I kinda like that the Incurseans aren't defeated but instead remain a looming threat. Makes them feel more dangerous than the usual villains of the week. Furthermore, making big moves against the Incurseans is probably something that only the Magistrata can authorise.
Not to say that I wouldn't have liked for that to happen because I prefer more serialized shows it makes the plot flow better because if they make even a portion of it off it upsets the entire season
The Plumbers are also Galactic police, while the Incursean Empire is a political entity. I imagine that "last year's borders" were confirmed by treaties and so the Incursean empire gave up on the expansion for the time being under Attea leadership and nobody can really say no to this, since it would involve more combat to force a new treaty.
5:45 is obvious that the reason the purple light dissapear along with the hologram is because the ship itself was shutting down, not because the hologram is the source of the light, probably thats what the hologram was warning in the first place.
The reason Bullfrag wears sunglasses was to hide the green eyes all of Ben's aliens have. Another hint that he was Ben in disguise. He still keeps the sunglasses afterwards because they look cool, but the lenses are changed to green. If i had to call him something else i would have chosen something simple like "Leapfrog"
I love this arc bc Ben doesn't win and it shows that even someone as overpowered as Ben isn't completely invincible. The frogs outplayed the earth using nothing but strategy which made the stakes actually matter, and even when the earth is saved it's not because of Ben but because attea planned it that way
@@RineYFD it was actually said in a pop-up trivia in the original show that Ben would go with a lot of girls before finally deciding to settle with Kai
The fact that Princess Attea, leader of the incursion empire, one of the only villains in the entire show to fully completely beat Ben, also cannonically has a huge unhealthy crush on him is so funny to me. And the fact that she is voiced by Tara Strong, the original voice of Ben 10, is just a huge cherry on top.

I don't really like Bullfrag, but most of my appreciation of him comes from this episode. It was so creative. Ever since when I'm rewatching Omniverse, I get excited for this part of story.
Same. But at the same time i was hoping it was Ben, I was feeling so let down that Max agreed to banish Ben like that. Love how the 2 parter start with the randomizer wondering why it even has that feature to life form lock makes complete sense why the omnitrix would have that
I believe the Randomizer is to have the user experience more aliens to be more diverse in the aliens they know and can change into. Ben could easily use this as a form of training for all the aliens he has and can be used to make him more unpredictable because even he wouldn't know who he changed into.
I see randomizer is a F it we ball feature for when you’re bored that can help you think of new alien switching combos for when you’re actually in control and fighting seriously
34:05 And here we have Ben casually killing an entire ship of Incursions directly, we've had Ben let people get killed, but this is directly killing them.
He did spend an extended period of time as him, so there is likely some bleed over. iirc, that was the point of the time out in the original series, to prevent the user from having their dna scrambled. One would hope that since the Omniverse Omnitrix is the "perfected" version, that's less of an issue. Maybe some lingering feelings/mannerisms.
Also he had to use that accent for a bit too long. Anyone who does a single funny voice with certain people too long is gonna stick with you when talking to them... The code switch gets stuck
@@FizzieWebb I mean I think that also happened when he got his transformations controlled by Luna, Attea, and Nancy. Constantly changing from Rath, Bullfrag, and Four Arms and when he turned back to normal, he was screaming like Rath. Probably another case of messing with the Omnitrix can lead to some hilarious results.

It always felt strange that Ben rarely ever used the Omnitrix to disguise himself and infiltrate or investigate. When he does, it results in a really good storyline
I never thought aetta and ben would become a actaully relationship but it does add a interesting dynamic that i admittedly kinda like flirting enemies but not actually love interests. Also bullfrag is a chad he could fool me with that sweet talk
I don't like that they kind of went out of their way to get rid of the development that a lot of these characters have in the classic series of either them being redeemed or finding out more of their background only for you to get to this series and then just tell you now they're evil for evil sake or they're trying to get with Ben even though they've shown no interest in him prior
Bullfrag is a fire alien glad they introduced him to Ben's roster of aliens, i wish he was used more in the show though after his debut he could have become a memorable alien easily with more screentime just like feedback.
While I didn't get it from the first scene, I do remember going "Bullfrag? that sounds like a name Ben would use for 1 of his aliens... then again, it's not the first time I've had that thought" I think I remember figuring it out before the reveal, (specifically when Gwen said to rescue Grandpa first, and Ben agreed) but that's also essentially right before the reveal so... not sure how much that counts
Gotta tell ya, I really was fooled by Ben's Bullfrag act. Honestly, I thought he was just some rebellious Incursean. Also, episodes like this proves why OV always have the best two-parters.
Hmmm. Ok.... how do I use this? There's no on switch. ... *throws into power generator* Well, that seems to have done... something! Time to get outta here!
Yo this episode made me realize, how tf did Ben live for a month without food or water when he was drifting through space? Did Azmuth pick him up instantly? Or.
He wasn't drifting the whole month. Azmuth must've gotten to him not long after he was banished. Then the plot of the Omniverse 2 Video Game happens, which is essentially Ben going undercover.
@TheInkTank That's what I also thought for the longest time. I think he was rescued by Azmuth a few hours after being launched from space, and since then, he's ingrained himself in the Incursean army as Bullfrag since learning their plans. At least, that's my guess for how.
The advantages of having a three-wheeled car is that the back wheel is direct drive, meaning that it has a better throttle response. So yes, there are some advantages to a three-wheeled car. The most famous being the Slingshot and the X-Bow.
It can also be used to register a car as road legal for production. Classifying it as a motorcycle rather then a car for road safety and other requirements.
I love the twist with Bullfrag. Not only that I love the design and think it perfectly shows the peak species idea of the aliens. Probably just as good as with Kicknhawk. Equally Ben using his alien to flirt with an enemy is a cute touch showing a new idea to an alien that makes sense.
10:17 this Cars design kinda looks like Hot Rod from Transformers. Derrick just loves hamming in those Transformers References and I for one am all for it
Couple of things from this episode. First, the gang's escape vehicle is colored like Rodimus Prime/Hot Rod, and like every other Transformer reference vehicle, gets obliterated. Second, I like to think that Gwen and Max were able to tell since they were so close to him, they could see his green eyes through the shades. It would add a nice bit of continuity for Gwen to continue to recognize Ben's transformations through the green eyes as she's done on multiple occasions before.
Incurseans: We have banned you from the Planet, we have Way Bads prepared to destroy your world, you think you'd win? Ben, dialing in Bullfrag: Nah, I'd Frag
This episode is so cool I’m glad u pointed out the intricacies of the that chase scene is was so energetic I love it. It’s really interesting to see how the crew handles hiding out and world invasion with all the stress. Even though we don’t see the time pass it still feels like it’s been a long time in this rebellion with how all the characters interact with each other. Bullfrag and the life form lock are great additions to the Omnitrix giving it another unique ability and showing how it can be used for more that just combat. I also love that Gwen almost immediately finds out it’s Ben even without being together for a while she still knows him the best. The Waybig fight and laser scene are so hype especially that drop kick🔥. I think I’d call my incurasean form Toadmander
There was something so sweet about the hug Gwen gives Ben when he de-transforms. And the comments she made until that moment about how "Ben would have loved this" or "that's what Ben would do". She really missed her cousin and this just shows, once again, the long way they have come since Classic.
I don't know why but i was able to figure it out almost immediately when I was a kid. The fact that the character appeared out of nowhere made it clear to me that it was Ben and he's so much more jacked than the other frogs.
The twist caught me off guard at first because 1. Most new aliens are debuted on screen with some exceptions but 2. Bullfrag was wearing the entire incursean outfit covering any signs of the Omnitrix of Ben's usual alien color scheme and 3. Ben doesn't become species of Aliens he's encountered as antagonists such as the Anur Aliens and Buzzshock often so I never would have thought he would become an incursean. I guess all his Ben mannerisms went over my head along with the obvious smoothie one.
Heres my random headcanon thought: one of the reasons Ben isn't allowed Master Control and the purpose of the timeout function is so that alien DNA doesn't overwhelm Ben's own DNA. So, when Ben says, "Don't blame me, it's this DNA," I kinda believe him. Hes been using Incursion DNA for a month, so his body is probably used to Incursion Hormones that are overwriting his own human ones. So, in that moment at least, Ben is probably genuinely attracted to Attta.
@Robin0928 We could see that in the original series where Ben meets Ben 10,000 as his aliens was acting pretty mean and agressive but when he turned back to his regular self he acting like his regular self and told his younger self that spending time with him made him appreciate being his regular self and he even told him 'believe me you are going to appreciate being ben'.
Seeing the old Gwen desing in the storyboards, makes me wonder if the original plan was maybe doing something like Adventure Time, where Princess Bubblegum and Marceline change outfits constantly
I love how you can see how much Ben improved since Destroy All Aliens because in that movie he got his ass handed by the Evil Way Big (albeit Retailator didn't help) but here hands the Way Bad her ass in a silver platter and only struggles once multiple get involved. Also nice to see Bullfrag debut episode being so well done cause while he has cool scenes this is it for his relevance.
Personally, I'd name an Incursean transformation "WarToad". It's a combo of obviously War and Toad, given how they're frogs that conquer planets, but it's also doubly a pun on Wart, which frogs usually have.
@calvincoolidge5795 he said this a while ago, and I don't know if he's still sticking to it, but he said he's only reviewing the film and The Season 5 specials.
Kinda wish Kevin recovered that car even if he doesn't use it but just has it. Milleous' saying "Attention Earth nobodies" reminds me of Professor Farmsworth in Futurama saying "Good news everyone." I really like how Kevin & Rook are just bros. Ben got that Frog Rizz. Argit's hero "redemption" arc begins. I didn't catch it at first but then i thought about it for a minute & realized "Wait a minute, Bullfrag is Ben isn't he?" Also something that never comes up again, Ben can disguise the Omnitrix in alien form. Bullfrag is Froggy Balboa or Rocky Bullfrogoa
These 2 episodes were the War of the Worlds for Omniverse. Attea could have more easily persuaded Ben to join her, if she just said, he could come as he is. Clearly, he has a weird, maybe twisted liking for her too. (Though naturally, of course she'd want Bullfrag to be on, 24/7.) And gotta love the Way Bad's expression at 32:52 after being shot by Argit. Probably the animator's favourite one for design/animation. (And a fan favourite for a reason, from all the Way Bads.)
I have to imagine Bullfrag is one of those transformation that changes Ben’s personality when in that form, if he tried to smooth talk Attea like that in Human form there’s no way he’d be that good
Random idea for a drawing vid: Ben's kids with his other love interests, like what a daughter with Julie would look like, what a son with Attlea would be like, etc.
Technically, later in the show, the first Alien Force game is also canonized because of Gorvan, the fat Tetramand. Everyone acts as if they already know who he is when he never made an on-screen appearance in any show beforehand.
So when the mutant tokustar takes the head off of the statue of liberty, there's a sound of stone breaking/crumbling and it messes with my head because the starure of liberty is made of COPPER
27:58 He's not talking about his Incursianie DNA.....He's talking about the irresistible urge for a Tennison to rizz up an alien, I know for a fact that Grandpa Max was smiling with pride watching this
23:47 I could get someone not picking up on the Bullfrag being Ben thing from the Argit line. Argit's not the most famous, but considering all the grief he's caused, I figure his name would be decently known.
I just realized that Ben rizzing up Attea might have actually planted the seed of her double crossing her dad since he specifically hinted at her specifically disobeying him. I seriously doubt Ben would have thought to do that on purpose, but it's still funny to consider.
The Omniverse 2 Game itself might not be good (still wish we had a solid Ben 10 Video Game) but you gotta give them credit for actually expanding on what Ben was doing during the months after the Incursion invasion.
Considering how long he was an incursean, he probably had more than enough time to fully be influenced by the biology of the species. He is a teenaged male, with peak DNA, and she is the princess and implied to be very attractive for the species. And of course, add the Tennyson Rizz to the mix, and yeah. Bullfrag's flirting is pretty believable.
Tbf, the Bullfrag twist probably works because OV often introduces a lot of random wacky side characters that may or may not ever be used again. I mean Rad was introduced this season, so someone like Bullfrag is believable.
Yo actually, ages ago when I saw that screenshot with Bullfrag and the omnitrix symbol there, I assumed the twist was that he was a plumber, showing a badge lmao
My only problem with this episode was the fact Ben could have just used the Omnitrix to repair any genetic damage done to the Way Bads, but instead just left them mutated and banished to the Null Void, when it wasn’t really their fault. It would have been nice to see some normal To’kustars
I agree. Considering how Phil brings it up, I think OV should have done an episode on how dumping creatures in the null void instead of curing or securing them only makes it more dangerous.
@@Babybigchillthey did actually during the Reuters Ark but at the end of the day it would be very hard to fix their genetic damage when it's not registered as damaged because they were made to be that from birth
22:33 or… you know, she can sense Ben’s mana? She’s an expert at tracking Ben’s mana after all, so it would make sense if she can just instantly recognize him regardless of his shape purely off of his mana
23:21 He could have been about to say that he was ben, because he just got hit on the head and had a mild concussion. Then he changed his mind as he woke up.
10:40 I almost spilled the smoothie from my mouth cause he said that lol I think the statues are quite different than irl ones... cause the Statue of Liberty is also made of stone for some reason lol
On 3-Wheeled Cars, just look up this one Black & White video from the 30's about how Differential Gears work. The short answer is that using only one rear driving wheel makes turning easier and less complicated, which is actually ideal if you're in a city. NEVER USE ONLY ONE WHEEL FOR STEERING THOUGH! THE RELIANT ROBIN WAS NOT RELIABLE AT ALL!
As a kid, the twist blew me away and I loved it. This episode still stands as one of my all time favorite episodes in all of Ben 10 as it just hit all the right spots. Two things of note, along with my name for Bullfrag: 1. The moment I saw the car here in the breakdown, I realized that it's a nod to Transformers. Its paint scheme is meant to look like Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime 2. If I recall correctly, that Argit moment at the end marks the turning point in his story where he starts being less of a fink. He stumbled into being a hero and then goes "Oh yeah, I like the praise from this" and mostly cleans up his act, even with a future version of him becoming President of Earth with his popularity started here 3. If I had the Omnitrix and unlocked the Incursion DNA sample, I would name him Croaker, as its surprisingly hard to make certain puns with names but it also just feels like a strong one. If not that and I could think of better, I'd want something using Polliwog XD
Other commenters said this but I love the idea that Attea was able to figure out Ben was Bullfrag pretty much right away but was just pretending to ignore this fact and was subtly putting him in better positions for his revolution. It does make sense as she did give Ben the first step to his lead, and would probably monitor and help out her key to the promotion she wants. So while Ben was trying to subtly join the war and figure out a big revolution plan, Attea was also subtly keeping an eye on him, making sure his plan is working, but also not doing so much as to alert Ben to her plan to stop her.
Attea was my favorite of the love interests, I mean it was obvious it'd never be her but she was still my favorite. Would make a fine episode if there was some interaction with an alternate timeline of some Evil Ben ending up with her to become Galactic Dictator, they seem like they'd be a fun couple to watch interact with the canon crew.

I imagine that "last year's borders" were confirmed by treaties and so the Incursean empire gave up on the expansion for the time being under Attea leadership and nobody can really say no to this, since it would involve more combat to force a new treaty.

The reason Bullfrag wears sunglasses was to hide the green eyes all of Ben's aliens have. Another hint that he was Ben in disguise. He still keeps the sunglasses afterwards because they look cool, but the lenses are changed to green.

I love this arc bc Ben doesn't win and it shows that even someone as overpowered as Ben isn't completely invincible. The frogs outplayed the earth using nothing but strategy which made the stakes actually matter, and even when the earth is saved it's not because of Ben but because attea planned it that way

I believe the Randomizer is to have the user experience more aliens to be more diverse in the aliens they know and can change into.
Ben could easily use this as a form of training for all the aliens he has and can be used to make him more unpredictable because even he wouldn't know who he changed into.

The fact that Bullfrag's DNA messes with Ben fits so well. Especially since it happened with Big Chill

I never thought aetta and ben would become a actaully relationship but it does add a interesting dynamic that i admittedly kinda like flirting enemies but not actually love interests.
Also bullfrag is a chad he could fool me with that sweet talk
Well that would have worked or even him with charmcaster when they were kind of redeeming her most Heroes have at least one evil person in their group
I don't like that they kind of went out of their way to get rid of the development that a lot of these characters have in the classic series of either them being redeemed or finding out more of their background only for you to get to this series and then just tell you now they're evil for evil sake or they're trying to get with Ben even though they've shown no interest in him prior
34:07 And people say Ben doesn't kill his enemies. He killed everyone on that ship, excluding Milleous, but he didn't know that initially.
In self-defense tho. Shame that doesn't feel remorseful after.

It's stated in the show that Azmuth reached a few hours later.

The "blame this DNA" Joke could also be a Joke about Grandpa Max, who had Alien Partners before. Ben does have 25% of his DNA.
When kuro forgot about Argit betraying them, I fkn died 😂😂😂
I mean hey if you get to go to an alien planet and it had food wouldn’t you want to try it
Heres my random headcanon thought: one of the reasons Ben isn't allowed Master Control and the purpose of the timeout function is so that alien DNA doesn't overwhelm Ben's own DNA.
The Bullfrag twist almost gotten me the first time if it wasn't for him asking blukic for a smoothie, that immediatly gave it away.

(Though naturally, of course she'd want Bullfrag to be on, 24/7.)
And gotta love the Way Bad's expression at 32:52 after being shot by Argit. Probably the animator's favourite one for design/animation. (And a fan favourite for a reason, from all the Way Bads.)
So attea's plan was crazy and brilliant she really deserves S Trier villain status

Damn it would’ve been cool to see Bullfrag more often over having Humongousaur or Four Arms a dozen times
I wonder if Grandpa Max took it some kind of way when Ben said flirting with alien girls is in his dna-
The sunglasses on bullfrag are a nice touch.
when I first watched this, I thought Attea smirking when the protags escaped meant she planned for one of them to infiltrate the protag group.
Yo actually, ages ago when I saw that screenshot with Bullfrag and the omnitrix symbol there, I assumed the twist was that he was a plumber, showing a badge lmao
AH DAMN! That's actually pretty cool!
My only problem with this episode was the fact Ben could have just used the Omnitrix to repair any genetic damage done to the Way Bads, but instead just left them mutated and banished to the Null Void, when it wasn’t really their fault.
It would have been nice to see some normal To’kustars
Technically, they aren't normal Tokustar's mutated into Way Bads, but genetically engineered mutants made by Psychobos.

THE RELIANT ROBIN WAS NOT RELIABLE AT ALL!
As a kid, the twist blew me away and I loved it. This episode still stands as one of my all time favorite episodes in all of Ben 10 as it just hit all the right spots. Two things of note, along with my name for Bullfrag:
1. The moment I saw the car here in the breakdown, I realized that it's a nod to Transformers. Its paint scheme is meant to look like Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime
2. If I recall correctly, that Argit moment at the end marks the turning point in his story where he starts being less of a fink. He stumbled into being a hero and then goes "Oh yeah, I like the praise from this" and mostly cleans up his act, even with a future version of him becoming President of Earth with his popularity started here
3. If I had the Omnitrix and unlocked the Incursion DNA sample, I would name him Croaker, as its surprisingly hard to make certain puns with names but it also just feels like a strong one. If not that and I could think of better, I'd want something using Polliwog XD
My dumb ass didn’t even realise that bullfrag was even one of the frog men💀💀💀💀
I didn't immediately think Bullfrag could be Ben because I just expected him to be a new ally.
