Nice day all around. people need to do like you said, "Go out and try it" and not some easy local club thing, go to a Match where you really have to discipline yourself and do your absolute best.- Dave
Congratulations on third place medal. That’s tough competition. I’ve competed with one of those guys on the FTR USA team. He’s a great shooter. It appears that the TR scores are right there with F Open. You guys need to tighten up. Lol
Lmao,, “the primer pusher”. Did you make them all hide behind the building while exchanging the “stuff”. Funny stuff. Man that’s friggin some competition if you only drop 4 and take 3rd. Congratulations team
Looks like y'all did a good job coaching Erik. I do have to admit I was looking at the results...just to see how you shot and it took a couple looks and head scratches before I remembered you didn't shoot the Midrange. D"OH!, that explains why you weren't shooting the Team Match, LOL
I'm playing a new game. Every time Erik says "O.K." you have to drink. If I watch his next video I'll have to get another six pack. J/K Erik, love your videos. You keep posting, I'll keep watching.
Well done champ 👍. Shooting against the best F-Class shooters in the United States 🇺🇸 sure is a hard game that’s for sure . One or two bad shots is all it takes to fall out of the top 3 positions .
As a state Jr High power coach, the FIRST thing I emphasize to new juniors is to ALWAYS ensure the ECI is in and the muzzle remains pointed downrange. Once this is engrained, the actual shooting can be taught. The adage "safety first" definitely applies to these types of matches. Wanna get a range officer on your bad side..."forget" your ECI more than once and/or sweep the line without one in your rifle. Trust me, they'll go out of their way to watch your firing point a little closer. Especially at Camp Perry during the National Matches. Also, people need to realize that when he says "MOA", the "X" ring IS "MOA" at any given range in most cases so at 600yds, the Xring is 6". So far as dropping points, it's a little misleading. Either the 10 or X are equal in value(10pts) but at the end of the match if two teams are tied, it comes down to X count. So....you CAN shoot MORE than "MOA" and still shoot a "perfect"(clean, but not x-clean) score.
Competed with the Air Force team at Ben Avery 90-95. In 95 Ben Avery had plans to shut it down to give it to developers. At the public meeting I represented the Air Force Team and Luke AFB. Seated next to me was the representative from Ruger Arms. Range being still open means we succeeded in keeping it open. F-Class the next generation! I wonder what's next?
Ive always wanted to do F class! Have you done a video on your rest? I've done a bunch of shooting at 500 but just use a normal bipod, would love to try out a fancy rest like that for fine adjustments!
It is amazing the accuracy attained in 2020. I can't believe it can improve much more in the next 20 years. What possible advancement has not been invented already ?
Although it won’t really help the accuracy of a firearm there is a new advancement called balanced recoil systems that greatly reduce the felt recoil of a firearm thus giving you better and faster follow up shots
So I'm just a greenhorn at long distance shooting. Is that one MOA (you spoke of the winners) at 600 yards a 6 inch circle or seriously 1 inch? Thanks for your great videos and instruction.
Okay, first time I have watched a match like this. I am assuming that the flat piece on top of the rifle barrel is a heat shield of some kind to prevent heat waves from obscuring sighting through the scope?
Hey Erik, I'm new to Long Range and bought Bushnell Nitro. Really disappointed with it and need some suggestions to buy the best possible scope in the market at around $4000 for F Class shooting. There are so many options available I'm really confused and don't want to waste more money.
It's called 'Creedmoor'. They start at the last shot for each team or person who tied and whoever shot the first X wins. If they both shot an X on their last shot then it would be the next X and so on.
Do you notice there is a variance of hold due to direction of shooting? A vertical hold off on east to west and horizontal hold depending on how much north to south? The science says that there should be less drop facing due east and more drop facing due west. Due to coriolis there should be more drift to the right depending on how close you are north to south.
You need to hire a cameraman. This would help you focus better on shooting. I don’t recognize third place, I expect more from you and your team. Support from Bosnia! 🙂
Do you think that you need a certain amount of talent to become a good long range shooter? Or is it a skill that is mostly built with quality range time?
You need to be smart enough to follow what the winners are doing. Other than that, it’s just range time. Some people overthink this and believe they can win purely by looking at ballistic charts and by shooting the highest BC bullet really fast. That doesn’t work. Get a consistent and accurate rifle, and Good practice takes care of the rest.
@@ErikCortina took till just now to release we got the same first name n spell the same. I have never seen another Erik that spells it the same way as me. Question bout ur rifle. With how it is in the video that set up. How much did that run you?? I really want to get into precision shooting. Also do you always reload n shoot ur own ammo? Or is there a certain brand that you will shoot thru that rig u have?
Looks like a ton of fun. That chat with F-Class John as like talking to Wilson 😂
My thoughts exactly 😂😂
more like the headless horseman of sleepy hallow.
At least with Wilson, you saw the hat and his eyes over the fence line. ROFL
I was thinking the same, I really liked the buttons on his shirt lol
The primer joke was great!! Spot on at this point
Congratulations to the winners and to all competitors.
Congratulations on your team shoot! Can't wait for your next match keep up the great videos. 👍
Great upload Eric. Loving every day since my introduction from Matt. . . Brando and Eric. Just fun times and learning.

The one guy who thumbed this down is probably just salty because he's out of primers.

These guys putting groups down at 600 that id be ecstatic with at 200. Crazy.

I like "keep em centered" as a closing line better than the previous closing line FWIW
What is on the top of the barrels? Thanks Disregard, seen it was answered already. Great video. Looks very technical.
I'm jonesing bad for a primer!!

Love ‘em, they’re like a piece of art!

I heard the first two teams chase the lands :D
Teammate s don’t use your tuner? Would have won if they had it?
I would love to try that.
Even to shoot at 600.
I need to stop watching your channel all I want to do is buy a new gun and go long range shooting 🤣🤣

Shurley Brothers low rider

1.047 in / 100yds × 600yds = 6.282 in diameter X ring.

How much are primers worth now?
Is this benchrest in the prone position?
Hi Eric can you tell me please, what make of scope's are mainly used in F-Class
NF Comp
Kahles K10-50
March 6-60
Vortex golden eagle.

There are tons of good scopes. Kahles 10-50 is what me and my team mates use. Vortex golden eagle and nightforce competition are also good options.
@@ErikCortina Thank you for narrowing down it for me.
What range distance do you shoot?
i wonder if that 1st shooter guy is from michigan cause i might know him (if he ran track in high school).
He’s from Redwing.

Erik, how do they decide the winner with equal scores, is it something like tightest group or time to shoot?
It's called 'Creedmoor'. They start at the last shot for each team or person who tied and whoever shot the first X wins. If they both shot an X on their last shot then it would be the next X and so on.

Velcro

Mirage shield. It keeps the heat waves on barrel from being seen through scope.

Primers. 😂

The rules don't allow it. Probably because they kick up a lot of dirt.
