Noticed a knocking noise in my wife's front end and immediately thought, sway bar link... strut... ball joint.... never would have thought it'd be the motor mount! Doing the repair this weekend. This video likely saved me a few hundred bucks :) Thanks!
I'm tired of these damn things going out. Had to replace mine 3 times and a 4th is needed. They're all bad, no matter who makes it or sells it. Even OEM mounts don't last but a few years. Just a flawed design.

I did mine. And I wasn't sure if the car was still running at the red light after I installed the OEM hydraulic mount .wow
Stripped the bolt that goes into the engine bay on the small silver bracket what do I do now ? Threads are messed up?

What torque wrench are you using?
How long can a 08 civic last . Just bought one with 189k miles
How did you diagnose that the mount was bad?
Mines obvious because when I press the pedal quickly you can hear a knock or basically anytime weight transfers from the front or back or vice versa.
If your thinking about it change it .that's the diagnosis
If remove this mount ,engine will drop enough to reach belt tensioner bolt ?
does 1.3L auto and 1.8L auto have same mount number, i mean both are fixed by same part number?
Does this process work for an 08 civic hybrid as well?
What kind of cleaner did you use?
How do you do the driver side? Is there one on driver side?
why do u remove the bottom mount if ur not going to replace it?
Is this similar for the si?

3 17 mm bolts is all it takes.
