The next two directly reference things that happened in the actual debate. But also keep in mind that ERB did not actually know what would happen later on. I also recommend watching them in chronological order. This one first, then Trump vs Hillary, then Trump vs Biden.

Obviously Romney was a horrid candidate, but Obama was very beatable in 2012 compared to previous Democrat incumbents and Mitt was just not the right person to nominate. He was too milquetoast. And that's what allowed the next Republican to take off like wildfire, by being just as bigoted as Romney was behind the scenes but not shy from his hatred in public and not flopping around trying to justify backtracking.

For example, the air quotes around 'dropping unemployment below 8%' is a bar because during the Obama presidency they decided to stop counting people who 'could work, but not actually looking'. Only when they those people were removed from the pool did unemployment appear to be under 8%. All of Obama's insults were about his skin color, wealth, religion, dress style. Nothing against any of Romney's accomplishments.

The mentioning of wives in the video is an older belief in the Mormon faith(Mitt Romney is a Mormon) that allowed to have multiple Wives in the early years of the Mormon faith(founded in 1830 in USA). A little back story about the faith, In about 1843 the founder of Mormonism(Joseph Smith) allowed polygamy. In 1882 The united states passed an anti-polygamy act, at the time Utah was not part of the union so the Mormon faith didn't have to abide (unless the other members in the Mormon faith lived in the states that were part of the union. In 1896 Utah became part of the Union so officially the Mormon excommunicated Polygamists by the 1900's. I know of friends and their families and none of them practice polygamy, but that doesn't mean that other people of the Mormon faith and out of that faith don't still practice's. I knew a lot of stuff in the Mormon religion by what I was told by my friends and had to do a research paper on the religion too. It is pretty crazy stuff. IMO.

No, Mitt is Mormon (as am I). Way back when, when it wasn't illegal, we practiced polygamy. Once it was made illegal, we stopped the practice. It was a way to increase the membership quickly, but there were several catches. First, the man's wife had to allow it. Second, he had to be able to afford to have more than one wife. Anyone practicing polygamy now is not Mormon. Mormon is a nickname, not the name of my religion. Great reaction. We found out later that Mitt is a Rino. He's been such a disappointment. Never vote for someone because of their religion.
