ONE DAY IN MALTA | Tourist Heaven Or Hell?
This is just one side of Malta, which is an incredible country with a lot packed into a small area. I made five more videos during my time there. Here's one that shows much more of this fascinating island nation, as well as the prices of things: ua-cam.com/video/mkflvnSOOIY/v-deo.html
Beautiful bit too many people, nothing else’s to see if importance I will skip Malta, even though I am 1% Maltese 😂
Hey bro! You are using Gopro Hero 8 right?
@@aamirzeb3180 I think this was filmed with the 7, but if you check the description it's listed there.
I m from nepal.

If no one has ever thanked you for being so polite on your journeys... thank you. You make the rest of Americans look better by treading lightly.
He is also Canadian born ;)
But yes, I do agree with you too.
Being born in Canada definitely helps...it’s not easy making Americans look good! Haha
His Canadian upbringing helped him! Duh!

@@AntigoneIvy Always thought he was Canadian! He doesn't sound or act American at all.
16:40 most of the water we take here is not from sea water but water that is underground that have collected from the rain over millions of years that's how they had water in old times
That makes sense, thanks. They're called aquifers in English.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos yeh that's the word could not remember the word
Don't know if someone pointed this out already, but the tower located on the island of Comino was used in the movie The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) as the Chateau d'If. Many scenes from that movie were filmed in Malta. I'm Maltese, thanks for visiting our islands!
Hello..I’m Nigerian and I’m currently planning to come to Malta for post graduate studies..any advice ?
I've been in Malta three times and every time I admire its magnificent limestone cliffs and ancient cities like Valletta. Every time I stayed in cheap hostels in St.Julians. The price for the night was around 18 euro per night as far as I remember. And I bought all the food from nearest supermarket and prepared it in hostel's kitchen. Also the nearby island of Gozo used to be my #1 to visit when the famous ''Azure window'' was in tact.
I'm from Malta, and I can tell you with all honesty that we have some awesome places to visit ,we are generally very friendly and kind but beware not all are the same character, arrogance is increasing with some people, traffic can be literally HELL with some disobeying traffic rules completely, concrete tower monsters with cranes all over are a common site ,we have restaurants to be proud of but choose wisely before deciding to dine. Do not miss GOZO our sister island which is less hectic but in summer can be a hellish place due to people visiting it. Comino is awesome but again expect overcrowding in the summer months. Hope you enjoy if you decide to visit the island.
Dont forget that most People in Turist Jobs earn the minimum wage of 5€/ hour and they have to share a flat with many People.
is it still very crowded with tourists in september? thanks in advance
Bro I'm sorry to say but generally almost all Maltese people will be a pain to talk to, well at-least in my area on the south. They always disrespect or try to pick a fight they can't finish.
I love malta..i from india..i want a job in malta country plz anybody help me .indian chef any resturant or hotel..how can get a job
Dear Gabriel, for the reader's information that old building which is a small fort is called 'It-Torri ta' Santa Marija' in Maltese or also known as the Comino Tower , which is a large bastioned watchtower on the island of Comino in Malta. It was built by the Knights of St.John in 1618, the fifth of six Wignacourt towers spreaded around the Islands of Malta and Gozo. More recently it was also in the film the 'Count of Monte Cristo' in 2002 as the ' Chateau d'If' . The film was directed by Kevin Reynolds and starred Richard Harris, James Caviezel, Dagmara Dominczyk, Guy Pearce and Luis Guzman.....
Always I find new ways of EXPLORING, thank you
Thank you for sharing your great experiences 😊happy and safe travels friend!!
Malta is a historical site with amazingly preserved towns and villages. It is however NOT a beach or party destination. Every traveler needs to do a bit of research before coming to a place. Also, like everywhere at the med, July and August are too busy to properly enjoy Malta. Nothing beats the sweet and mellow climate and atmosphere you have in May, October and November. These are the best months to visit Malta.
Most people would disagree about it not being a party destination. In fact, that's the biggest complaint I hear from visitors to the island, is that there is TOO MUCH partying. I agree though that it's certainly not a beach destination. I visited in late October and it was still very crowded. The island is a history lover's paradise, I will agree, but it's so expensive and there are people and buildings EVERYWHERE! There's almost no empty space on the island, to just get away from it all and be out in nature. I imagined Malta very differently. I expected it to have this exotic, untouched vibe, and it did to a certain extent, but it also had the vibe of a stereotypical vacation destination.
Beautiful Island, south of Italy in the Mediterranean. Enjoy the really friendly people & the help they give you. Beautiful weather. Value for money. Enjoy nightlife & the beautiful sightseeing on land and at sea. Good service. Genuine food. Traveling from one place to another with public transport and taxis. Enjoy Enjoy.
I went over the Christmas period. It was never busy as that and still around a nice warm 15-20 Celsius.
Yes, I was there mid December last year. Hardly any tourists....we even had 19 degrees C one of the days. I love Malta....going back next month after the school holidays finish.

Wow Malta looks amazing

The island nation of Malta is a surreal beauty to explore in the Mediterranean Sea! Your trip is fun and inspiring to watch. The beer seems delicious too!
Just WOW, Thank you Gabe. How can anyone give your videos a thumbs down.Gorgeous! I like how you tell the prices, show your food, warnings of certain things.I love my front row seat to the world !!!

i loved this video and i liked how Gabriel showed us France real quick with a day trip
"So awesome, other than all the people." That's describes life pretty accurately...
Another magnific video from Malta ! Safe travels !
At about the 10:52-53 mark, those figurines were replicas of the Knights Templar. They had a major strong hold in the city, as well as the Knights Hospitallers.
@Jim Bob, I read two books on the Templars. I would read more, but they're almost all the same.
Now, I'm trying to find one about the Slavic History.
The best investment that you can do it in your life is to travel, anywhere that you go you're flipping another page in your amazing life, if you love to travel go and don't stop, it's beautiful to know other cultures to me it's a excellent therapy.

Facts. I’m planning to travel Europe for awhile visiting 8 countries including Malta. Travel is essential
Celida...great comment
👏👏👏👏👏
What an extremely pleasant sunny Sunday cruise! Not too many people for there's lots of open pretty space, but it is the European Summer holiday season where people take off work for a few weeks paid vacation as the same happens in Winter as well. They're so blessed over there!
Wish you could get some drone footage of a place like that Castle in the middle of this video. That would be even more Epic!
Loved seeing Malta here, Gabriel! Especially Comino - beautiful!

Great video, amazing water, rocks, and cliffs
Beautiful video, so lovely to walk with you around this island. Can't believe how blue the sea is there. Have subscribed so look forward to seeing what you do next.

Amazing video Gabriel well done 😊😊❤️❤️
I have been to Comino during pandemic and its amazing and not crowded at all.
You are a damn daring lone explorer, be on land or water. You enjoy traveling to places where one would hesitate to go. I adore that. Hats off. Plus you manage to return back in time. I enjoy watching your videos 👏👏👌👍♥️
I really love it when you dive into the water.
Look like to me he fell in the water, LOL
I love Malta 🇲🇹 been going since I was a child . Can’t wait to get back there
glad you like it I live there b'kara
I have heard Malta is a beautiful country, nice video.
Thanks for the lovely scenes and positive review about Malta
7:32 Those are the Maltese cctv, Gozo is like a journey to time most of the people who live there follow and think traditionally
Really great camera work and high quality video. Keep up the good work!
Excellent, thanks.
Thank you Gabriel. For this wonderful video of Malta. May God bless you.
There weren't near as many tourists when I visited Malta in 1995.
There were very few people at the Blue Lagoon back then. If you swam to the ocean side of the Blue Lagoon, there was a tube, approx. 10m long and 1m diameter that you could swim down when the water was still.
Malta was also dirtier, noisier, and more polluted, and in Valletta, there were cats everywhere.
I love the Mediterranean! So beautiful

Cisk Lager, award-winning, iconic Maltese beer and flagship brand of the Farsons Brewery is celebrating its 90th birthday this year with a number of planned public events around Malta and Gozo and limited-edition packaging marking this milestone.
Cisk was launched in 1929 after Scicluna's Bank took over the operations of one of its clients who was granted a temporary exclusive licence to manufacture Pilsner and Munchener type beers. The company became known as The Malta Export Brewery.
The story of Cisk however, started much earlier than that, when Malta's first privately-owned bank was established by Giuseppe Scicluna in 1840.
To answer the water question, Malta has many days of rain during Autumn and Winter so in the past it would have been collected, but freshwater was also pumped from below ground.
Great Video. Thank you for posting.
We love your down to earth videos :-)
Me too love country
mister Gabriel is re-inventing freedom! this channel deserves more views, more subscribers ( gonna happen very soon if you keep going)
I love your videos and commentary. You do a great job with your videos, you almost make me feel like I am there with you! :)
Great job!!!! wonderful Ireally appreciate you did so amazing tour in such short time!!!
I travelled to Malta in1993, stayed for about 3 weeks during July. I remember visiting the blue lagoon on Camino but don't remember it being busy at all. Maybe its my faded memory or maybe I was immune to the crowds in my 20's :) I do remember it being almost unbearably hot though at times, 32C at night with no air conditioning!
We went to Gozo yrs back for a forghtnight staying at Xlendi in a fabulous apartment overlooking Xlendi Bay. My girlfriend talked me into swimming through the tunnel, I'm terrified of deep water, Jaws and all that lol Beautiful people and great food perfect weather. We chartered a boat and we circumnavigated Gozo and Comino island, a massive achievement for someone afraid of open water in a little boat 12 foot long with an outbound.. Jaws lurking to get me! probably. Superb vlog loved it Thankyou X
Stunning every single way, awseome footage spot on
living vicariously thru your videos. thanks!
Gabe you know you've made it when you have people arguing who comments first on your video😂keep up the beautiful videos man you're an inspiration to all of us! Much love from Houston, Texas🤘🏻
this video caught my eye because I traveled to Malta in the early 2000's (in January) and absolutely LOVED it. It wasn't crowded... I do hate crowds so I think I won't want to visit during the summer. When we went to Gozo and Comino we took a ferry and saw ancient temples and old catacombs. Such a fascinating place. Your video inspires me to go take a hike and then jump into the water, that must have been amazing too. On the main island of Malta, there used to be these colorful painted buses that would take you all around the island, so easy and fun. I hear they shut those down. I wonder how it is now. I'll be back some day!
Hello dear
Hi
Gorgeous landscapes, you earned a new sub!
Wow, that looks beautiful!
Hey Gab, thank you for the memories of Malta ,Gozo, best place on earth
I’ve been there and it’s absolutely beautiful if you want to avoid all the tourists just go in October or November 🤗
❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕❤️💕
Love Malta. Happy memories.
Thank you as always Gabriel, love your work!
Wow, that looks beautiful! Still haven't been there but definitely need to in the future... Maybe during the low season, though 😂
Malta is beautiful, and that sea-tunel is amazing...
Another great vid Gabe. Thx!
Gabriel, I know that the fictional seaside village of Popeye (1980 starring Robin Williams) was filmed in Malta and it is still there. Btw, I've researched, years ago, that the Maltese vocabulary is comprised of about 50 Italian/Sicilian and has an Arabic syntax. When I heard the Maltese language it sounded Arabic with a twist of Italian.
becouse it was controlled by arab in past
Maltese language comes from Arabic, Italian, French and English
@@nicoletteagius2109 yep it does
I often hear that Maltese is unrelated to any other language, but they have a lot of words that are derived from Maghrebi Arabic. People from North Africa can understand about 50% of Maltese when they hear it spoken.
Don't normally watch these types of travel blogs but fell on this one and actually enjoyed it. I am thinking of going to Malta so very interesting to me. What is it like to have the camera on your self and to be a lone traveler?
I used to be mad when tourists would storm Zadar, CROATIA. But now during covid-19 I welcome everyone to my town over the summer, fill the streets and let us have a normal year like it use to be.!
Hrvatska is many levels over Malta!
You packed a lot in on that tour.. I kept worrying if you'd get back to your transport on time!
great day trip, what a view!
Ciao... Gabriel... Grazie mille... For another magnific video from Malta... You have done a excellent job... God bless you... A lot of thanks to you... Saluti💢💎💎💎
Thank you for your good review of our Island mainly Gozo and Comino. It was much more beautiful before but now its being turned into a concrete jungle
heq itlaq filkas ux.
This is beautiful. Love the rocks!
The Golden Bay Area is actually very nice and less packed. When I went, there were few people in the beaches (as there are a few you have to walk to). Water was amazing and there were views for days. Also, there’s a sunset horse-back riding company nearby that has a tour for 2.5 hours for only 30 Euro’s. A steal!
Nice clear/blue water. Kinda curious now what's in the building you hiked to....
Best time to visit Malta is October, which is still relatively warm. By then most of the tourists have left with the exception of the over 65s who chose to spend the British winter months in sunnier climes. We hired a car and seen everything we set out to see and do in the 10 days we were there. Loved Malta ♥️♥️ My favourite place was the small and picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk where we watched the fisherman bring in their catch on their small Luzzu's ( boats) Hope to return very soon.
Hello annie
looks very touristy..non the less a awesome island to explore! thanks for all the great content
So glad I got to see the Arch in person before it collapsed ... nice video man enjoying the content
Video so refreshing watching you swim🐱
Yes,come to dubai also
You captured our island pretty well. Thanks and well done.
very beautiful i would say, i would love to wish here one day.
A good walking tour along the streets and ways of Malta. 3:20 - an amazing place for the relax.
great video, brill soundtrack as ever !
Malta itself is a beautiful island with so much to explore, but blue lagoon is too much. Hundreds of tourists packed into one little patch of sand and cliff, no thank you.
Some people are better off staying away 😉
When you arrive at Komino just walk past the Blue Lagoon, 200 meters to the right and you reach Chrystal Lagoon. There are no people there and its insanely beautiful
I’d much rather just stay in Gozo
@@MzeeTravels Buildings or on Comino will probably never happen due to environmental regulations and rules, and i'm pretty sure the local people are in favor for preserving Comino as it is despite being a tourist hotspot. Best thing that can happen is probably to plant some trees on there but as you can see, the land isn't exactly fertile there.
@@MzeeTravels yes do build more facilities pls, why not ruin comino as well?
The old building in the background is where they filmed the end scene of The Count of Monte Christo.............I went many years ago............Amazing place !!!
Great video as usual. Heading there in 3 weeks, can wait. Blue Lagoon i will try to visit early morning, i think in September still is going to be very busy.
Really nice video Gabe, I enjoyed it very much

@einniB retxeD have you got a crispy centre with a dark outer layer asking for a friend...?
I remember when I went to the blue lagoon 15 plus years ago there was one little shop selling drinks looks mayhem now but great place
I traveled there last week and instantly remembered I've seen much of the stuff in this oldish video of yours.
Another classic Gabe thanks
It seems like summer months is the peak of tourist season. I wonder how Malta is during the other seasons??? I would like to go during peak and off season.
Hey I went off season and it was not like this. You can swim by the Mall and no one is even there. It has steps to go down in capital and is awesome.
thank you so much for your work. loving your stuff and very curious about malta and want to see more, much as you can do. can you still swim in october? really looking forward to another malta vid.
People still go swimming around then and in winter, not as much as in summer buts its a bit colder than but its still nice😊
Wow amazing i wish one day i will be in this country for my job I'm trying to coming there!
This-is beautiful video great content and awesome weather conditions as well Weldon .
Malta is amazing travel destinations. I have been about 20 years ago. Also back then you had old buses
My dream also, come here in dubai
This dude is wild....I love it
Located everywhere on the Mediterranean coast is beautiful.
enjoyed this video tremendously....thanks Gabe!!
Thank you for visiting my country gabe amazing cant wait to visit i left malta 5 yeara ago now im living in iceland 🙂
Egypt's Matrouh is very similar; in weather, nature, sea, atmosphere, etc. This shows how close the Mediterranean countries are! Love Malta.
Good for you. You are having fun. This is what is life about
Thanks for the excellent coverage ...
