Thank you so very much for your video. My husbad and I just purchased a Freedom Patriot van at the 2025 Tampa Rv show. This is our first time in a van. I was wondering what to do with the bedding. The zipper bedding is so very expensive around the $400.00 range. So your video is a blessing to us. Thank you and you and your husband for taking the time to share. ♥ Annette
@@annettekelley1035 Hi Anne, Congratulations on your new Patriot! It is one beautiful and luxurious van . I am glad you found the video helpful. I am about to make a new topper cover since that one has some stains from the food that we ate. Lol The Velcro still works so I will use the same method because I don’t know how to make the holes for the buttons.
My sister in law has AI24 GT and uses 3” mattress topper. She tried the 2” but still felt like it wasn’t enough cushion for her. We like our 2” topper. 🤗
I have a special pillow too. Every now and then my significant other leaves it aside, hoping , I guess, to throw it out, but I keep returning it. We have a new 24 gt. Love it
Love the recommendation for the memory foam top. I was wondering how I was going to store it and, viola, you had the answer. We also have a big boxer so this will help maintain the leather seats. Thank you! Thank you!
What a great solution. Our Airstream nineteen is due to arrive any day. I was curious how we were going to put together our bed. I love the idea of using a foam topper with a duvet like cover. Thanks for the great tip!
We are looking at a class B like this weather it be a 170 or 144 wheel base . After making beds in our last two RVs, we have come to the conclusion all you need is a very nice sleeping bag. Roll it out and rest. Simple.
Oh that’s so convenient. I wish my body is that easy. Lol I tried out abthick camping sleeping bag, a 1.5” memory foam still couldn’t sleep well. Finally use the extra 2” memory foam from home and works good so far. 🤞
THIS video was perfect and very important for us. We have been wondering how much space the bedding takes up ESPECIALLY that memory foam mattress. What and excellent solution!
I have a 2019 Interstate and the lounge doesn't exactly align with the 2 seats and the cushions are more firm than the lounge as well. We've done everything we can to create an even bed surface but had to resort to rigid foam pieces to create better alignment. This means that most of the time we leave our bed made. I have 2 pads that I lay side by side however, as you mentioned, they don't stay in place all that well because the bottom sheet moves. I'm wondering if the memory foam gives you additional support? I'm actually looking at spending the $400 for the Airstream Memory Foam mattress made for the interstate but it cannot be returned and I haven't been able to find any reviews. I'm wondering if you ever had a chance to sample theirs? 🙂
@@Shantamji Thanks for watching. We tried the 2”from Amazon but it wasn’t as comfortable as our King size that we have extra from home. My sister in law bought an 8” memory foam mattress from Costco for her AI24. Now she is very happy. It’s always in bed mode since they can use the table up front.
Hi!❤we watch you daily…love how you have updated your Airstream. We have been looking everywhere for bendable foam to make a similar mattress and cover. Help…where can I buy the foam??? We live in Orange County. Thank you so much. Just watched you do the oil change🥳🥳
Hi Kimberly, thank you for watching! 😍You can buy the memory foam mattress topper anywhere. There are different types and they do feel differently too so you might have to try it out. We bought it from Costco warehouse a long time ago so I don’t have the link for it. It was a king size 2” so I cut it to size to fit our previous van so it’s not a perfect fit to this Airstream but since we like how it feel we just keep it. My sister in law bought 3” memory foam mattress topper from Costco because 2” wasn’t thick enough for her. As for the cover, if you don’t want to sew you can buy a twin size duvet cover and I think the size is pretty close to the size of the mattress topper. Do you have Airstream Interstate 19 as well?
Thank you so much! We’ve ordered from Amazon twice. Too heavy or doesn’t fold nicely like yours. We bought our first 2022 Midwest Automotive diesel 24 feet. So it’s different but similar. As they’re Mercedes Sprinter. In fact I’m watching your channel right now…Joshua Tree❤️❤️❤️
@@kimberlyadessian we almost bought Midwest too but the shorter version because I can’t barely backup with our 19 feet. Lol Since we have a few Airstream dealers within a few ours from us we decided on the Airstream. You can try to order from Costco too if they still have the 2” memory foam topper. Joshua National Park has such unique landscapes. We love it and probably will go back again in the spring with my brother and his wife since they haven’t been there yet.
This fluffy cushion cover combination is so cute that my wife loves it. If it is convenient, could you please give me the link of Amazon? We also just bought a airstream 19. Your videos are awesome! According to your introduction, I also turned off the middle speaker, the sound is much better. I’m living in seattle . If you come please let me know:) Wish you have a great day

We want to to go toward Vancouver sometime this year and for sure will pass by Seattle to say Hi . Let’s the adventures begin for you and your wife too! 🤗 Did you join the AI19 Facebook group yet?
Thank you for watching Jeff! The foam topper is from our previous Roadtrek SRT so it is a little small for our Airstream. The Airstream measurement is 69x73 with a little cut out at the conner by the countertop.
We have only been staying at city or state campgrounds. If it’s last minutes plan then we can check for availability online the day before. They sometimes do have last minutes cancellation.
The white furry blanket over the back bed looks so warm and comfy. Was it in your plans to use the van off road occasionally when you bought it? If so now that you only want to use it more for luxury travel, will that change your travel plans moving forward & are you a little disappointed.
Hi Ara, we didn’t plan to get a 4X4 since we don’t plan to go off road or boondock. My brother bought a longer Airstream 24GT so we decided to sell our previous class B and took over his order for this AI19 4X4. Even though we had to pay more than we anticipated for a 4X4, we wanted some extra clearance from the road and just in case we get stuck in mud we have the 4x4 to help get us out. We were always scared of damaging all the tanks and hoses under our previous van when driving over bumps or things on the freeway. We are glad that we have the 4x4 even though we don’t plan to go off road. For now just glamping. Lol Airstream is so well made compared to our previous 2019 Roadtrek Zion SRT.
Hi Roy,we only stayed at campgrounds even for last minutes plans. Sometimes we call up the private campground as some have first come first serve campsites. Most of the time I checked online for availability for the next day if it’s a last minute trip.
Look like chi have a lot of work to have the bed ready for sleep position. Since only two of you, why dont you leave the bed i ready to sleep position all the time? Just a wondering?
When we travel by ourselves we like to make up the bed in the morning just to have an open feel inside the coach. Sometimes we travel with our 2 little dogs then we leave the bed in sleep position all weekend.
I love it so much. Omgosh. You giving me so many ideas what to do. It's perfect. What a life. To be honest with you I will not put the bed out and retract it everytime I going to sleep and waking. I will just leave it flat. THere is no need for me to do that. I will leave it simply flat most of the time unless I need those seats when driving. But excellent in all regards. You the one who make it good. Congratulations.
I like the airstream because it it luxury and all the fancy technology, but I like the revel because it will give me the feeling off-roading and towing my boat where boat and launch it where I want to be… it is hard decision for me right now…. Do you pull anything behind your airstream? I love to be able to tow a small aluminum boat behind the rv and launch it in a river or a bay.
Benny, I can imagine you pulling your aluminum boat behind your Revel and launch it in the river. Lol If that is how you travel then the Revel is a better for you. The Airstream is luxurious and hi tech but things are more likely to break down especially when you want to take it off road. We drove on unpaved roads a few times and afterward there were more rattles and squeaks. We probably won’t take it off roads much since we are more into luxury travel and want quiet ride. Lol We like to have the option to pull our sport car if we want to with the Sprinter chassis. We had the Ram Promaster chassis on our previous class B and it can only tow 2000 lbs.
Thank you Paul! We bought ours at Dave Arbogast RV in Ohio. They gave the most discount. You can look on RVtrader.com and send out a few inquiries. The dealers will respond with their offers. Don’t buy at CA dealerships. They don’t give any discount from MSRP.
What are the dimensions of the throw you used in the video and where did you get it? Great idea for the bed/couch. We will get our Interstate GT in February.
Hi Sue, I got the throw from Costco in December. I saw it 2-3 weeks ago at Costco. I can’t measure the size right now but it looks like 70”x80”? You will have so much space in yours GT. My brother has the GT also. So excited for you! 🤗

Hi Vickie, I cut 2 sheets we have at home to size and just sew them together. I don’t know much about sewing so didn’t sew a zipper but just sew some pieces of special Velcro on. The Velcro is called sew on Velcro. So far the velcro stayed on through a few washing. 😂
