I went to KBB and checked my trade in value on my 2024 land cruiser first edition vs a 2024 BMW X5, both with the same starting price. and the X5 dropped around 10k or more than my land cruiser did, the Gx550 isnt listed on KBB yet..
people who buy this dont buy it for 0-60, its tough and rugged, its a full frame not a unibody, its heavy so that makes it solid... did I mention its solid? its not in comparison to a telluride or other SUV, drive one sometime, it is more for offroad, but im sure people will buy and drive in the city. .. its like comparing a 4 runner to a highlander.. they are totally different. highlander is more smooth and quiet, but a 4 runner just has a more solid feel to it... but its slow.. who cares? each car has a different buyer.
As per sections 9 and 34 of the Select Luxury Items Tax Act, subject vehicles valued over $100,000 will be taxed the lesser of: 1) 10% of the taxable amount of the vehicle, and 2) 20% of the amount above the price threshold. For example, if you are purchasing a vehicle with a taxable amount of $120,000, the luxury tax will be calculated as the lesser of 10% of $120,000, which is equal to $12,000, and 20% of $20,000.00, which is equal to $4,000. So, the luxury tax on a vehicle sold for $120,000 would be $4,000. Note that GST/HST is charged on the total amount of the subject vehicle plus the luxury tax. For example, if a vehicle is valued at $120,000 and the luxury tax is calculated to be $4,000, the GST/HST will be calculated on the sub-total of $124,000. The white balance is off and inconsistent, so it doesn’t really show the car’s true color. I can tell you’ve put a lot into your studio, so it’d be great to have someone who can really make your videos shine!
The most loaded version of the Over Trail in the US goes all the way up to 89K, plus they sell over window sticker, because somehow even though we are almost out of 2024, the 24 are still in build phase and most are already allocated purchases. Toyota does plan on selling the OT, but the OT is about 20 of their production. Not to mention, Lexus may not sell the OT model soon, and strictly sell the non OT models and Land Cruiser will be the off road model.
I checked GX550 in person and the build quality didn’t impress me. GX460 interior is still better, line gaps, plastic used in GX550 make it feel cheap. Except the new boxy redesign, it doesn’t feel impressive like it looks.
