@@SouthEastQueenslandShooters ive got a Arken sh-4j gen 2 on it right now. Yes that my plan to get lots of practice on this setup first. I did swap the stock out for the Boyd’s pro varmint stock to giving me more of a cheek rise.
Also left handed , also an nrl 22 shooter. Surprised you haven’t gone to a left hand bolt. I don’t mind right hand stuff in gassers but prefer a left bolt. Cheers from the PNW USA
when you have two distances, are you rezeroing the MOA elevation and windage of your scope? if not, do you set your parallax to the farther or closer target?
I keep my rifle zero at 50 yards and either dial the elevation for the distance or I use the reticle to hold over. And for the parallax, I usually set it somewhere in between the targets or sometimes I will adjust the parallax for each target's distance.
You are absolutely correct. It is a change I made soon after this video. If you watch my latest videos, you'll see that I'm pretty much exclusively using hold overs.
Wondering how long it takes to get that smooth, got my first match next weekend and have the distinct feeling I going to be clunky and slow remembering the regs and finding shooting positions that result in hits….. Best of luck on your next round mate.

@@SouthEastQueenslandShooters if they set up a tank trap, barrel, or barrier of some kind can you choose to shoot off hand, off the ground, or with sticks?
From one lefty to another, thank you for thos video. I didnt know if I'd be able to shoot this kind of competition left handed with a right hand gun.
Thanks for the comment. I'm glad I managed to inspire you to give the sport a go ☺️
So good mate good stuff 👍🏼

@@DerekEvan that is a great platform to start on and learn the fundamentals! What scope are you using with it?

I've tried left handed bolts and I prefer the right handed stuff. Thanks for the comment 🙏
Just bought my first left hand rifle. Going to give it a go.
@@Bunkerking2003while being able to run a right hand bolt is a valuable skill I think you’ll really enjoy the left handed bolt. 👍

Just a question since your paticular scope had .2 mil subtensions would it not be faster to just hold over instead of dialing?

Okay cool! I will check it out, I use holdovers, and I found it faster for me. But what one shooter does doesn't mean it works for someone else.
You hit all your fingers with a hammer? You look smarter than that!😂
My lovely partner takes full responsibility and credit for that
