Stephen King wrote it. As well as the shining. Jack Nicholson played The Joker in the 1990s Batman movie, but he also played the main character in the shining film.

Here we go using times from the original video:
0:15 - The Joker wasn't supposed to be the character he was. Batman was supposed to have killed him, but they decided to keep Batman with a code of not killing anyone. In the movie, "The Joker," the main character was played by Joaquin Phoenix
0:24 - Stephen King did write the book "it" while he was battling a cocaine addiction
0:38 - "The Shining" was another book written by Stephen King that was adapted into a movie starring Jack Nicholson who also played The Joker in Tim Burton's Batman.
0:46 - The Loser's Club was the name of the group of kids in "It" that defeated Pennywise.
1:09 - In the comics, The Joker didn't have an identity outside of "The Joker" and no one knew who he was, so he was a John Doe. The Deadlights was the name of the being that was "Pennywise" in It.
1:29 - Pennywise gained his power by feeding on human fear. Children were easy to scare because of their active imagination. Red balloons were kind of a symbol of the Deadlights and one theory was that they stored the souls of the children taken by It.
1:38 - In the book, "It", The Losers Club get some indirect help from a being called The Great Turtle. Think of it like this: The Deadlights was a being created at the start of the universe that embodied malice, evil, hate, and fear. The Great Turtle was the same type of being that represented the other side of the scales.
1:44 - Mark Hamill, best known as Luke Skywalker, was the voice of The Joker in the animated Batman series as well as many other projects. Bob Kane and Bill Finger were the original creators of Batman, but Bob Kane managed to claim full rights of the character. It's an interesting story.
1:55 - "It" the movie starred Finn Wolfhard who gained fame playing in "Stranger Things"
2:06 - Heath Ledger died in a hotel room after playing The Joker in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight". Ledger was known to go to great lengths to get into character, and many think that the mental toll the role took on him played a part in his death
2:20 - The story of "It" takes place in a fictional town of Derry, Maine, where Pennywise had a hibernation cycle of 27 years.
2:38 - This is one of the most disturbing things I've ever read, honestly. In the book, there was a ritual to banish The Deadlights. The Losers Club had one female member who had a very tragic story. To make a long story short and Safe For Work, let's just say that the ritual involved the male members of The Losers Club taking turns with their female friend. The group was all in their young teenage years. Luckily, this scene was omitted in the movie.
2:55 - The first time "It" was put to screen was for a Made for TV movie that starred Tim Curry as Pennywise.
2:59 - in the comics, Joker killed the original Robin by bludgeoning him with a crowbar.
3:06 - Arkham was a fictional town in Massachusetts that was created by H.P. Lovecraft
3:09 - Caesar Romero was the actor that portrayed The Joker in Adam West's Batman TV and movie series. He was known for his iconic mustache and demanded to keep it for the shoot, even though it didn't fit with the character. The producers relented due to Romero's recognizability and star power.
3:16 - The Cask of Amontillado was a short story written by Edgar Allen Poe that involved the character Fortunado getting chained to the floor then a brick wall being built around him by an Italian nobleman named Montressor.
3:20 - The Loser's Club's female member was redheaded. Another member of The Loser's Club professed his love for her in a letter he wrote to her where he says, "Your hair is winter fire
January embers. My heart burns there, too."
3:21 - Batman was a frequent guest on "Scooby Doo Where are You" that often pitted The Scooby Gang, Batman, and Robin against Batman villains like The Joker and The Penguin.
3:28 - After taking a victim, The Deadlights would suspend his victims in the air. They would float there so he could continuously feed on their fear.
I know I probably missed one or thirty references here, but this will get you started lol!!!

The "No Killing" rule wasn't applied until way later. Comics weren't ALLOWED to show death/murder back then, which was why it was only implied that Batman's villains died. It was the comic book equivalent of villains dying off-screen in a movie. In fact, Batman regularly killed off criminals in the early days, to the point where there's a famous picture of early Batman hanging a mental patient from the Batwing in front of a full moon. You can literally put "Batman Hanging Guy From Batplane" into Google Images to see what I mean.
Joker died in the first issue because Batman knocked him off a building (hence Jack Nicholson's death in Tim Burton's Batman). He actually stayed dead for awhile before they resurrected his character. They brought Joker back because he was such an iconic character despite being in only one issue. They retconned his death, claiming that he only got paralyzed from the fall. Interesting enough, it was supposedly only after the Joker's return that they added the "No Killing" rule, making the excuse that the Joker's death and subsequent return gave Bruce nightmares, with that Bat swearing that he would never let himself go that far ever again.

Beep Beep also came from the "it" book. it was an in joke about richie, who became a comedian. comedians used to use horns to tell when the joke was finished. so beep beep meant the joke was over. it was also because he was a motormouth, like the roadrunner. pennywise uses it against him. "Beep Beep richie, they ALL float down here"
and ofcourse the deadlights paralyzes people. like a deer in headlights.

"Jack Nicholson played you just fine" - Jack Nicholson was The Joker in the 80's Tim Burton movie
"Jared Leto came out..." - Jared Leto played the Joker in Suicide Squad and the HBO released of Justice League

"You couldn't even escape Cesar Romero's moustache" - Cesar Romera played the Joker in the 60's Batman TV series. He's also known for never shaving his moustache, so the clown make-up was painted over his moustache whenever he played the part
"So fast they call you Tim Scurry" - Tim Curry played Pennywise in a TV adaptation of "It"

Batman has been credited as "Created by Bob Kane" since the 1930s but it came out eventually that the writer he hired, Bill Finger, actually created the character. Bob Kane had an idea and made all the profits, but Bill Finger was the one who created the character, designed him, and created his background. This could have been a civil arrangement but Bob Kane spent his life taking all the royalties and all the credit, and Bill Finger (who was a much more accomplished but socially diminutive and isolated) went without credit for his whole life. Eventually the mainstream comics community built up enough pressure for DC to formally recognize Finger in print - somewhat recently in 2015... now the comics say "Created by Bob Kane with Bill Finger."

Stephen King is now quite open about his days as a cocaine addict. And he did write both "It" and "The Shining."
"The Joker" starring Joaquin Phoenix as the titular supervillain was a pretty tragic story. It was an origin, and let's just say that too much trauma in too short a time can turn a normal guy into a psychotic clown.
Batmnan -- and the Joker -- were created for the most part by a writer named Bill Finger. The artist, Bob Kane, managed to scam ownership of the character out from under Finger and for close to 100 years, all credit on Batman was "created by Bob Kane" without a hint that Bill Finger ever existed. Finally, after a long, long court battle, Athena Finger, Bill's grand-daughter won a court case and now, forevermore Bill Finger gets mentioned in the credits.
And yes, the climax of "It" includes a sex scene where a 13 year old girl runs a train with five similarly aged boys.

9:10 Yeah, it's like that...In the book, the main group of kids get lost in the sewers...and in order to gain the "Courage" to keep going, they all have sex...The scene never made it into any of the movies of course, and Stephen King himself said that he doesn't even remember writing it he was so high on coke...

  • @dusttodust915
    @dusttodust915 Рік тому

pennywise isn't a troll, he's a alien that eats kids. From what I've been able to gather is that he eats kids so that he can lure them to his layer and they're the only ones that can perceive his existence and remain basically invisible and completely silent to adults. But if he started hunting and luring adults then they'd be able to perceive him. Don't worry for the longest time up to the remake I thought he was a demon.

Joaquin Phoenix played Joker in the Joker movie.
    Stephen King wrote IT
Stephen King wrote The Shinning (the movie inspired by the book)
99 Red Ballons is a pop song from the 70s, 80s
Dance with the Devil in the Pale Moonlight (famous quote by Jack Nicholson Joker in Batmab 1989)
Stephen King had the kids after they defeated Pennywise, they needed to become adults so the girl had $e× with all the boys in the book. And yes they were underage.

Stephen King did Write "IT" and the "Shining" and Pennywise mentions a ton of other names at the end of his last turn that im pretty sure theyre all also Stephen King Books, and the part about Between the lines is because King did drugs while writing....which makes sense if you think about all the scary stuff hes come up with, oh and yes there was a a Gang Bang with too much "13" in it in the book, the kids are all terrified and trapped because their fear makes the Clown Stronger so theyd all die if they dont calm down, or something along those lines, so basically the only girl in the group let the all the boys take turns with her so they could calm down and make it out alive.....yeah King was probably on something when he wrote that.

It's possibly a good idea to do a quick review of the characters so that you have a basic frame if reference. But ERB puts in so many details and bits of trivia, legend, and lore, that it's impossible to catch everything.
This particular battle is filled with so many references because both characters have a long history in popular culture and different mediums.

I'm fine either way, but I think you would enjoy some of these rap battles more if you knew more of the references. The section at 8:56 if you read the book, IT does have that, it is alluded to in the movie and the tv movie.

    • @YTsupportsZionaziGenocide
      @YTsupportsZionaziGenocide Рік тому +1

the book also explains the context of why it happened... as the were leaving the sewers they were already forgetting IT and why they went down there, so they attempted to form a bond that couldn't be broken by sex, there were 7 of them, and beverly was the only female, they were all eleven or twelve in the book... she was also the one who had the idea and initiated it, the other characters were reluctant.
most breakdowns/reactions don't actually cover the context of the "gangbang" bar, even the ones who say they've read the book. in the original made for tv movie they each cut their hand and made a blood pact instead; for the same reason.

The only thing that they really missed touching base on in this rap is The Joker's massive body count, he has the largest death toll out of any DC villain, in fact, he has the largest death toll out of all the DC villains put together.
Tallied so far: 671+ ("+" stands for many unaccounted victims)
This also doesn't account for the DC universe in which Joker actually managed to kill Batman and then destroy the universe as a whole.
