  • This is Part One of the Brooklands Museum Fly-in during August 2021 (Part Two is here • Brooklands Museum Fly ... ). The event is normally held four times a year on the Grass Strip by the Museum Car Park next to Mercedes Benz World. All those taking part (Organisers, ATC, Fire and Ground Crew) are all volunteers and all aircraft are by invitation only. Those attending this time are G-CUBN G-HEWZ G-MODE G-BVIE G-AXDI G-BPHR G-LIKY G-AOZH G-ADUR G-AAZP.     Fascinating stuff, looking forward to seeing the C172 get out! I pondered if any of the DH moth aircraft were restored by the late Cliff Lovell🤔🤔💜

    How come the aircraft are by invitation only and this fly-in is not open to anyone who wants to drop in?

      You have to first of all remember it is a privilege to fly into Brooklands where there are a number of restrictions on when, how and what type of aircraft can land. This means that the Aviation Team have to be selective, about short listing for events. There is however no reason for anyone who thinks their aircraft is suitable to not apply in writing to the Aviation Team care of Brooklands Museum and asking for more information.

      @@AndysVideo Interesting. However, being from a different country and not having such restrictions at any airports here this is something unusual to read about.
      If the future is kind, I'd like to visit this airport and the museum.
