Thank's for the feedback Me Notyou, you'll enjoy getting yourself out there and off the beaten trail, especially when the roads are a bit on the slippy side. Let us know which rides you enjoy the most, we may have some more routes we can suggest for you. Cheers Steve
nice vid, good job
Nice video - I must ride that sometime soon.
It is a great ride, we are lucky to have so many fantastic rides pretty close to us in the peak district. I hope you manage to ride the route soon with all this great weather, let us know how it goes!
Nice videos thanks
Cheers Darren, glad you like videos, this weeks has been delayed but should be ready for tomorrow. :)
Nice vid guys. i recognise bits of the route as have done the ladybower route...but have not done this one. How long was it? Also have you a map, link or gpx link? thanks. keep up the good work :)
Thank's Aaron, you can see the route and get some extra stats over on Strava www.strava.com/activities/504633428. It's a good route and was around the 18-mile mark.
Is there an app i can get on my phone that will have a map of this ride for me to follow do you know?
Hi ViolenT, I use MotionX GPS on iPhone, you can probably get hold of Viewranger in any format of phone. You would then grab the route or create it based on my route on something like bikehike.co.uk
What’s your name on Strava ? The link in the description isn’t working
Hi the name on Strava is "Steve Kirby", I checked the link and it worked fine for me, but took a few seconds though. If you are already a member of Strava and logged in you should be able to see it www.strava.com/activities/504633428
18 mile, should only take about an hour, any more roues round there?
Good effort on potato alley, that's a proper descent! Didn't fancy The Beast and cut off the A57 road section?
I had tried the beast before, and it was rough. As we had some more casual riders with us we wanted to try what I thought would have been a longer but "less stressful" route, I am not sure it was :)
Ha. I've had worse crashes on potato than beast, that's for sure!
Great video. I want to try this route. Is the a gpx route file. I can't find one for this route.
Cheers
It looks as though there is a description and GPX here Matt. www.mudandroutes.com/routes/a-win-hill-mtb-circuit/ , hope that helps.
After Roman road it’s called spud ally decent
I am based in Stoke on trent and looking to join others for these type of rides both for inspiration, sharing knowledge and having people to ride with. There's the safety in numbers aspect too. I have done a few peak district rides and looking to do more. Please message me if interested
Potato alley ;)
