From what I've seen from the sim racing channels on UA-cam (and some not so sim channels) Forza Motorsport was one of the most disappointing entries in the entire series. And certainly not worthy of a #1 spot on a best of list. But, what do I know lol
Maybe on Xbox Series X it runs well but I installed on release on PC (3080, 12700K etc) and it was really bad....maybe Microsoft sponsored this video or they have fixed the game
Runs great on my 9700/2600 at 1080p and was easily one of the best games of the year. It got hate from gamers who want every release in a franchise to be EXACTLY the same as the previous one only better. Which shows you how mature they are.

I don´t really know about racing games, I do however played NFS most wanted or midnight club dub edition in xbox and forza horizon 5 for a bit, and the moment I tried one race in forza motorsport, I was like why am I finding this so bad from even the begining, and went to steam scores to check and all mixed up review or negs, so as a non expert in racing games I found it not enjoyable since even the menu.
