I bought this in blue last November, for $137. It's one of my favorite watches.
Everything about it is great; looks, wearability, legibility, and especially the night visibility. The turbine is unique and the movement looks awesome.
Mine is excellent quality throughout.
❤
*Finally* this cool piece is getting some media coverage it deserves.
James reviewed this ages ago now and still I've not got round to buying one ,looks a real nice and different watch.
As an ex-Aerospace engineer I am very tempted by this watch but I just wanted to say that it isn't strictly a turbine wheel on the dial but actually an aero engine fan wheel with fan blades and I think it elevates the watch above other fleiger's.
It's a really nice touch indeed. I work in a different Turbine field, so this just reminds me of work whenever I look at it 🤣
I just went and checked mine, looked at the brushing on the sides- and it is consistent, all the way.
I really love this piece, definitely a top favourite 👌🏻🤗
Really appreciate your reviews man. I've seen several reviews on this watch and you're the only reviewer who picked up on the inconsistent brushing.
It's a pet peeve of mine. 🔍🔍
I've had this watch for 2, maybe 3 months now. I have 7 watches, don't need anymore, but this is my go-to for most occasions. I have two Timex's, an Addiesdive Coffee sand dial, a San Martin SN0129 automatic GMT marble dial, and a Daniel Stieger. The problem is, ever time I'm wearing any other watch, whenever I look down at my wrist, I wish I were wearing my Turbine Custom. I just love this watch so much! A stunning piece.
However, I've been giving my San Martin more wrist time lately and it is making a big impression. But it's a DRESS watch 100% and i just don't have the occasion to wear it often.
a great looking pilots watch, big watch with a big crown as it should be and the movement fits all that care so nicely. if i were to pick a pilot's watch this is it.
I picked this up for $118 last sale, still on its way.
I’m waiting on mine now Steve!🤤😎
Super cool but with a 7in wrist I could maybe just barely pull it off, and I just don’t buy enough watches to buy something I can maybe barely pull off. Thanks for the great detailed review! That Baltany on the other hand (no pun intended) I thought I had zero interest in it, but all the different reviews are slowly changing my mind!
Will you do a review of the WatchDives WD7922? It's just come out and I think it's pretty interesting, being the first VH31 BB54 homage I've found on the market :)
I thought I replied to you...but yes, I've got the red bezel version. Will review it soon 👍
Hi. To avoid any danger of over-winding, how many turns do you apply to rewind from standstill?
@@mindfulawareness1 on this one for me it was about 50 cranks (not revolutions) of the movement. This one got pretty firm and was fairly obvious when it was getting tight. Just don't force it and you'll be good
@@EscapeWheel thank you so much. It's a great watch.
Yours has a different moment then mine
This one is waiting for me in the 11.11 sale
If you are in the US and want it now, shoot me an email at escape.wheelwr@gmail.com
Is there 2 version of this watch? Bcs water resistance were 50m/100m
not that I'm aware of...where did you see 100m?
@@EscapeWheel probable there are 2 version of that watch because all the sellers show 2 different prices. The newer one (cheaper btw) says 100m
@@sanatevreni2275 the link I was given from the store shows 50m 🤷. But yes now that you mention it I think there was another movement option early on and this is now the one they use. Can't remember what the previous movement was, though...maybe that has 100m.
The movement you are showing is different then the one on your Ali listing
I see 2 different moments on the listing. Both are just different versions of the ST36XX movements. One looks like the video (I believe it's the ST3620) the other has the long regulator arm (ST3621) and there's even a fancier ST3600 model (not in the listing)
All seem to be an ETA/Unitas clone movement.
Lovely watch, shame lug to lug too big for my 6.75 inch wrist
Perfect for my 8 inch wrist!
I wear mine on my 6.5 inch wrist and it wears well. If you can wear a casioak, you can wear this.
140 USD was the lowest I've seen this watch at. Very tempting but I look at my 16cm wrist and I have to look away lol.
I got mine on a bor bracelet bc im a bracelet guy, i softened the crown sharp edges with fine sandpaper and btw there's green lume under the fan, its wick but its there.
Worth to mention this is a homage to the Iwc big pilot edition Markus buhler turbine movement.
This is a totally awesome watch! im glad its 43mm bc if it was smaller, everyone would have it lol
I got mine for abt 185$
From where i got it, it had the st3621 movement advertised in the pics (the fancier one) and if i remember correctly they replaced it to this for reliability.
That price is not 180
nice but too big.
Review the Amfibia turbina please
