The armor is actually removable, you just have to go in through the back inside of the liner and fish your way into the shoulders/arms. It's kind of a pain, but it's possible.
I have the complete suit and love it. It has kept me warm down to temps in the high 20 degree F range with proper base layer. It does get rather warm at temps above 80 degrees, even with the vents open and liner out. Something to keep in mind if you ride in a hot desert climate. I’ve personally worn this suit riding at interstate speeds during rain that lasted for several hours and it kept me dry. Great quality and very comfortable. It’s definitely worth a look if you’re in the market for a good quality riding suit that won’t break your budget.
My wife got me one of these jackets last year for cooler weather riding in SC. Yes it does get cold down here lol. And I absolutely love it. I've ridden in 55° degree days with no problem with this riding jacket. If it gets colder than that I put on a heated vest and I can ride low 40° all day with the vest/jacket combo.
So yes I am riding in winter in Netherlands. I am looking for something that could keep me warm and dry for a day ride. Nice video, straight to the point.

I bought a bunch of winter riding gear cause I ride to work all year round. I finally got a great set up then I get transferred to an location less than 0.2 miles from my house. 😆 Great video a always!
I have the Cortech Accelerator jacket, and with only a t-shirt on, this jacket has keep me warm down to the mid 30’s. I have a 30 minute ride to work, and it does the trick. I’m looking for something newer, because Cortech doesn’t make this model anymore, and I can’t find their replacement model. May have to check this one out.
Oh yeah! I know which jacket you’re talking about. Definitely check this one out… has similar qualities to it! so far it’s kept me warm on the mid 30 days even if I have the liner out
I’ll ride through the fall as much as I can, but haven’t ridden through a winter yet. I gets cold here in PA and people forget how to drive anytime there’s any sort of condensation in the air or on the ground. 😐
Ohio is still flannel and vest weather but yep fall is coming after us. Normally the spine guard gets uncomfortable for my girlfriend because she's short and it literally touches the seat AND her helmet giving her no wiggle room at all..
Trying to figure out my size on this jacket. I am 5'8 and 188 pounds and i got medium but seems tight. What's your weight - height if you don't mind me asking?
So it’s been pretty chilly this Spring where I live. I’ve worn it in 60 degree weather and it gets a bit hot but when the bike is moving and if I have all the vents open it’s do-able! I’d say it does well in weather 65 degrees and lower.

I used this this winter in Jersey and it works great. Waiting for spring and maybe getting the airbag with it.

The armor is removable. You have to unzip the mesh at the bottom of the back panel and then go under the waterproof liner.
