As someone who has mixed feelings on time travel, Eon both intrigues and confuses me as a vilain. Partly due to his seemingly contradicting backstories. I'm interested to see where you ultimately take him in 5YL. Fun fact: Judd Nelson also voiced Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime in both Transformers Generation 1 and Animated.
U also gotta remember In classic figured out the test in dream world and remember the exact reason he turned into the wolf he also showed photo graphic memory

I don't know. Just hearing older Ben talk to his younger cousin felt heartwarming. Aside from other quirks, Ben has grown a lot. Credit to Yuri for his voicing.
@@TheInkTank your thoughts on 37:56 you say it doesn't make sense, but I think it does, Kuro. Young Ben is in Teen Ben's body with an Omnitrix that has the data dump. Meanwhile, Teen Ben has used Clockwork before, so he doesn't need a data dump in his younger body
@@margarithadamaledo6631Definitely a miss on his part, not even sure why it's a nitpick. He even brought it up earlier with Armadillo, but that was probably because Ben is "synced" with the Omnitrix and it should actually give him exactly what he wants, but he just hits it too hard and messes up some calibration
@@TheInkTankyou said it's strange how young Ben knows how to use clockwork because "data dump doesn't exist in classic"so are you talking about teen Ben in young Ben's body or young Ben in teen Ben's body?
Something I noticed when rewatching this Episode is that 16 Y/O Ben was using Diamondhead against Eon because Ultimate Ben in UA was the one who dropped the "Diamonds dont age quickly", so Ben was actually using a good alien for once because he was prepping if Eon were to use his Rays, and why he was confused on the lack of them.
@@dilloon7626but we don’t know if Chromastone can absorb time beams or if he could age because unlike diamond head we don’t know what his material composition is
@@Stillhandling101 that’s mainly cuz Charmcaster’s machine is made up of countless souls in Ledgerdomain and Chromastone is made of crystals which is why I said he could counter Time Beams since it won’t age him to dust and Eon’s blast ain’t all that powerful for Chromastone to handle.
I love 10-year-old Clockworks design. Its expression is so cute. Also, this episode takes body swap to the next level by making the body swap happen to Ben only and his past and present versions. Such an amazing episode.
21:18 This is actually consistent with what Paradox said when Ben first met him: "Young Ben has an innate sense of trans-temporal meta-physics, which will serve him well in his future... or should I say past"
I remember when I was like 11 on a plane ride and watched this episode over and over again at midnight cause the plane had nothing interesting, pretty good episode
Paradox may be INTENTIONALLY MISLEADING people about his relance on the Chrononavigator. Imagine how much you can get away with by tricking people into thinking you have no way out without the silly watch but you can still just walk out at any time
I don't know if I'd say the "Exactly 5 years" thing is a shot in the dark. If Ben was being smart, he'd probably have checked the date once he realized he was in the past.
It also makes a certain amount of sense that there'd be necessary conditions for a temporal mind swap like what Ben experiences. It is admittedly making assumptions, but Eon did say it wasn't what he was going for, so the idea that whatever Eon did with that time grab attack only had that effect because it was used on two instances of the same person in the same place but at different points in time does feel rather intuitive. If there was additional requirements of it needing to be the same day/ time of day displaced by years that doesn't feel like too much of a stretch, and Ben would probably have picked up on the season which would give him an estimate.
Crazy how your original ‘why Ben ten can beat anyone’ video was posted just as I started secondary school and this is posted the day I finish my final exam and leave, thank you Kuro.
This episode was probably the biggest Big Brain Move that Ben has ever had in the entire franchise, as he had to: - Hide the Gauntlet somewhere Eon wouldn't find it - Spread clues throughout the city in places he knew would remain intact for years - Hide the clues behind obstacles that only his Aliens would have access to. - Trusting that Gwen would remember years later to go talk to him to start the treasure hunt And all this just with the Aliens he had in the Classic series (+Feedback) and with the time limit and recharge time between transformations
@@cxthednalien But it was older Ben in young Ben's body. Maybe Asmuth told him something or he could've figured it out easier after years of using more perfected Omnitrixes
@@newil_yovac Azmuth says at the end of UA that he'll give Ben the Master Control on his 18th birthday. I don't think he would have given any hints before that, and prior activations are either Ben fucking around and getting it by sheer luck, someone with far more knowledge hacking into it, or Azmuth himself (his voice is essentially the root password).
6:46 Ditto never needed to merge back together to transform back. In Divided We Stand, Ditto timed out normally after he trapped the mutant seagull in the volleyball net even though he was still duplicated. So the way it works is the Ditto clones need to be close together in order to timeout, they don't need to become one Ditto again. The dramatic merge and timeout they had at the end was only a result of the timeout function being blocked for so long that the Omnitrix forced them together
I have a special relationship with this episode. During CN’s 20th anniversary I went on a vacation to Atlantis in the Bahamas and to my surprise the whole place was Cartoon Networked themed so there were a bunch of different attractions like a mascot parade and an adventure time obstacle course but the coolest thing was getting to see new episodes of shows before their aired on TV and this one was one of them. I got to see Ben Again before anybody else did, and I won a Ben 10 T-Shirt for having the Ultimatrix on my wrist. I think that was genuinely one of the best days of my life.
About the Chrononavigator, I personally always assumed Paradox can freely travel through time even without it, but he created it for ease of access. Think about it like this, you’re at a computer with thousands of files on it. You could easily flip through every single file one by one until you find the one you need, or you can use the far simpler search bar and find exactly the one you need in moments. That’s what I choose to believe the navigator is for, convenience for Paradox’s travels so he doesn’t have to meticulously search through each timeline for the exact moment he needs, and instead has an assistant device that does it for him.
11-year-old ben may never turn into arctiguana but we do see it as part of 12-year-old Kevin's amalgam form during the rooters ark flashback. Though i feel like that means that og future ben stopped naming his aliens at 11.
@@Babybigchillthat's a neat idea, tho I feel like Ben 10,000 probably would've like warned his younger self, even if indirectly, if something like that had happened. Like even if he couldn't directly warn his younger self he probably still could've been like "remember to not overuse any of your aliens, trust me." or something lol
@@theleonpasta7336if they were to redo the series set art style and everything else with the knowledge nowadays they definitely could do that and call it the ben 10 upgrade that could definitely be useful plus they could try to redo their original season three as a or not idk because I like some of the episodes from the season three we got
Nice to see Ditto again and voiced by Rob Paulson. Eon design in Omniverse is very good. “The Chronosapiens have gone rogue” and we only see Maltruant. I would like to know about that.
Something I've always liked about Paradox and Eon's Omniverse designs, is that their designs are conceptually very similar. With Eon's being a more 'evil', extreme take on Paradox's new design. Paradox has goggles? Eon has a glass dome helmet. Paradox has fluffy shoulder pads on his jacket? Eon has metal shoulder pads IN the jacket. Paradox has shoes that go above his ankles? Eon's goes above his knees. Eon's techno-glove thing is even designed louder, and on the opposite arm to Paradox's Chrono-Navigator.
You might not understand the power of the chrono-navigator, but I accidentally did figure it out one day. Instead of thinking of time as a tree, think of it as a river that constantly flows. Every time the timeline deviants, it's essentially creating a separate river. When one accidentally creates a new timeline, they therefore have to travel alone that new river. In order to return to the original timeline, one must return to the original split in the river. The chrono-navigator is essentially a map tracking each respective river from "the shoreline" moving outside of time and maneuvering among the different splits. A way to travel to different rivers without calculating which split to go to
30:10 I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and I think that both the Omnitrix and any objects created by the Omnitrix for a given transformation are able to take on the physical properties/abilities of the alien being used. The Omnitrix turns invisible/intangible alongside Ghostfreak, Big Chill, and Ampfibian. It duplicates alongside Ditto and Echo Echo. It shrinks with Nanomech and Grey Matter, or grows with Way Big. It survives the destruction of the universe alongside Alien X (quite ironically, since the destruction of the Omnitrix can destroy the universe as well). And it can blorp through machinery as Upgrade. So I'm guessing that with Goop, both the Omnitrix and the anti-gravity projector can take on the amorphic qualities of his body, explaining why he gets away with squeezing through spaces smaller than either of those devices.
Makes sense to me. I mean, NRG's suit is created specifically to protect everything around it _from_ NRG himself, and the projector was likewise stated to _not_ be a standard feature of Goop's species, so it'd make sense that the Omnitrix can alter its properties to suit the situation.
This is by far my favorite version of Ditto. Omniverse style, classic series color scheme. I just, don't really like every alien having a green jumpsuit lol
I dont like the OV artstyle but I agree with your irritation towards the green jumpsuits. Its grown to be an eyesore honestly. Humungousaur, Diamondhead, Wildvine, Big Chill, etc need to take that crap off lmao

@@temidayobello1311 I prefer OS Eyeguy because he looks like an actual alien there. XLR8, Stinkfly, Upgrade and Eyeguy having green on their white parts make sense, but its overdone on other aliens. What I like about OV are its details, not designs. Like Ben's UAF jacket having pockets and looking like its actual leather, Water Hazard's barnacles, Ultimate Humungousaurs silver skin and Goops Omnitrix being on his anti gravity projector for example. I like Nanomech's design in OV and AS the most coz he looks like a proper humanoid robotic insect. And in UA Fourarms defense, he doesnt look like a big baby wearing underwear. He actually looks cool unlike OV Humungousaur
I think the real reason Eon wanted the chrono navigator was because he was already trapped in a single timeline so then he could escape and start collecting evil Bens. That is the key here I think. In his other appearances he is obviously not trapped, so he wouldn't need it to do that. Unless I am forgetting something, but that is what I think is his reason for the chrono navigator even if the episode doesn't say so. Also I just realized the navigator could've made his ben hunt more efficient as he says in And There Was Ben, "this Ben is proving to be a real pain. There must be easier Bens to persuade" implying that Eon has no idea where he could end up on the hunt for Bens. So the navigator could also help with that.
39:21 To elaborate on this more: Judd Nelson voiced Rodimus Prime in the 1986 Transformers movie, and reprised that role in the third season of Transformers Animated, which shares a lot of crew members with Omniverse. They liked having him so much they planned to bring him back for the fourth season, but the show was cancelled after season 3. So Nelson's casting in Omniverse is him and the crew finally getting to work together again!
Okay haven't seen the breakdown yet but my favorite things about this episode are: 1. The background of the dimension where eon has paradox trapped in looking like an evil version of the transformation background 2. 11yo clockwork, say what you want but I like his design 3. This is more of a dubbing thing, (latin spanish specifically, ua and ov era were kinda dark for us latam viewers in terms of Dubbing, and adaptation) in this episode Paradox is voiced by Jesse Conde, recurrent voice of tiggr, captain Barbosa, Mr boss in smiling friends, temporal voice of Salem in Sabrina the teenage witch and spectacular/2002 spider-man green goblin. Personally my favorite paradox voice in OV I really like the translation and adaptation of media so I wanted to share it with you folks at the English-speaking side of the fandom
I think the counter should ONLY go up "on scene" or "incident" based. For example, if ben breaks a wall in a fight with a chicken, and then a bar stool later in the same fight, that only adds +1 to the counter, not 2. BUT if he leaves and does other stuff, and then comes back later in the episode and breaks something else, that's a different scene/incident. If he breaks multiple things at around the same incident, that's still only 1 incident so it only counts as 1.
I kinda wish during the Armodrillo part Ben was like “Which one is that?” And Gwen or Rook point to which one. Either that or it’s just another example of “It always gives me the right alien, even if it want something different”
I think the reason he knows which alien it is is because Ben loves to name his aliens. It’s “part of the fun”. So, even if he sees only a little bit of it, he might be able to click this is the alien. See a giant bug? Stinkfly. A mummy? Benmummy/Snareoh. He just likes his names.
@brandoncastellano1858 Plus, it maybe wouldn't be too hard to follow the thought process considering it's himself. Like, "If I were me, which I am, this is the one I'd name armadillo"
Eon 100% does not know how paradox works. As of the device, paradox likely made it as a tool to help him safely navigate the timeline during the instability of a time war Think of it less like the map he already has, and a GPS that can constantly update, and warn him of broken paths
There's also the possibility that it's also just a way for him to just punch his own holes in the timeline, like they said when he originally showed up. He knew the shortcuts but what if he needed a way out and the only way out was through a wall.
@@mac124568 yeah, I guess that adds up, perhaps it would be more akin to having a car vs walking everywhere It probably does have upgrades specifically for the time war, which would explain why it looks so different, though that could have been paradox trying to hide it, which would explain the elegant outfit, as it would distract from the fact that his hand is different.
26:32 considering how smart ben is, he probably saw all the aliens and remembered them with his photographic memory. Once he realised armadrillo is an alien he probably concluded he named him so because it looked like an armadillo, and so he went back to 16 year old level familiarity with that alien. He just needed the clue that the armadillo like alien picture he saw was indeed him. And it wasn't that obvious either. Only a game of elimination
my preference for the new counter is similar to the first method but instead of it being once an episode, it's one time every time Ben walks into a shop. For example, if Ben was to walk into Bowman's shop and smashed five things, it would count as 1 but if Ben was to leave the shop, only to come back in the later in the same episode and smash 5 more things, it would add another 1 to the counter
I think the chrono navigator is just that a navigator for time and space, I imagine Paradox made it to help him travel the timelines and alternate universes as it could get quite confusing where you are travelling and where to go, so he made it to know like how many timelines or universes he needs to get through and what direction to go, to get where he wants to go
18:28 Would have been cooler if it was Eon's timeline which went to hell, since he's an alternate Ben 31:48 Man couldn't have done that at Pakmar's place instead? 33:47 And 12 year old Kevin's mutation 34:04 Yooooooo!!! 38:04 16 year old Clockwork has a small smile too. He's become jaded over the years, left behind all his joy in his childhood 42:50 Paradox trapped him in this timeline, so maybe that's what he meant?
I feel like Ben's older mind in his past body would be gaining the memories of the current event in a wacky way like Gwen was acquiring the memories & that's how he decides the "5 years from now find me" thing
Ditto's appearance in the Omniverse gives me an idea for an origin you can use in WORLD BEYOND. Taking into account that we have been confirmed that in the Omniverse Ben's aliens are adults and Ditto is much smaller than he was in the original series, my theory is that the Splixon species has a maturation process totally opposite to humans and other species. Instead of starting out as a small, helpless baby, Splixons start out as a large, muscular form between 2 and 4 meters tall. In this form they are strong and agile but their duplicating abilities are very limited a newborn Splixon can barely make a single clone and they do not have the telepathic network that allows them to share thoughts and pain and as they age they become smaller and weaker but with increasingly powerful duplicating abilities. In old age a Splixon is so powerful that he can create a million clones due to experience, and in old age their telepathic network stops working at all making them no longer one with their clones in any way (this would explain why in the Omniverse Ben no longer feels the pain of the clones because mature Splixons no longer feel the pain of the clones but communicate much more effectively with the clones via telepathy). And in old age because they can no longer communicate with their clones in any way Splixons feel very lonely suffering from depression and other problems. And in old age an adult Splixon will create as many clones as it can until the original dies of exhaustion and the rest of the remaining clones will start killing each other until only one clone remains and that remaining clone will become a ball of pure energy that it will absorb any intact parts from the bodies of the other clones and combine them to form another newly born Splixon this being how Splixons reproduce, each new born Splixon is both a clone of a dead member and a perfect combination of all the clones who gave their lives to allow this new Splixon to be created as the energy ball absorbs both the physical matter and memories of the clones to create the new body and the telepathic network that will allow the new Splixon to be united with his clones. It would be a dream come true if you used this in WORLD BEYOND.
Bro, why so dark 😦 Also, I don't like the idea of an entire species basically being clones of some long ago early one. How would evolution or genetic variance work for it? Humans now and humans 1,000,000 years ago are very different, but I don't see a Splixon that's been cloning itself for that same amount of time being all that different, especially if they're clones are busy killing one another. Also, how would its natural predator deal with that? We see Ben just recall his clones in that one episode, but if old age and weaker Splixons were just mindlessly spamming clones, the predator would eventually "devolve" to no longer need its own cloning because the Splixons are naturally creating tons of weaker old age clones for it to feast on.
Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Paradox plucked his knowledge about how time works out into a physical device. Someone with knowledge of seemingly endless timelines and the past, present and future of each of those timelines, he can only remember so much. So storing his knowledge in some external way to compensate for the human brain compacity sounds like him. So storing all the excess memory into the chrono-navigator to well navigate his own memories that he had to store to not lose them.
That makes a lot of sense. Despite Paradox's immense knowledge and power, he's still technically just a human, and humans can't store endless amounts of information in their head. This would also be another contrast between Paradox and the Doctor, since the Doctor seemingly can hold endless knowledge in his head due to being a Time Lord. I like how even though Paradox is based on the Doctor, there's still a few differences between them to make them unique
33:03; 33:13 Man, you didn't realize that every time Ben uses Articguana for the first time he says "Artiguana, cool!" It passed when he named it with Ben 10k, it passed when he unlocked/recovered him in Omniverse, and it passed when he used him here.
The pacing of Young Ben turning into Armadrillo is exactly how fast a kid would just go for something. Does it make sense that he just turned into it with no help? No, but him just going for it makes complete sense.
A simpler solution, though, could be that since they are all Ben, they're all thinking the same thing at specific moments. Not like a hive mind, but an observation thing that Ben can say or do at that time.
To add to the Articguana discussion at 33:21, during the Rooters flashback when 12 year old Kevin absorbs Ben's Omnitrix, Articguana's back spikes are visible in the design
Also what do you mean at 38:00 that it's "weird Young Ben knows how to use Clockwork since the data dump didn't exist in classic", the data dump would've applied to the young Ben inside Teen Ben's body since he's wearing the new Omnitrix and Teen Ben would already know how to use Clockwork so he wouldn't have needed a data dump
So, going through the scenes we got of the treasure hunt, here's what I imagine Ben would use: 1st clue: Diamondhead, as Ben needed to use a form that could reach the top of the light post and could make those scratches. They look like scratches, so I doubt Ben wrote them is as Heatblast; Stinkfly's regular claws don't seem sharp enough (and I doubt he's good enough with his stinger to do it), and he'd need to remove Ghostfreak's skin to use his claws. 2nd Clue: Grey Matter, Upgrade, or Ghostfreak. Depending on how it looked that far underground, Grey Matter could've added that clue provided there is enough space for him to actually get down there. Same for Upgrade. Ghostfreak's intangibility gets my main vote though. 3rd Clue: Grey Matter, Upgrade, or Ghostfreak. See previous guess, though it'd be easier as I doubt those pipes are blocked by as much solid stone as the 2nd clue. 4th Clue: Heatblast or Diamondhead. Those two are probably the only ones that could enter the reactor and survive long enough to add the coordinates. 5th Clue: Wildmutt, Wildvine, or Blitzwolfer (or rather Benwolf). Wildmutt and Wildvine are excellent diggers, and we've seen that the loboan from the OS was an excellent digger as well so I'd assume that Blitzwolfer would have a similar skill. Final Clue: Ghostfreak. He's the only alien Ben has at that point with intangibility to put the chrononavigator in the wall. Grey Matter could possibly squeeze inside, but I highly doubt he could carry the chrononavigator in with him.
I don't have any doubt with the aliens used but the ghostfreak one is maybe iffy, even though you are most likely right about it. I'd imagine ben seeing ghostfreak in the watch would actually freak him out and kinda avoid it as much as possible due to remembering all that's happened in the past. But again, i don't doubt that he used him for that clue.
@pedroherrera8762 honestly, it's probably a new thing that even azmuth didn't think of, so seeing it would have probably spark new safe guards for the future omnitrix! I think that'd be a neat idea
I think why Eon can cross the time periods and not everyone else is likely when he messed with the two's Omntitrixes, and causing the temporal mental swap, he sort of "detached" himself from the timeline in a sense. Think of it like editing a video. Everything's record and set in place. And Eon as an edited effect, which can be placed wherever, whenever. It's hard to explain, but that's my headcanon.
This was such a fun and good episode. I also really liked it as a semi contrast to Ben 10K's first appearance in the OG series where he was just the worse and needed an attitude adjustment. Omniverse Ben may not always got to be this consistently mature, but I think any version of him in Omniverse is on a better path than a Ben who willingly just doesn't see Grandpa Max anymore (even on his Birthday) and has turned the Omnitrix into a 24/7 job and escape from life. 10:11, I'm one that really liked Paradox's costume change but it gave me vibes of going from the kinda boring modern who outfits to the more varied classic who. I immediately thought Tom Baker with a Robot arm.
The annoying thing about this episode is that it sets up really awesome ideas for later in the series that never really get paid off like the Time War and the Chronosapiens going rogue.
9:43 I mean, ever since "so long and thanks for all the smoothies". This is technically the first time Ben has seen Gwen since then, because current Gwen is a copy.
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265It has been said that the universe is a near perfect copy, including data in the brain, whatever effect was put on 11 yr. old Gwen must have been copied too. This episode is weird with the temporal memories, as the timeline gets affected, Gwen's memories do too and the copy gets her memories.( That's the best I can come up with because this doesn't make a lot of sense to me either)
Judd Nelson is also known for voicing Hot Rod/Rodimus in The Transformers: The Movie and reprised his role in Transformers: Animated, which was also worked on by Derrick J. Wyatt.
6:36 Most likely they're psychically connected, which is why they can feel each other's pain, maybe they should've used that concept and had Ditto be more coordinated than Echo Echo so Ben would have an actual reason to use him over Echo Echo.
23:41 The most recent Doctor Who episode at the time of this video addresses this as well, in that the Doctor cannot time travel to a point he's already present in, and being in any point in time and space locks him from going back to that same point in time and space.
Unless, of course, it's already a Fixed Point that there _were_ multiple of him at the time (literally every Multi-Doctor episode, but *_especially_* "No sir... all THIRTEEN!"), with Time Shenanigans making all but the "latest" Doctor forget what happened, to ensure later iterations couldn't use their prior memories of having gone through it already. So unless Doc _experienced_ there being more than one of him at a given event, it does "lock out" future selves from revisiting it, to ensure consistency. Doc's timestream is a big enough eleventh-dimensional gordian knot _without_ self-retconning in additional visits...
4:35 I agree. Both actors probably know each other's roles pretty well so it would be fun to see how they emulate the other the actors essentially play the same role, but they have to act like the person they're body swapped with for example in that one Gravity falls episode. Dippers VA could still play dipper, but he has to act like Mabel same with Mabels VA having to act like Dipper.
If you ask me the Clockwork scene works on multiple fronts. Since in UA when both Bens transformed at the same time they both turned into Four Arms despite neither of them going for him. This changes the if from it just not working to they might turn into something they both have access to. Also "young" Ben using Clockwork works because if the data dump does exist in the OV Omnitrix then he gets it and "teen" Ben doesn't need it since he knows how to use Clockwork.
I think the mind swap plot still fully works even though teen Ben falls back into old ways sometimes because I think it’s more about how the younger characters (Gwen and Max in the case of young teen Ben in his 11 year old body and young Ben in teen Ben’s body in teen Ben’s world) reacting to the switch and also interacting with both versions of themselves at the end. Also, with the time travel dialogue at the end with Gwen, they’re technically two different people, yes they’re physically the same person just different ages, but personally wise, they are fully different people
I see it as that if paradox is the map he knows where to go but he needs a compass to know which direction to go. He knows he needs to go north and he sees it, but he doesn’t know which way is north
For The know how on Clockwork, Young Ben is using the Omnitrix with Data Dump, Older Ben is using the Prototype. While Older Ben may not have the Data Dump, he already knows how to use Clockwork.
I have to be honest, I always thought the chrono navigator was something Paradox made after just getting learning how to travel through time, but the navigator made it easier to do thing more precisely/to an exact point.
38:06 Ben knows how to use clockwork The past Ben in the present Ben has the watch with the data dump The present Ben in past Ben doesn’t need the data dump because he know how clockwork functions
Considering this is one of Kuro's favourite episodes, in the 5YL Comics, is this where he got that inspiration for Clockwork to sue the time rapture caused by Divinity?
"nobody would think that the end of the treasure hunt is back at the start" Literally anyone would think that, it's the 1234 password of treasure hunts, hide the treasure literally anywhere else and they'll have no idea no matter how hard they try to cheese it
22:14 Love that animation of 11yo Ben in 16yo Ben's body freaking out over Gwevin. XD Also the thing about Rook looking like a DCAU character was funny as hell.
well pakmar had it rough. being stranded on a planet with a poisonous atmosphere, having to train tiny aliens to help fix his spaceship failing and surviving only because the aliens carried him to their onion hive and fused him with a plant so he could breathe oxygen
Ben using diamonhead is a great detail to show his experience since it has been established by Ben 10000 that diamonds resist the effect of time. Come to think of it, young Ben using XLR8 is a good way to show inexperience too because speed can easily be countered by time manipulation.
"Ben Again" is the first Omniverse episode I remember catching on TV while I was at my Aunt's house and while I was confused at why the show looked so different from the UAF era, it was still a fun time.
35:35 Considering the fact that they can literally see the otherside of the temporal portal it implies at least photons (light) can travel through it, so Eon's lasers who at least following the logic of real lasers which are also made from a concentraded beam of photons would have no problem doing so The problem with organic life travelling through the portal is probably something aking to it ages way faster, and since light doesn't age it would have no problem with this
This episode actually means a lot to me, saw it when it aired originally when I was sick and puking badly, around that time I got so dehydrated I almost died and this episode made me really happy in a bad time
I have a theory as to why Gwen remembered the promise she made to Ben to find him 5 years from that moment. I believe that time can be bypassed to a certain extent, at least from a mental standpoint, with a strong emotional connection. Even though they’re at each other’s throats more often than not (at least their 11 year old versions), you know that they care deeply for each other. So when 11 year old Gwen realized how serious Ben was about her making and keeping that promise and she decided to make and keep that promise in her heart and mind, that promise/emotional connection they have with one another bypassed all the time stuff. It might sound sappy, but it’s true: Love can overcome anything. (Including time in this specific instance)
I like to imagine that the map Paradox has in his head is a kind of array of 3D maps of time-space. However, the time-space continuum as he uses it is a 4D concept, and he uses the navigator to calculate that last dimension so he knows which map to use and how to follow it as it changes. It’s a compass and a pinpoint.
on the chrono-navigator front, I like to think of it that Professor Paradox has the map in his head still like in UAF, he just has the chrono-navigator because he can and sometimes does age. because of this to ensure that he double checks himself on locations of when and where he has the chrono-navigator to double check and ensure he is going when and where it's safe.
36:15 it still is the same time of day in 16 year old Ben’s present The sky is darker because of Eon tried to use the chrono-navigator to kill the timelines, the attempt to destroy the timelines is literally creating that lightning storm u were praising the effects of
I like to think Ben used Snare-oh to get the clue into the nuclear reactor since Thep Khufans have been shown to be immune to the effects of dangerous substances like corrodium
6:46 About that in Dittos debut episode after Ben first used him when he timed out he was split into two dittos so ditto didn't necessarily need to merge back together for Ben to change back Unless one of them was miles away
7:31 Ben's job is getting clonked on the noggin though. 18:51 He did say Paradox never took advantage of the Chrono Navigator's full power so I wouldn't say Paradox is at all reliant on it.
In one of the Rooter's Flashbacks, we do see 11-Year Old Ben does have access to Artiguanna because Kevin's Flashback Mutation does have its spikes as one of his traits. I dont remember him actually becoming him though
For some reason, that scene of Young Ben turning to Armodrillo just kills me. Maybe its the face, maybe its the poor pacing or maybe its fact he just slaps the omnitrix and got the correct alien without even activating the dial. Either way, cracks me up
26:56 I mean, I'd assume he (Young Ben) knew that was Armadrillo due to him looking like an armadillo. It's like saying "Use Spider Monkey!" and him figuring out the one that looks like a monkey and spider slapped together was it. Granted, Ben has an alien called "Four Arms" which describes three of them at least (Spider Monkey included) so it's not exactly the best reason. But I don't think it's too far fetched for him to put the two together.

Hope your exam went well!
How did the exam go?
14:35 Eon with the OV outfit and the RAT Helmet would be the perfect design choice.
Yeah I'd be peak
This episode was probably the biggest Big Brain Move that Ben has ever had in the entire franchise, as he had to:
- Hide the Gauntlet somewhere Eon wouldn't find it
- Spread clues throughout the city in places he knew would remain intact for years
- Hide the clues behind obstacles that only his Aliens would have access to.
- Trusting that Gwen would remember years later to go talk to him to start the treasure hunt
And all this just with the Aliens he had in the Classic series (+Feedback) and with the time limit and recharge time between transformations
I wonder if he could give himself temporary access to the Master Control? Since it's the prototype Omnitrix that can be messed around with more easily
@@newil_yovac Propably not since he did unlock it on accident and couldnt figure out the combination after deactivating it

@@newil_yovac Azmuth says at the end of UA that he'll give Ben the Master Control on his 18th birthday.
Omnitrix went like I don’t want to keep hitting snooze I need my rest I’m forcing them to come back together
That sounds like an awesome time, glad you had that experience!
God was on your side bro
Maybe that Ben lost feedback as well and decided to stop naming his aliens so he wouldn’t get attached to them.
@@Babybigchillthat's a neat idea, tho I feel like Ben 10,000 probably would've like warned his younger self, even if indirectly, if something like that had happened. Nice to see Ditto again and voiced by Rob Paulson.
Eon design in Omniverse is very good.
“The Chronosapiens have gone rogue” and we only see Maltruant. I would like to know about that.
Me too
Something I've always liked about Paradox and Eon's Omniverse designs, is that their designs are conceptually very similar.
A way to travel to different rivers without calculating which split to go to
Kinda like how Garnet from Steven Universe handles her future vision.
As Kuro once said, "I'd believe that only if the writers actually thought about that."

That could be the reason. Paradox did say he locked Eon in the main timeline and dimension, preventing him from going elsewhere in the multiverse.
@@SecretMagicianhmm interesting 🤔
39:21 To elaborate on this more: Judd Nelson voiced Rodimus Prime in the 1986 Transformers movie, and reprised that role in the third season of Transformers Animated, which shares a lot of crew members with Omniverse. They liked having him so much they planned to bring him back for the fourth season, but the show was cancelled after season 3. So Nelson's casting in Omniverse is him and the crew finally getting to work together again!
Okay after hearing that Judd Nelson is now my fav Ben 10k
Okay haven't seen the breakdown yet but my favorite things about this episode are:
1. The background of the dimension where eon has paradox trapped in looking like an evil version of the transformation background
2. 11yo clockwork, say what you want but I like his design
3. Personally my favorite paradox voice in OV
I really like the translation and adaptation of media so I wanted to share it with you folks at the English-speaking side of the fandom
Just make it exactly like the car repairs
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 What I described is EXACTLY how the car counter works. So I fully agree! ^u^
@@Hadeks_Marow oh. I kind of skimmed your comment. But makes sense.

Same
I wish that was part of that scene.
@@nellewoodruff6337 exactly!
Eon 100% does not know how paradox works. As of the device, paradox likely made it as a tool to help him safely navigate the timeline during the instability of a time war
Think of it less like the map he already has, and a GPS that can constantly update, and warn him of broken paths
There's also the possibility that it's also just a way for him to just punch his own holes in the timeline, like they said when he originally showed up. He knew the shortcuts but what if he needed a way out and the only way out was through a wall.
@@mac124568 yeah, I guess that adds up, perhaps it would be more akin to having a car vs walking everywhere
It probably does have upgrades specifically for the time war, which would explain why it looks so different, though that could have been paradox trying to hide it, which would explain the elegant outfit, as it would distract from the fact that his hand is different.
I think the chrono navigator is just that a navigator for time and space, I imagine Paradox made it to help him travel the timelines and alternate universes as it could get quite confusing where you are travelling and where to go, so he made it to know like how many timelines or universes he needs to get through and what direction to go, to get where he wants to go
18:28 Would have been cooler if it was Eon's timeline which went to hell, since he's an alternate Ben
31:48 Man couldn't have done that at Pakmar's place instead?
33:47 And 12 year old Kevin's mutation
34:04 Yooooooo!!!
38:04 16 year old Clockwork has a small smile too. He's become jaded over the years, left behind all his joy in his childhood
42:50 Paradox trapped him in this timeline, so maybe that's what he meant?
Bro, why so dark 😦
Also, I don't like the idea of an entire species basically being clones of some long ago early one.
That's actually a good idea
@@christianparrish3292 and not the single one that I have.
This is cool!
@@peterpetrelli2529 can u tell more of these ideas
That makes perfect sense all things considered
Are you a fan of the Cosmere or The Stormlight Archive?
33:03; 33:13
Man, you didn't realize that every time Ben uses Articguana for the first time he says "Artiguana, cool!"
It passed when he named it with Ben 10k, it passed when he unlocked/recovered him in Omniverse, and it passed when he used him here.
The pacing of Young Ben turning into Armadrillo is exactly how fast a kid would just go for something. Does it make sense that he just turned into it with no help? No, but him just going for it makes complete sense.
I think that professor paradoxes pocket watch is kind of like a Harry Potter wand where it just helps him focus his abilities.
I interpret as Eon and Paradox having the same power dead even but the Chrono navigator gives a boost in power to give it an edge against Eon
My theory is that since the ditto clones can feel each other's pain, maybe they also share the same mind.
Wouldn’t they have just known that Animo had the missing clone right from the start in his debut episode then?
@@Skitations well, that's the writers' fault then for not thinking about that.
@Skitations it must be a feature only the original Ditto has. The one Animo kidnapped may be a clone.
@@SecretMagician well, according to the crew, it was the main ditto.
So, going through the scenes we got of the treasure hunt, here's what I imagine Ben would use:
1st clue: Diamondhead, as Ben needed to use a form that could reach the top of the light post and could make those scratches.
@@luigi2point085In all honesty, I think Ben would only go Ghostfreak because he knows that everything is at stake here.
@@ultimatex1334 Yeah, putting fears aside would be the right choice anyway.
I mean, probably he asked azmuth to take z'scayr's DNA out of the Omnitrix by this point
@pedroherrera8762 honestly, it's probably a new thing that even azmuth didn't think of, so seeing it would have probably spark new safe guards for the future omnitrix! I think that'd be a neat idea
26:16 A neat little detail is that Pakmar has own little stairs
I think why Eon can cross the time periods and not everyone else is likely when he messed with the two's Omntitrixes, and causing the temporal mental swap, he sort of "detached" himself from the timeline in a sense. Think of it like editing a video. Everything's record and set in place. And Eon as an edited effect, which can be placed wherever, whenever. It's hard to explain, but that's my headcanon.
33:50 don’t know if this counts but Kevin’s rooters amalgam form actually has artiguana dna implemented
How does a copy have memories of the past?
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265It has been said that the universe is a near perfect copy, including data in the brain, whatever effect was put on 11 yr. old Gwen must have been copied too. This episode is weird with the temporal memories, as the timeline gets affected, Gwen's memories do too and the copy gets her memories.( That's the best I can come up with because this doesn't make a lot of sense to me either)
Paradox’s Watch was probably an anker for his real power, kinda like how NRG’s suit contains his power
Judd Nelson is also known for voicing Hot Rod/Rodimus in The Transformers: The Movie and reprised his role in Transformers: Animated, which was also worked on by Derrick J. Wyatt.
Now, light our darkest hour!
YOU'VE GOT THE TOUCH!
Hot Rod only got like, a single scene in Animated, but making him an archer was a neat idea.
@@leithaziz2716 Yes! I would like to see more Transformers using a bow.
Haven’t seen Legend of Ruby Sunday yet but that was only a problem in Father’s Day
4:35 I agree.
Breakdown alert!!! Just in time for my lunch break!! :D
3:53 rare shot of Omniverse XLR8 with his visor down. Wish he used it more in the show since he RARELY uses it, both in the past & present.
You can have a map in your head, but let's be honest, a GPS is a lot easier to handle than to having to recall every step of a path yourself! 12:50
Also, with the time travel dialogue at the end with Gwen, they’re technically two different people, yes they’re physically the same person just different ages, but personally wise, they are fully different people
Breakdown time! This is also my favorite episode. And as usual, good morning everyone.
Good morning and agree the Ion eps are really good.
Morning
Morning.
Morning
Good morning
26:47 Its like how its happened with no watch ben , omnitrix allows that to happen . Gives the right alien and they do know how to use it .
Yea i think even the transformation is clearly the omnitrix doing it for ben since this ben wouldnt know how
I see it as that if paradox is the map he knows where to go but he needs a compass to know which direction to go.
0:14 Dude this is genuinely one of your best looks hairstyle-wise.
I have to be honest, I always thought the chrono navigator was something Paradox made after just getting learning how to travel through time, but the navigator made it easier to do thing more precisely/to an exact point.
38:06 Ben knows how to use clockwork
The past Ben in the present Ben has the watch with the data dump
The present Ben in past Ben doesn’t need the data dump because he know how clockwork functions
We know young Ben had Arcticguana because he was part of the 12 year old Kevin mutation. More specifically, the blue back fins part.
13:10 "such a good effect for the teleporting" while the cat, whose name I forgot, just spawns in
The cat is either Bruce or Mochi
@@kermitgotthesickkicks4265 alr thx
Considering this is one of Kuro's favourite episodes, in the 5YL Comics, is this where he got that inspiration for Clockwork to sue the time rapture caused by Divinity?
I mean, young clockwork is being used by 16 year old ben who would know how to use clockwork so that point doesn't make sense
It’s also something Ben knew Clockwork can do as he used it when fighting Carl
"nobody would think that the end of the treasure hunt is back at the start"
Literally anyone would think that, it's the 1234 password of treasure hunts, hide the treasure literally anywhere else and they'll have no idea no matter how hard they try to cheese it
22:14
Love that animation of 11yo Ben in 16yo Ben's body freaking out over Gwevin. XD
Also the thing about Rook looking like a DCAU character was funny as hell.
well pakmar had it rough. being stranded on a planet with a poisonous atmosphere, having to train tiny aliens to help fix his spaceship failing and surviving only because the aliens carried him to their onion hive and fused him with a plant so he could breathe oxygen
I feel like this references something, but I don't know.
@@mitchfletcher2386 the bad ending of pikmin 1.
Ben using diamonhead is a great detail to show his experience since it has been established by Ben 10000 that diamonds resist the effect of time.
Come to think of it, young Ben using XLR8 is a good way to show inexperience too because speed can easily be countered by time manipulation.
Would have been cool seeing Eon counter Xlr8 and Diamondhead counter Eon
37:56 Young Ben is using the new omnitrix which has the data dump feature.
"Ben Again" is the first Omniverse episode I remember catching on TV while I was at my Aunt's house and while I was confused at why the show looked so different from the UAF era, it was still a fun time.
35:35 Considering the fact that they can literally see the otherside of the temporal portal it implies at least photons (light) can travel through it, so Eon's lasers who at least following the logic of real lasers which are also made from a concentraded beam of photons would have no problem doing so
The problem with organic life travelling through the portal is probably something aking to it ages way faster, and since light doesn't age it would have no problem with this
This episode actually means a lot to me, saw it when it aired originally when I was sick and puking badly, around that time I got so dehydrated I almost died and this episode made me really happy in a bad time
18:33 Mr. Smoothy is immortal. Or plot twist it’s a dead Contimelia 💀
The contumelia have been dead for countless years at that point they wouldn’t have any trace left
My name is Ben Tennyson, remember it!
Saw the thumbnail and new this was gonna be a fun one.
Love this episode.
34:05 yo the skull helmet looks hella dope definitely looks the best and still reminiscent of both race against time and UAF, being skull-like
9:25 A nice moment to show that Ben has changed, but gets undercut by the fact that his character is written so inconsistently.
26:27 There should’ve at least been a scene where he cycling through aliens that he doesn’t have and he’s asking is this Armarillo is this Armarillo
36:15 it still is the same time of day in 16 year old Ben’s present
The sky is darker because of Eon tried to use the chrono-navigator to kill the timelines, the attempt to destroy the timelines is literally creating that lightning storm u were praising the effects of
30:15
With numerous instances of this kinds thing happening...I Believe it can just turn intangible.
I can't believe it took me this long to realize that Paradox's cane has an eye.
I like to think Ben used Snare-oh to get the clue into the nuclear reactor since Thep Khufans have been shown to be immune to the effects of dangerous substances like corrodium
37:56
But young Ben is currently in teen Ben's body with the new Omnitrix, so he should have the data dump.
6:46 About that in Dittos debut episode after Ben first used him when he timed out he was split into two dittos so ditto didn't necessarily need to merge back together for Ben to change back
Unless one of them was miles away
35:01 eon logic "if i can't rule it, nobody can!"
Either way, cracks me up
2:59 Dope that a member if the Brat Pack voiced Eon.
Yeah but what about NRG? Like unless Gwen gives some description
@@Eric6761 In the words of Shrek: "Good question."
I assume it's like the Four Arms thing and he just guessed his way to find him.
