I had already listened to this months ago, but UA-cam suggested it, and I clicked thinking I must not have listened to this one (I listen to so many podcasts about the Shroud that I can't recall every title). But I just noticed that I hadn't commented, so maybe that's why UA-cam suggested it again. Anyway, I did listen to the whole discussion again, and it was worth it 🙏🏻✝️
Fascinating material! Since I'm a nurse, some of these details strike probably way different than for other people. Having experience with patients suffering from asphyxia, my heart is breaking to learn at such depth about death of our Lord.
It's just awful the suffering they went through. Although I do wish they'd acknowledge the thousands of other Jews that were scourged then crucified, sometimes you'd think that it was only our Lord who was crucified. Back in the day when I did my studying it was unbelievable how the Romans mercilessly scourged then crucified thousands of people, many just got left up there on the cross or on a simple T shape for days. After Spartacus revolt Crassus crucified 6000 evenly spread out along the Appian way, from Rome to Capua. And the Romans thought of themselves as highly civilised, smh.
@johnmichaelson9173 What's "Worse" Human Cruelty" Meso-American cultures decapitation of men and ripping their hearts out, Amalakites Heating up a metal idol Moleck and then putting their infants into the red hot arms of this god and then shouting to drown out the babies screaming in pain, or the Medieval methods of torture like the Iron Maiden, or being "Drawn and Quartered"? About Yeshuah in particular, He's the only one ever beaten, and tortured with a Crown of Thorns on His head .
@johnmichaelson9173 Man's inhumanity to Man is never new or different than any previous one. God had to destroy this Earth once in a Flood because it was filled with "HAMAS".. the Hebrew word for Violence.

Like Mr McQuaid, in the late 40's and 50's, I also grew up in an Irish Irish Catholic Catholic extended family. By the time I was 6, I was an avid reader and my dad already had several books and documents on the Shroud. Needless to say, I read them and have been a believer ever since.
I believe the Shroud of Turin DOES portray the image of Jesus - it is NOT a 'religious trinket' as "Now You See TV" have wrongly stated. They do excellent Christ-based shows, but they call the Shroud a 'religious trinket' obviously they have not really looked into it. I appreciate this interview, it does add serious credibility to the burial cloth of Christ. Thank you for this excellent interview!
I couldn’t imagine what Our Lord went through and the terror and heartbreak that Our Lady went through watching the torment her beautiful boy experienced. Thank you, Jesus!❤
Why do you put Mary on the same level as Jesus? Mary didn't die for our sins. Mary is a human being, she had no special power in life and none in her death. She needed to be saved from sin just like every human being that's ever lived. When you die, it won't be Jesus mother you stand before. Have no God's before me.
Luke 1:46-55 @@floydiandreamscapes5145 And Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant. Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed; for the Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name. His mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation. He has shown strength with his arm; he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts. He has brought down the powerful from their thrones, and lifted up the lowly; he has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy, according to the promise he made to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever.”
@@floydiandreamscapes5145 Without Mary, Jesus would not have been born. He required a worthy "portal" so to speak, through which he could "incarnate" (take flesh). Tradition has it and Edgar Cayce confirmed it by the way, that Mary was his "sister soul" and what is more, was also conceived "without male euh.. assistance" (which is not a dogma). Whether you (can/want to) believe it almost doesn't matter because Yes, it is Jesus who "did the job" of fulfilling scripture. This was NOT "Mary's job", in all evidence. It was HIS job & His alone. Mary doesn't need to be "on the same level" or in the foreground, but without her also accepting the Father's will as the one & only determining factor in her life, she clearly walked ahead of him, just as John the Baptist's job was to be the "announcer" of Him who came right after him (John). Don't you judge what others believe. Nobody obliges you to "believe in Mary" either. Jesus is the Christ. But Mary's part in the story of His incarnation was an absolutely necessary prerequisit. Thus she does merit recognition to say the least.
I was an atheist in 1978 until I had a dream when I met the image of Jesus and He ask me to accept Him as Savior and I did not respond. Jesus ask me again and I said "I will". I was immediately filled with the most wonderful feeling and I fell to my knees, crying and crawled out the door. Some 20yrs later I turned on the TV and the History Channel was showing the face of the Shroud. Without knowing the topic of the show, I immediately knew that was the face of Jesus. He has a boxy face so don't let that part fool you.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'd be very very interested to hear more about what He looked like if you're ok to divulge that info. It bothers me so much that we have literally no info about His appearance in Scripture. It makes for a broader reach when evangelizing but we all know we're interested in knowing more about that.

It was rational scientific inquiry such as this that brought me to Jesus. Once I started learning the evidence quickly piles up. It is, frankly, overwhelming. I’m talking every aspect, from the evidence for Hesus as an actual historic person, to His acts and miracles, trial and crucifixion, and yes, resurrection. Beyond this, everything in nature from the beginning of space, time, matter and energy to the incredible fine tuning of fundamental particles and properties speaks of divine design. You could conduct a whole series of interviews with Dr James Tour, Steven Meyer, J Warner Wallace, and others. Together they build an insurmountable amount of evidence for not only intelligent design, but the personal God of the Bible. This is to my mind the most staggering part of all, that such an incredible story is in fact true and accessible to even the most secular of minds. These heartbreaking events really did happen. If that doesn’t rock your world I don’t even know what to say.
Oh my goodness, I am from Western NY and now live in Arizona (Flagstaff for 10 years, now Scottsdale). I would LOVE to know about any in person talks about the shroud in AZ!!
Well done and well said. Very interesting chatt. Glad it was recommended by YT algorithm and that Dr. McQuaid graciously agreed to your invitation. Also thx for the links, Mike
Several people made comments that the shroud was carbon dated at around 1300. They apparently never heard that this was misleading bc the part of the shroud that was used for dating was a part that was not consistent with the rest of the shroud bc it had been repaired due to a fire that occured around 1300. The area of the sample even looked different from the rest of the shroud, so it was foolish of them to use that piece. These people need to check these other sources, and I'm surprised this interview did not bring out this issue of the poor choice of sample for carbon dating!
I find it rather exasperating that more people don’t recognize the authenticity of the shroud and the incontrovertible evidence of the miraculous nature of it’s existence
It's especially weird encountering Christian skeptics of it. They invariably come off as if they're embarrassed by the faith's history of relics and miracles, trying to appeal to rationalists and reductionists. "Hey we can be skeptics too!" Bizarre.
@@rivereuphrates8103: I’ve never been a fan of relics myself, you could never ascertain the validity of something like a nail, a piece of the true cross somebody’s hair or blood etc. Not only was there rivalries amongst churches over them, but people were worshiping the objects over God! I don’t consider things holy, only God alone is holy. That being said, as far as relics go, the shroud of Turin is truly unique and it’s attributes stand on there own.
I think that something "nuclear " happened at the moment of His Resurrection. If you look at the images of the permenant shadows of people/objects etched into the cement in Hiroshima at the moment of detonation, it is similar to that phenomenon.
I'm a nuclear radiation expert and your probably correct! The depth of the SHROUD IMAGE is 50 to 200 nanometers, or one thousandth of the diameter of human hair!! Extremely superficial and the only radiations that penetrates that shallow are charge particles like energetic charged particles and electrons and possibly extremely energetic ultraviolet!! I first saw the SHROUD IMAGE about early 1970s from my Catholic friends summer school pamphlet. The SHROUD is 100% the authentic burial linen of Jesus IMHO!! God Bless....
No one will keep the shroud so secure and kept sacredness for a long time if it was not worth it. Surely this shroud was kept hidden by the deciples of Jesus Christ, that we could share today the mystery of the death and resurrection of Christ our savior.
kevin exhibits a nervous personality that leads to unusual giggling while he describes some of the most painful aspects of the crucifixion, which is very unsettling...hopefully he can overcome this weakness...
As a retired surgeon who is not a Christian, there is no doubt in my mind that the Shroud is “authentic” in that it IS the burial wrapping of Jesus. There are two factors that cause me confusion: I do not understand how he could have survived the scourging. Most everyone experiencing this would die of hypovolemic shock. Secondly, it is very difficult and painful for me to look at his image during his death process. If you are not a surgeon, it is impossible to understand the actual pain and suffering he endured. It is unimaginable. God rest his soul in peace. Sanjosemike (no longer in CA) Retired surgeon
Jesus is the Divine Son of God. Because He took first and dwelt amoungst us HE is both human and divine. He does not need to rest in peace as He is Risen He rose from the tomb on Easter Sunday. He endured HIS PASSION to pay the price for our sins/wrongdoing. Although I appreciate Dr. McQuaid's perception of things, I can't agree on some of his conclusions. One is the height of the cross and the other the method of the nailing of the feet. Most all forensic evaluations suggest the heart and lungs were punctured with the side wound, hence the "water" and blood flow as described in scripture. If one takes the wound entry and the angle in which to puncture the heart, one can deduce the angle at which the lance was during penetration. It would have been not far from horizontal and considering the height assumed of most Romans at the time being approx. 5'6-5'7" one can conclude the body was low and therefore also the cross. Also the assumption that the lance would have been 'twisted' during the plunging action is not conducive to Roman practice and training. It would have been a straight in and out move to eliminate the possibility of the weapon being lodged. The Roman soldier was a professional killer and trained well in the art of doing so... Now as for the position of the feet, the idea that one would take one archeological find of a nail through the ankle and conclude all crucifixions were done the same is simply nonsense. There were various ways of crucifixion as we acknowledge from historical documents. A close look at the feet on the Shroud, and this has been covered by others, papers can be found on Shroud.com, shows pretty clearly a nail wound at the center of the flat foot and the other foot is angled in rigor, as if it had possibly been straddled above the other foot. The blood trailing's themselves are not conducive to both ankles being penetrated and one can see clearly the blood flow from the one foot from the previously mentioned nail wound with two different blood flows. One flows down to the toes presumably from when vertical on the cross and the other flowing towards the heel, presumably post mortem blood flow when the body was horizontal. I am not stating I am absolutely correct, but my assertions come also from extensive study and observation on the study of the Shroud.
Extensive STUDY wins the prize. Speaking into the topic without study of the latest findings is the hallmark of a person with an agenda to deride. Reject these pariahs with spit n kicks as they DESERVE BOTH.
I think that Jesus was the only person who was crusified that was so flocked. The other convicted wasn't flocked He was the only one, also wearing a thorn crown. He is alive and is coming back. Are we ready?
Can't wait for this one. I believe I've seen the majority of videos out there on The Shroud, but don't think any have included a Medical Examiner's perspective. Praying this isn't pre-recorded, so if I somehow miss it live, please ask Dr. McQuaid what he thinks of Dr. Gilbert Lavoie's observation that the back of the man (who I wholeheartedly believe is Jesus) shows no flattening. He says a dead body that's laying on a hard, flat surface for even just a few hours will be somewhat flattened. So it's remarkable that this body's backside shows perfect musculature form, just as if it were suspended in mid air. Even his hair is over the front of one of his shoulders and hasn't fallen back from gravity.
Hey there! It IS pre-recorded - sorry! But I'd be happy to forward your question to Dr. McQuaid and see if he has a reply. I have SO MANY MORE VIDEOS coming, I'm pretty excited :-) God bless!
@@TheGraciousGuest Thank you. I would greatly appreciate it if you would send the question to him. Looking forward to the upcoming videos. I could talk about The Shroud of Turin all day long. ☺
There is something that these religious people miss or omit, this is that the dead was washed before the burial as part of the ritual. Therefore, there is no reason to have blood on any shroud.
@@LookOutForNumberOne I suspect you'll automatically reject anything anyone says & are just looking to argue the existence of God and/or Jesus as His son, b/c if you truly had an interest in knowing if that statement is true, you could have easily looked it up. I'm not going to debate it with you, so I'll just leave you with some facts & food for thought: 1. There's nothing in the Bible that says His body was washed. 2. Jewish burial custom to "not" wash a body if death occurred by violence & blood flowed at the time of death is documented as far back as the 16th century in the Shulchan Aruch (Code of Jewish Law), with much evidence via biblical & rabbinical writings that it was being practiced in the 1st century too. 3. Logically you know that due to His time of death & with the the Sabbath drawing near & Passover beginning at sunset, Jesus would have had a hasty entombment (burial). 4. A dead body can continue bleeding for some time after death. 5. And of course you know that it requires a bit of effort to wash off dried, caked-on blood, especially when it's mingled with dirt & sweat. Considering how much blood there would have been, you know that would not have been a quick & easy accomplishment. I pray that in the future, you're able to overcome confirmation bias & will choose to research these topics thoroughly with an open mind & heart. After all, you have nothing to lose if you're right, but everything to lose if you're wrong. And no matter what you may want to believe, you're loved beyond comprehension. ❤
A great interview! I wonder, just how many ancient burial shrouds evenexist? Compared to others, as many as possible, does even ONE other shroud contain images? Liked and shared.
So does this mean the Shroud wasn't fully wrapped with side strips as Dr. John Jackson has suggested in his video? Also, wouldn't Nicodemus know how to properly bury another Jewish person? BTW, If anyone happens to be in the NYC area, about 15 miles west on Rt. 3 in N.J. there is a Catholic church known as the Holy Face Monastery that is dedicated to the Holy Shroud. There are accurate full size photos of the Shroud for close examination in both the positive and negative images. There is a back room with relics and statues to see as well. It is open to anyone who is interested and who may wish to visit.
One hypothesis is that Jesus passed through the wrapped Shroud leaving it intact as it was just before the tomb was sealed. Put another way, the Shroud collapsed through the body at the moment of the resurrection. This may have been the reason why Peter immediately believed when he went inside the empty tomb. @@jeffreyerwin3665
When Peter went into the tomb, there was someting unique about the way the burial cloths were arranged that allowed him to immediately believe. @@jeffreyerwin3665
This is a gift, I don’t know if you realize that this is very rare…getting something coming from the Holy Spirit in his truth is almost unbelievable! When you hear his voice, receive it and don’t look back. Most people only have the feeling of him and know within that the spirit comes into them, but I believe he can also speak when he needs to.. not like it’s prophecy or anything, but as you spiritual heart beckoning you to his salvation because he knows his children and who his sheep are. Some know all their life but just never seeked truly. Some never knew him and he needs to speak to, either way it’s for the glory of god! Embrace and humble ourselves to Jesus and he will be with us in everlasting life! Amen❤❤❤
I know that face on the shroud. I may never have seen that face in my life but I know that face is Jesus's face, just as strongly as I know my sons face.
I get so annoyed with the scoffers. They forget that unlike most crucifixions, Jesus was beaten with a Roman flagrum which had pieces of lead and bone on the leather thongs, which would have almost flayed him alive, and there would have been huge blood loss apart from the pain and shock. The 1979 STIRP team which tested the shroud said there were more than 600 lashes which went right round the body. Added to that he'd had his beard pulled out by the roots and his nose was broken when he fell forward while carrying the cross. The crown of thorns was actually a mass like a cap, made from the most vicious long thick thorns which went right through the scalp. This all before he was crucified! That's why he died after only 3 hours instead of a couple of days. A surgeon testified that the water that came out with the blood when he was stabbed with the spear proves not only that he was dead, but this collects round the heart when someone is tortured and the heart almost explodes from stress. If anyone ever says to me that its no big deal I explain this to them and watch them squirm. Jesus suffered the most horrific torture for our sake and I so love and respect him
It's difficult to listen to Dr McQuaid as it takes him so long to get his information out. His speech is quite disjointed and not easy to follow. What I did manage to pick up sounded interesting
I agree, a very knowledgeable man but between his slow speech, frequent and out of place smiles and laughter, plus being back-lit, it was difficult to focus. But the content was superb!
The tall cross makes sense because of the inscription placed "on the cross above His head" (Matt 27, 37 and John 19, 19), I don't think that you could put an inscription "on the cross above His head" on a 'T-cross'. I don't understand how a bruise can give a blood marking (video 37:12 onward)...
Thousands of Jews suffered under Roman occupation, 200 per day were scourged then crucified & this went on for weeks when Vespasian & Titus destroyed Jerusalem. Across the Empire from Israel to England the Romans crucified without remorse. As far as I know archaeologists have only discovered two graves in which the crucified man still had the nail embedded in the heel bone. They nailed the ankle on each side of the vertical post, many weren't nailed to the cross piece the arms were tied on by rope. Interesting upload, thank you.
Thank you Dr. Macquade I believe the shroud is very real and Explaining so many points of proof of what we are seeing on the the shroud is God's proof of what our Lord and Savior went thru for the believers that Love our One true Savior Jesus Christ ❤
I’m interested to know the exact blood type that is on the cloth. I understand that it’s an AB type? It would also be interesting to know the “purity” of the blood.

Certain “articles” let’s call them, on the shroud around him, are also in the photo. He’s only visible from his waist up, from the ground up, and is huge compared to a normal human. They all are. Fascinating interview but I was surprised to hear the Dr say, “if I make it to heaven…” I have to ask Dr, “why do you think our Lord suffered and died?” Dr his suffering and death was full payment for our sin. Believe and trust on him and you will absolutely “make it to heaven.”
Nothing worthwile comes about without suffering. New-born babies (childbirth), college exams, driving tests, sports finals, etc. Nobody remembers the pain while getting there.
The belief that a person can 'absolutely' make it to heaven is non-Catholic teaching. For Catholics that would be the sin of presumption, for only God knows who will go to Heaven.
None of us are guaranteed heaven. Believing alone is not enough. Yes, Jesus died for our sins. By his death and resurrection he opened the gates of heaven but we still have to pass the test to get in. Few people (Christian or not) make it to heaven.
@@mariaobeirne514 Actually you can know and that is the whole definition of faith. This is a quote from the book of Romans: “Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes… Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.”But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’”(that is, to bring Christ down) “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’”[that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”that is, If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile-the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:4, 9-13.
I heard a professor of medicine explaining the immediate cause of death being a ruptured artery leading to the shoulder. The blood that spurted out after the soldier’s spear punctured his chest came from this rupture. Padre Pio stigmata said his shoulder pain was the most painful. Falling the third time injured Jesus’s shoulder so badly his could no longer carry the cross.
It hurts me every time I think of what Yeshua Adonai went through for us…and to compound that He is The Son of God who did this huge sacrifice for us…wow it blows my mind. God didn’t need to do this. Some forty years ago they performed carbon-dating on this item and it showed to have been created in the 1400s. The earliest owners were house of Geoffroi de Charnay from Savoy. There is no known provenance before 1453. Also, the New Testament indicates that the linen that was left behind were in two pieces, the head piece separate from the remainder. (John 20:6-7) This testimony of the scriptures are denied by the Catholic Church because otherwise the Turin object would be exposed as a fake.
You need to do better research! It was almost *20 years ago* that Dr. Ray Rogers, a scientist at Los Alamos National Scientific Laboratories in New Mexico, *proved* that the carbon testing was done in error as the sample taken was from non-original part of the Shroud. The Shroud of Turin is 2000 years old. The face cloth of Jesus is in Spain where it has been for the last 1400 years. It is known as the Sudarium of Oviedo.
25 November, 2023 (Jesus' unimaginable suffering) Eloi! Eloi! Lama Sabachthani? My God! My God! Why have you abandoned me? Why did Jesus cry out with this question? Jesus hung on His cross for six hours. It is my understanding that for the first three hours He suffered the normal torture that crucifixion is intended to inflict. However, the final three hours were unspeakably different. The sun was blotted out, the sky went dark and the real suffering began as the full fury of Gods’ wrath and punishment for the collective sins of the world was poured out upon Him. This punishment was meted out full measure, not only in the presence of the Father (as symbolized by the darkness ie: Gods’ presence in Judgement & punishment), but by the Father Himself. Yet not one complaint was heard from our Lord during the horror of this ordeal. He willingly became our sacrificial Lamb and bore the burden of our sin in Himself. However, the full and final consequence of sin is total, absolute and eternal separation from God. Therefore, in order for Jesus to redeem us fully, He had to endure that final and worst imaginable insult, the complete separation from His Father, which he had not, in all of eternity, ever before experienced. This, seemingly unexpected agony, coming at the end of a long day of ever intensifying torture, was by far the most shocking experience of our Lords’ ordeal in completing His selfless act of sacrificial love and obedience to His Father in securing the redemption of His most special and most loved creation, mankind. So, when Jesus cried out, “My God! My God! Why have you abandoned me?” He was at that darkest, most despairing, most shocking and unbearable moment, suffering the ultimate consequence of sin (my sin / your sin) experienced in the total abandonment of, and separation from, Abba Father. This single, momentary experience was far more agonizing than the previous three hours of darkness and judgement, added to the three hours of regular crucifixion experienced prior, combined with the preceding torture at the hands of the Romans and the initial betrayal and humiliation at the hands of His own people who had violently and cruelly rejected Him, falsely accused Him, had Him illegally tried, illegally tortured and then illegally murdered. Jesus cried out, not in physical agony, but in the deepest agony that soul and spirit could possibly experience … the agony and desolation of total and complete separation from God. And in the same moment, His suffering being at last complete, and our ransom having been fully paid, the judgement ceased. The darkness of Gods’ total absence (in judgement & punishment), preceded by the darkness that had accompanied His presence (in judgement) was then immediately lifted, and the light of His presence in ‘restored fellowship’ returned. The debt had been paid in full, the ordeal was over … It was finished. Watch: ua-cam.com/video/XipkYbNOcy/v-deo.html 888AussieMate
Jesus cry was also his acting as Rabbi sending all present and following to Psalm 22, which at that time was not yet identified as Palm 22 so he called out the beginning of the passage which was written in first person narrative of Jesus' suffering on the cross.
I'm sorry but MILLIONS suffered and died by crucifixion. Jesus was not an anomaly in that regard. This man has never touched or seen the actual shroud.
Not sure what your point is, Larry. Many of those who have seen and touched/examined the Shroud make similar conclusions to what Dr. McQuaid is proposing here - he cites several in his own research. Furthermore, though countless people suffered crucifixion, the ONLY record we have in all of history for someone undergoing all of the specific injuries depicted on the Shroud image is Jesus (i.e. crown of thorns, extent of scourging, plucked beard, lance wound in side, no broken bones, etc.)
The Dr. Said " if I make it to heaven".....if he ( or anyone) is Born Again as per John 3 and 1 Corinthians 15, he will be in heaven. No works needed. No praying to Mary or dead people etc. The true Saving Gospel is simple yet transformative. God bless. Good works follow salvation. What Christ did was Complete. I see a great deal of guilt and uncertainty from Roman Catholics which is not necessary. You can be SURE. The Holy Spirit gives you the assurance of salvation ❤.
The reason he says this is due to the fact that we are to persevere to the end (Hebrews 10:36, 1 Peter 5:8). Just because one is Christian does not mean he will enter Heaven. We are "born again" at Baptism, but as well, we must abide in Christ until we suffer bodily death.
@ZacharyCatholic you are Roman Cath. I am Biblical Messianic. I trust what Scriptures say, not traditions or add ons , forbidden by the last chapter of Revelation. Where is Pope or Vicar of Christ in the Scriptures? Or purgatory? Or confessing to anyone except Jesus Yeshua.......they are NOT in the Scriptures, but man made tradition long after the 1st century . Seek and you will find. Matthew 6.
@@joinjen3854 I can answer those questions. But first, you *did not* acknowledge my references to the Scriptures that I offered in refutation of your understanding of one being "born again". Please do so and explain how those passages do not contradict your belief that being "born again" results in automatic salvation that cannot be lost. As well, and just as you have alluded to, I would propose that you are in fact a part of a "tradition" that is following a false gospel. This goes to show that we must analyze the arguments at hand rather than to base our conclusions of a mere biases.
@@ZacharyCath false gospel from a Roman Catholic? Please do not make me laugh. RCC has been continually adding from 300AD to now. I will answer more later but salvation is CHRIST alone. He is more than sufficient. I cannot add to the Perfect act He did to cover sin.
@@ZacharyCath OK, I like the Hebrews verse about Endurance but it has little to do with salvation. We are told to ENDURE TO THE END. ( not works.....taking up our cross daily). 1 Peter 5:8 is being wary of the roaring Lion roaming about whom he may devour. Satan infiltrated churches in the 1st century ( maybe Judas as a 1st?) and has caused splits and divisions. The Gospel is simple. Believe. Receive. Repent. Follow. Go read all the simple instructions of Jesus in the red letters. 2 main Commandments. FOLLOW ME and I will make you a fisher of men. No cathedrals. NO hierarchy other than Father Son and Holy Spirit. FEED My sheep. Super simple. Works follow out if our love not as a condition of salvation. No praying to any human. No purgatory. No Indulgences. Those are all man made long after the Bible was written. Jesus taught from the Torah and Old Testament. The New was finished by the 2nd century and before the Papacy started around 313 AD. The original "church" was 100% Galileans, around 33 AD....no Roman's. No Pope's. Etc. That is history. Jesus has NEVER needed our help to save us. It is Him drawing us to Him.

@@TheGraciousGuest Well that's just it. I prefer that you don't speak, going on and on, and actually let the person that the video was advertising (' The Medical Examiner ') , speak.

Yea, I also don't agree with certain things that the Dr. says either, such as Jesus was a jew killed by non jews. That's absolutely incorrect. Either this doctor knows what he's saying is a lie or he simply doesn't know the bible.
And even if the doctor has a medical reason for all of his distraction then either he or the host has a responsibility to inform the audience up front.
In a well-attended press conference on October 13, Cardinal Ballestrero announced the official results, i.e. that radio-carbon testing dated the shroud to a date of 1260-1390 AD, with 95% confidence. The official and complete report on the experiment was published in Nature.[1] The uncalibrated dates from the individual laboratories, with 1 standard deviation errors (68% confidence), were as follows: Tucson: 646 ± 31 years; Oxford: 750 ± 30 years; Zürich: 676 ± 24 years old; the unweighted mean was "691 ± 31 years", which corresponds to calibrated ages of "1273-1288 AD" with 68% confidence, and "1262-1312, 1353-1384 AD cal" with 95% confidence. As reported in Nature, Anthos Bray of the Instituto di Metrologia 'G. Colonetti', Turin, "confirmed that the results of the three laboratories were mutually compatible, and that, on the evidence submitted, none of the mean results was questionable."[1]
The paper was never properly peer-reviewed should be mentioned as they never released the full documentation, which we found out just recently. Just take a look at the names in the heading of the Nature paper. Since when are peer-reviewed papers peer-reviewed by those involved in the original testing? Very questionable if not dubious. The first thing that caught my eye is the fact they didn't follow any protocols which were set early on. As an example the number of various samples to be taken from different areas of the Shroud-They didn't do so, and took only one sample from a "KNOWN" contaminated area of the Shroud. How did they know the area was contaminated? STURP had taken various photos of the area using different light spectrometry methods and one can see clearly the area was contaminated. Why is the question. The 1988 carbon testing was and is false, anyone who doesn't believe so is not only ignorant but naive.
It was like *18 years ago* that Dr. Ray Rogers, a scientist at Los Alamos National Scientific Laboratories in New Mexico, *proved* that the carbon testing was done in error as the sample taken was from non-original part of the Shroud. The Shroud of Turin is 2000 years old.
I have seen him, in his resurrected spirit body. Those of us that have seen him, KNOW it’s real, no speculation. You can spread lies based on the assumptions of others, then yourself, but the truth is, you have no idea, and are just going off of another persons word to affirm your assumption.
Michael Kowalski from the British Society for the Turin Shroud will be on in September to address a lot of the problems with Nature and the process of publishing the carbon dating results. Stay tuned!
The results showed that the famous cloth did not date back to the time of Christ's crucifixion in the first century A.D. In fact, the cloth seemed to have been manufactured sometime between 1260 and 1390 A.D. Yes it is a fake!
Your ignorance is not to be denied. You need a LOT more education. Over 18 years ago Dr. Raymond N. Rogers, a scientist at Los Alamos National Scientific Laboratories in New Mexico *proved* that the carbon testing was done in error as the sample taken was from non-original part of the Shroud. Yes it's genuine!!
I have seen him, in his resurrected spirit body. Those of us that have seen him, KNOW it’s real, no speculation. You can spread lies based on the assumptions of others, then yourself, but the truth is, you have no idea, and are just going off of another persons word to affirm your assumption.
They tested a repaired portion of the cloth that was cotton. They were wrong and it has been proven. It has been re-tested and it is from the time of Jesus. It’s all over the place right now.
Wow & that shows how lazy u r. If you had researched a bit you'd know that whole carbon testing they did was on a cut piece that was already a previous repair & that repair piece was dated from midevil times, but the Shroud WAS dated to first century. This has been proven. If u believe it's a fake then why can't it be replicated even with today's technology? I challenge u to research it, & not just say u did.
Interesting but not Jesus. Observant Jews of Jesus time had SHORT hair (Paul & John). Secondly, the Romans tore out Jesus beard as a degradation and as described in Isaiah. Finally, God would not allow such a relic to survive because adoration of it would be a sin against the 2nd Commandment. Plain reading of the Bible would suggest that the fabricators of the Shroud had not done proper Biblical research.
When John 'saw and believed' a better translation of what he saw- the cloths lying- is he saw the cloths lying flat. As in, the body had dematerialized and the cloth fell flat. And that is why he believed in the ressurection, not because the tomb was empty. The body could have been STOLEN. The image would be on the inside of the flattened cloth, and only discovered later. I like to think the image was discovered by the two Marys, as they were stretching it between them to fold it up after the days end, in the candle light.
@boem3021, Then you will really appreciate reading the Suffering of Jesus which was published in the Major Journals of Medicine.

Luke 1:46-55 @@floydiandreamscapes5145 And Mary said,
“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
for he has looked with favor on the lowliness of his servant.
Surely, from now on all generations will call me blessed;
for the Mighty One has done great things for me,
and holy is his name.
His mercy is for those who fear him
from generation to generation.
He has shown strength with his arm;
he has scattered the proud in the thoughts of their hearts.
He has brought down the powerful from their thrones,
and lifted up the lowly;
he has filled the hungry with good things,
and sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel,
in remembrance of his mercy,
according to the promise he made to our ancestors,
to Abraham and to his descendants forever.”
Some 20yrs later I turned on the TV and the History Channel was showing the face of the Shroud. Without knowing the topic of the show, I immediately knew that was the face of Jesus. He has a boxy face so don't let that part fool you.
What is a boxy face?
@ronnieingle1447 not effeminate but a masculine face.
Thank you for sharing your experience. I'd be very very interested to hear more about what He looked like if you're ok to divulge that info.
You said that really nicely, Charles Miller6281. Thank you for expressing that so well.

This interview did mention that briefly. I think they didn't go into it more deeply because the scope of the interview is what Jesus suffered.

Incredible! Thanks to you both for the stunning and sobering information.
Yes, a supernatural event humans cannot replicate.
A nuclear physicist has just proven it was by radiation and that it is real. Rucker i think was his name. Hes on You tube.

As a retired surgeon who is not a Christian, there is no doubt in my mind that the Shroud is “authentic” in that it IS the burial wrapping of Jesus.
There are two factors that cause me confusion:
I do not understand how he could have survived the scourging. Most everyone experiencing this would die of hypovolemic shock.
Secondly, it is very difficult and painful for me to look at his image during his death process. If you are not a surgeon, it is impossible to understand the actual pain and suffering he endured.
It is unimaginable.

Have you drawn up a thesis or submitted a paper on your assumptions?

I'm not going to debate it with you, so I'll just leave you with some facts & food for thought:

I am quite sure they do not contain images. Also what other person in history would have been adorned with a crown of thorns???
So does this mean the Shroud wasn't fully wrapped with side strips as Dr. John Jackson has suggested in his video? Also, wouldn't Nicodemus know how to properly bury another Jewish person?
BTW, If anyone happens to be in the NYC area, about 15 miles west on Rt. 3 in N.J. there is a Catholic church known as the Holy Face Monastery that is dedicated to the Holy Shroud. It is open to anyone who is interested and who may wish to visit.
Wow, no way! I wasn’t aware of that.
One hypothesis is that Jesus passed through the wrapped Shroud leaving it intact as it was just before the tomb was sealed.
How can this guy smile and giggle throughout his description of the death of Yeshua Adonai 😢
Jesus suffered the most horrific torture for our sake and I so love and respect him
Great but would be better if the Dr. didn’t chuckle so much at beginning
Interesting but best listened at 2x speed😅
I believe that the cloth was definitely a burial shroud for a living human man.
I don’t believe that it’s any sort of forgery.
I’m interested to know the exact blood type that is on the cloth.
I understand that it’s an AB type?
It would also be interesting to know the “purity” of the blood.
And your belief or faith is all Jesus left the Shroud behind to do, foster faith. Because no amount of hard evidence convinces a hardened heart. Let them go to hell. We WON'T...because we BELIEVE.
I have seen him in his resurrected spirit body. The Shroud is authentic.
How? Elaborate……
@@benjimanleeit is in a photo I took, when homeless, living in my car. When I was praying way more than usual. His resurrected spirit body, is hard to describe. In the photo though, is a mix of attributes from the Shroud and the Prince of peace painting. For example, he has the hair from the painting, but eyes from the shroud. Clothing from the shroud. Certain “articles” let’s call them, on the shroud around him, are also in the photo. He’s only visible from his waist up, from the ground up, and is huge compared to a normal human. They all are. The photo lead me to discover the shroud and painting. Also in two other photos, are what I believe to be Jacobs ladder, and angels ascending and descending . The angels, are also hard to describe, but look like spiritual, organic, machines. For lack of better words. I don’t remember the experience, but remember the place I took the photos, and they are of the subjects I was photographing at the time, in the sky.
Not a spirit body. He proved that he ingested fish.A spirit connot. He was a fully person of substance with a new definite resecterrected but fully RECOVERED IF DEFFERENT.
@ciphergrey6298 very interesting indeed.
@@PaeataClarkBeing spirit isn't an equation to death. They aren't the same thing. Being spirit is without flesh. It doesn't mean he doesn't have a body. It's just not made of flesh.

?
when they took Him down from the Cross how did they get the nails out of his wrists/feet ? Did they have to hammer them out from behind ?
Great question
I guess St. John had to do all that. Poor St. John.
Good question, they probably struggled with that.
I believe it was Joseph of Arimathea & Nicodemus who took our Lord's Body down from the Cross. Yes, from what I've learned, one was behind on a ladder with pincers to bend the nails out straight, and the other had a sheet under His Arms to lower Him down, to then be placed in the arms of our Sorrowful Lady. My Jesus, Mercy!
So funny! Me, too. Derby, NY
Very informative Thank you. The only question I have is some of the inappropriate laughter that your guest had while he gave us his Bio. Maybe nervous? He is obviously highly trained, and I mean no offense, I am only curious.
This is a quote from the book of Romans:
“Christ is the culmination of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes…
Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.”But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’”(that is, to bring Christ down) “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’”[that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
The man of the shroud
I heard a professor of medicine explaining the immediate cause of death being a ruptured artery leading to the shoulder. The blood that spurted out after the soldier’s spear punctured his chest came from this rupture. Padre Pio stigmata said his shoulder pain was the most painful. Falling the third time injured Jesus’s shoulder so badly his could no longer carry the cross.
It hurts me every time I think of what Yeshua Adonai went through for us…and to compound that He is The Son of God who did this huge sacrifice for us…wow it blows my mind. God didn’t need to do this. But He did because He loves us so much. ❤ always thank God for everything because we all don’t deserve anything, but He has given us eternal life with Him❤
Look closely at the feet
Jesus's left foot is on Top of His right foot with one nail going through the top of left foot then continuing through the top of right foot into the Cross with 1 nail

Thank you
I thought he said the front of the feet were not visible on the cloth.
Off topic but,..just curious. Is that Vader behind your left elbow?

In The Bible is the very clear requisite that not a bone of the Lamb of sacrifice was to be broken. Wouldn't the nails piercing His feet, break the bones in His ankles?
Not necessarily - the Romans were very precise with their methods of crucifixion.
From what I heard the cloth was a table cloth
I’ve heard that before, too, but I haven’t been able to really get any hard proof of that.

Have you read what Jesus said to the people gathered around Him when his mother and brothers were outside the house and wanted to see Him? He said Who is my mother sisters and brothers, but those who do the will of my Father. Pretty obvious He is saying do not bow down to my mother. She is fully human, NOT GODDESS! please stop exhalting her and other believers. All believers are saints made righteous by Jesus blood.

(Jesus' unimaginable suffering)
Eloi!

Sorry, this guy has tried to make it more complicated
@@heatherwade2373I think he's saying they crucified more than the population. Maybe time warp or something.

In a well-attended press conference on October 13, Cardinal Ballestrero announced the official results, i.e. that radio-carbon testing dated the shroud to a date of 1260-1390 AD, with 95% confidence. The official and complete report on the experiment was published in Nature.[1] The uncalibrated dates from the individual laboratories, with 1 standard deviation errors (68% confidence), were as follows:
Tucson: 646 ± 31 years;
Oxford: 750 ± 30 years;
Zürich: 676 ± 24 years old;
the unweighted mean was "691 ± 31 years", which corresponds to calibrated ages of "1273-1288 AD" with 68% confidence, and "1262-1312, 1353-1384 AD cal" with 95% confidence.

The results showed that the famous cloth did not date back to the time of Christ's crucifixion in the first century A.D. In fact, the cloth seemed to have been manufactured sometime between 1260 and 1390 A.D. Yes it is a fake!

See also the university o Padua research. The re carbon- dating detail concerning the age of the cloth ,and contents revealed therein.
