I haven’t heard about the Yoshan. I honestly pulled the trigger on the Bideli before I had done much research. It was a great machine to learn on though. You planning on getting one?
Ya those seem like good machines. Little smaller batch size but air roasting is pretty quick. Anxious to see how you like it. I only know one local shop with one and they seem to do well with it. Thanks for watching buddy!
Hey , I have a Toper Cafemino 1kg , the problem is replacement parts , I also have lathe , milling machines and welders , but I can't make a custom electric element that costs $200 bucks from Turkey . My question to you is have you looked at the parts like bearings and motors and gas burners ? That you can source that stuff locally . I change the bearings every year and also the thermocouples , it's good to have spare parts on hand as I've learned .
Haha... I have not but because my roaster is down I am doing all this now. Lol getting spare parts for as much as I can think of. That is one thing I did not take into consideration in the beginning. Just because I can make machined parts in the shop doesn't do jack when I need an electrical igniter. haha I am slowly learning...
Hi, really enjoyed your videos. I almost bought a 1kg Bideli electric roaster. Just before I placed my order I realised the machine is rated at 4860 W. Here in Australia, a 10A power point can only do 2400W safely. Can’t seem to find any solutions online. Any suggestions ?
I think that is why I had to get the converter box to operate it. You may have to look into that. I think I have one for AC/DC linked in the description but there should be one for your country as well. Thanks for watching buddy and good luck!
dear, I need ur opinion about bideli small roaster....is it really good? roast coffee perfectly like a professional roaster?? does it need to get a maintaince a lot? get corrupt quickly??
Hey buddy! It’s a good roaster. It’s obviously not going to be the quality of a Loring or Probat but I have enjoyed mine. I had a few minor issues but I was able to get parts and fix it. My igniter went out and I had to replace it after about 2 years. I like it for what I do with it.
I thought to buy it and use it to roast speciality coffee everyday (maybe 30kg/day, by using 1kg bideli roaster capacity), do u think it is going to be worked?
That would be a bunch of batches a day. The work hours to do that much daily on a 1kg would be pretty intense. Idk if it would be worth it if you are trying to sale coffee if you add up your labor hour cost. I don’t know if the machine would hold up to that much activity. You may have to give it a break between so many batches. You may need to look into getting a larger roaster that can handle that much capacity with less hours behind the roaster each day.
@@RobPirieCedarOtaCoffee God bless you,,, thanks for helping, appreciated ur helping a lot, I believe, it is not worthy to buy a chinese roaster, since the shipping cost is high as well as, the difficulty of having parts...and It may not roast coffee very well...
