    Literally was trying to make a boat in KSP after my first landing on Eve ended up in the middle of the ocean in the dark. I wanted to make a boat to send to them to get to land and then, go from there or something. This is like way over what I would've come up with though XD

  • @petersmythe6462
    @petersmythe6462 6 років тому +3

    Nice. Of course the really cool thing is if you could make an electric seaplane. I've made capable electric WWII-style fighters that can match real performance or close using FAR (better aero + automatic AOA-sensitivity for RPM regulation without crazy micromanagement of the prop angles), but I've not gotten anything electrical to take off from the ocean. It might work better with an electric helicopter, but KSP helicopters have very severe adverse reactions to horizontal movement, and tilt-rotors are a bit of a complicated mess to fly.

  • @DanialRasha
    @DanialRasha 6 років тому +6

    I bet that if you gave the motor enough reaction wheels to make it spin faster that thing could fly, making it a stock electric airplane with all terrain landing capability

    • @MGSLurmey
      @MGSLurmey 5 років тому

      May as well just use...a stock prop plane? Just build a Cessna 172 Seaplane and fly that around on other planets. :P

  • @amyschreiner4504
    @amyschreiner4504 5 років тому

    I have to say,I have never seen an airboat before KSP. Its a genius idea,and makes sense since the kerbals would probably think this would work on anything,even if it was only tested on Kerbin.
    The video was also great, as always!

    • @SoI_Badguy

    • @sandercohen5543
      @sandercohen5543 6 років тому

      Speedbuilds are pretty pointless tho, as it’s incredibly simple to import .craft files, as long as the author links them.

    • @sandercohen5543
      @sandercohen5543 6 років тому

      Sprocket Creations If not to inform the viewer on how to build the craft, and theres no commentary, as is customary in a traditional speedbuild, then what exactly is the point? Do you get some strange sense of satisfaction from watching sped up footage of predetermined clicking?
