Thanks for sharing. I have been wanting a new winter jacket. I am still sporting a Joe Rocket Ballistic Series jacket get this.....from 2004!! I'd say I got my money's worth. I have been looking hard at that last Alpinestar jacket. But you say you have been enjoyed the Tourmaster Transition jacket?
I definitely do. The fit is right, the build quality is solid, there's plenty of ventilation if you need it and it seals up well in bad weather. The liner isn't as nice as the Alpinestars jacket, but it still does a good job keeping me warm. The under the helmet hood is a really useful, unique touch too. I personally like the look of the Series 4 a bit more, it's got some exterior padding on the shoulders and back that give it a cool look. The Series 5 is a more tidy presentation since those exterior pads are now gone. I highly recommend checking it out. Thanks for the note! - Byron
Riders Domain Hey will check it out. Honestly the thermal liner is not too much of a concern. I went to Sedici HotWired Heated Jacket Liner 2 years ago. Since then actually removed all my Thermal liners!! Keep up the great vids. Enjoy the gear reviews
Perfect! That Transition jacket will be really nice with a heated liner. Be sure to let us know what you think if you end up getting one, and thanks for watching! - Byron
That’s my issue with most reviews. I think most reviewers want to inform on the gear and it’s features, but they miss the mark on temperatures and riding temps. I ride all year in NY. I’m looking to find a better jacket for the winter temps. Can it handle 30 degrees f and still feel warm? Do I have to start layering at 50 degrees?
all jackets in the video come with elbow and shoulder protectors. The REV'IT! Flare Jacket is the only one that doesn't include a back pad, however there is a compartment in that piece which will hold a protector if you choose to upgrade.
Hi I´m lookong foward to buy an andes v2 jacket but i´m a little worried about the fitting, Im 6´2" and 210 lbs do you think an XL will fit me? how tall are you to compare, thanks and cograts on you review!
I'm 6ft tall, weigh in about 170 lbs and typically wear size large. Is XL your usual size? Also, are you comfortable in a more form fit piece or do you like some room to move?
Give the XL a try I'd say. The jacket was form-fit enough for me in a Large that I think with you'd be pretty happy in that size considering your measurements. Let us know what you think when you get your hands on one! - Byron

I used to think the same.....now I'm 40 and don't care what anyone thinks. Started on an r6, but ride a couple of (badass) cruisers, now. One even has a back rest, lol. I just want to stay dry, comfortable, and safe on my rides.
