The Watch Dives version definitely looks better. I’m curious, how would you say the watch dives version compares to the Rolex Daytona? as far as finishing and quality? Obviously the Rolex has the better movement and the better history and heritage. how far apart are they as far as the finishing aspect?
I won't pretend like I have handled a daytona before...but it's the rule of dimishing returns here. these watches are probably 80% as nice as the rolex on the outside, for a small fraction of the price of the rolex. yeah, it'll be better in every way...but will you appreciate those differences? I get the same way about pagani vs San martin...it's just a lot more feasible to "jump up" when you are talking 50$ vs $300 instead of $50 vs $15,000
Had the Pagani black dial. Nice watch actually, but the printing on the sub dials was so faint(black on silver) that it was illegible. Lume was also poor. Watch dives version seems like an awesome deal!
Steve I’ve got a few of the Pagani chronograph models in varying colours of course!🤣 For the money re Pagani, you cannot go wrong! I appreciate the Watchdives is a step up, to a point, & I think the subdials are definitely better aesthetically. I do currently have one in my basket but don’t think I’ll get it, as I believe the Pagani is just fantastic value! Good comparison mate.👍🏼
Have one and my impression is that the bracelet is what is a bit of a let down- a better quality bracelet and maybe a bit of a price increase accordingly would.help this watch become.almost a clone of tje daytona
c'mon guys dont hate on eachother for having different tastes. I have had the pagani panda for a while and now my dad has it. I do prefer the watch dives myself and have that one in my collection. Great review.
Just found your channel and happy I did so. As a former watch enthusiast I'm having to start over from a lower price point. Thank you so much for the comparison between the 2. I have to disagree with you I think overall I would have gone with the Pagani. I think the price and the date is what sold me. I have a $500 citizen techometer and it shakes as bad as the Pagani. If I could ask when you did the comparison between the 2 if you could put the movement on there as well. Thanks!
Movement has its own section...they are the same movements. I could have gone into more detail, but feel free to watch the Pagani Daytona review I did a while ago...solid movements.
Watchdives version looks too off IMO. Bold font on the bezel + incredibly busy 9 o'clock subdial. Understand the point about usability, but I prefer aesthetics personally I do prefer their company logo and the lack of a date window though
This Pagani was one of the first watches I bought about 4 years ago but it was a bit boring after a whilw. I sold it and bought the PD1664 rose gold black dial on a rubber strap as soon as it was available. And it's absolutely perfect. Looks like milion dollars:)
I would choose the Pagani any day. Why? Because the dial is hard to read on both due to the silver subdial hands and white dial, so I will go with the cheaper one 😂
Did you unscrew them before pushing? Seems like common sense to me but I don't know your watch knowledge level. If it still didn't work, contact the store and get a replacement.
I'm ok with the "bold" font, but I agree. It's something I mentioned to them. If they do a V2 I'd suggest using a metallic silver paint in the bezel instead of white/lumed...no body needs a lumed tachymeter scale....especially since the Chrono seconds hand isn't lumed....lol
those watches are on another level. they are really nice. Lume and crystal are about the same, I feel like the case finishing is about the same as well, same with the dial. big difference is again the bracelet...the sugess bracelet is as much of a step up from the WD as the WD is from the pagani. it also has a razor thin rehaut which looks incredible, and then throw in the movement differences. if you are after the be-all-end-all Daytona, I wouldn't settle for these...but these are great for a quick grab n go daily piece.

@@Martin94416 Then the Pagani? Respectively, yes it absolutely does.

I have the WD and it is incredible 👌

Is the quality of Sugess Daytona V4 worth the extra money than the WD?

Indeed, the value of the PD's are crazy, enjoy them (all 🤣)
Thank you!
I'm really impressed with everything WatchDives. I love my WD5512
the 5512 is an incredible sub homage. that bezel action is *chef's kiss

It would look great on a jubilee
the dial on the watch dives is off by a click or two. i notice it on mine too

I've had the Pagani version for a week now, I dont get the rattle 🤷♂️
Inconsistent bracelets and tolerances...you may get lucky and get a good one...this is my 3rd one and they all fell/sound the same to me...lol 🤷
I have a couple Paganis and never had a bracelet that rattles. Guess I'm lucky. It's a great watch and only paid $40
Subdials are too small on the WD. Everything else looks good and the bezel slope and engravings are much better than the PD…

The second hands pusher didn’t work in my wd. Not sure if it’s a rare case or if many other customers are experiencing the same issue
Did you unscrew them before pushing? Seems like common sense to me but I don't know your watch knowledge level.

Thanks that's what I did and contacted the reseller. Otherwise I concur with your view. It's a bang for the buck. Watchdives are rocking it
How's it possible in this day and age PD can improve the lume on their watches?
Fine balance between cost and features...they don't see a need and why should they considering the number of watches sold 🤷
It's not just the lume and the bracelet, the subdials on the watchdives are much nicer.
On Bezels they should use thinner fonts and use a slightly off white paint. White paint looks cheap.

Why always this mixing up the VK63 to be the VK64? You're not the only one!
Same basic movement, and I can't be together to keep them straight...lol
would this fit an 8" wrist?
@@TheCompton2010 it would be tight... Might need to ask for more links or get the glide lock clasp
@@EscapeWheel thanks. I was planning on doing just that for functionality.. does the glidelock add overall length then?
How does it compare to the Sugess datona?

The lumed bezel is just a gimmick as the chrono hand is not lumed so can't be used in the dark anyway.
It's overpriced compared to the Pagani.
Thanks
Lol it's not blurred!
Lol, Yaaaahhh! That's what I get for trying to squeeze this one out quick 🤦
@@EscapeWheel should always take your time when you wanna squeeze one out.
People who say the watchdives is better, need to wash their face.. no taste
it's almost like different people have different opinions...who knew?
