutely everything is in his head as a finished work all in advance is simply extraordinary. He is as rare as Mozart that was blessed with this same gift, and there is no one alive today that has this rare gift but Tuomas. It's exciting to know they will be recording more gifts of music for us this summer.

Relax. I don't know about other cultures and languages, but in Finland this is very typical way of saying kinda like "I had my typical routine but then started to work on...". I'm sure during lockdown he took it easy, was relaxed and some point realized that it's time to start to work on new album.

@@NPK476 they aren’t about to release an album. Demos are written, that’s all. Lots of time still to tweak the songs, rehearse, tweak some more, record, mixing the tracks, mastering the tracks, THEN album is considered about to release.

Man I am sorry, but some people are not supposed to do interviews, Tuomas was professional but you can he sometime he can't believe the "childish" behavior or first 5 minutes the same question asked in 12 different ways. You have to start your interviewer career from somewhere but maybe start interviewing some local people first. I wasn't sure if the interviewer was poorly prepared or simply so nervous that it went pretty poorly overall. It didn't seem like the interviewer was actually listening to any of the answers but simply preparing for the next question.
The new album is highly anticipated because the latest wasn't good. I didn't like it at all. But after so many good albums it was just a matter of time this happened. Since then I've taken a little break from the band. I hope the new album will be back on the track.

Is the new Blind Guardian album as good as material they released 20 years ago or does the new Megeath album hold up to what they released 30 years ago? The new Machine Head is not bad, but you can tell it's complacent. What band has released better material later on in their career vs earlier that captures the same fire and excitement? They run out of ideas at some point and pass a creative peek. Is a 20-year-old musician more eager and hungrier than a 45 year old musician when they're struggling VS already made a name for themselves?

Honestly, this interviewer got me pretty nervous! Damn! The questions at the start of the interview were very repetitive, Tuomas was such a polite, and he answered so gentlely. Btw the name of the songs are messed up, you are talking to the master Tuomas, please prepare in advance for the next time my friend. He is one of a kind. Talented, intelligent, creative, brilliant musician, humble man. He deserves all the happiness in the world.

It's really typical for creative people. The opinion of the band members is very important to him. Only that way you keep your set standards to your creative work.
Of course. I can relate to that. Me, as a photographer, it's always nerve wrecking to go out with your finished images and say there, this is it. Even after +20y in this job.
It seems he's not a pro, more likely one of their admin staff, who was fixed on the questions on the sheet, which weren't his own, but the result of some brainstorming with other staff.
I saw this pop up...and I thought, screaming in my head...."Oh Heck Yeah!" I am 65 years young and love Nightwish! Tuomas is without a doubt one of the greatest living song writers of our time. I put him on equal level with a young Elton John. Different style of music but still fantastic! Thank you for the Interview!!!
What kind of novice interviewer is this who hops around giggling like a teenybopper, asking dafuq questions, and missing key cue moments? Idiotic questions like these are probably the reason Tuomas Holopainen gives such few interviews. One can see him shoot a 'the things i do for money' glance at someone off camera several times. I cannot believe this person had the chance to talk to such an interesting human, and this was what he asked. Goodness! Our Tuomas on the other hand (yes, us fans have claimed him as ours, sorry Johanna), dear God, what a man, what an storyteller. I will continue to watch crap interviews just because I get to watch him speak.
I highly appreciate Tuomas' talent for composing. I am completely stunned by what he did with "Phantom of the opera". I HATE that original song. It's beyond ugly. It's awful. But his adaptation is jaw-dropping. The drum and bass part.... amazing. And Tarja+ Marko added unbelievable magic to it. This song in this interpretation and these singers is Nightwish in full glory. And when it comes to original compositions "Meadows of heaven" and "Eva" are my absolutely favourite. They are masterpieces of music.

I saw this pop up...and I thought, screaming in my head...."Oh Heck Yeah!" I am 65 years young and love Nightwish! Tuomas is without a doubt one of the greatest living song writers of our time. I put him on equal level with a young Elton John. Different style of music but still fantastic!

What kind of novice interviewer is this who hops around giggling like a teenybopper, asking dafuq questions, and missing key cue moments? Idiotic questions like these are probably the reason Tuomas Holopainen gives such few interviews. One can see him shoot a 'the things i do for money' glance at someone off camera several times. I cannot believe this person had the chance to talk to such an interesting human, and this was what he asked. Goodness!
Our Tuomas on the other hand (yes, us fans have claimed him as ours, sorry Johanna), dear God, what a man, what an storyteller. I will continue to watch crap interviews just because I get to watch him speak.

I highly appreciate Tuomas' talent for composing. I am completely stunned by what he did with "Phantom of the opera". I HATE that original song. It's beyond ugly. It's awful. But his adaptation is jaw-dropping. The drum and bass part.... amazing. And Tarja+ Marko added unbelievable magic to it. This song in this interpretation and these singers is Nightwish in full glory. And when it comes to original compositions "Meadows of heaven" and "Eva" are my absolutely favourite. They are masterpieces of music.
