Sorry to respond to an old comment, but it’s in reference to the whole Columbus plot line, which (as I see it) is about Marvin discovering his sexuality. He’s Columbus, discovering a whole side to himself that wasn’t there and that the world is round. (Which Columbus didn’t do but it’s a popular misconception) But the discovery didn’t make the world round, it was always round, and he was always gay. Also sorta ties into the line in I’m Breaking Down “it’s so upsetting when you’ve found that what’s rectangular is round” idk if that’s on purpose but it fits so I’ll pretend it is.
