      @@makevelicustoms This can't be understated. UA-cam is a sales and marketing platform. People with lots of subs have either built their brand on entertainment or selling something. Many times those go hand-in-hand. I know there are exceptions to this, but if your brand is spitting facts, the huddled masses are less likely to subscribe in huge numbers.

    I picked up a Tango6T with the horseshoe reticle about two years ago to replace my EoTech VUDU that I was using for 3-gun. I ended up loving it so much I went out and bought anothet one for my "fighting rifle". Reticle is plenty bright in 1 power, i can make consistent hits at 400 under match conditions, eye relief is forgiving, and its been durable enough I have no worries about chucking my rifle in a dump box. 100% agree with you on this review

      I looked through one of the Tango 6 scopes a week or so ago. And damn it was crispy. The store had a Razor 1-6 as well so I was able to do a direct comparison. The clarity on the two was equal as far as I could tell. The only real difference is 1st focal plane vs 2nd and the Razor body just melts away. The sig wasn’t bad though.

    I lucked out and bought the 2 Gen Tango 6T, German reticle and grayish/blue color, in May of 2019...around the same time the Army named the Tango 6T as their contract winner. Lucky because it was +/- $750.00 and at the time I felt (and still do) that it was comparable to the Vortex 1-6 Razor E. Build quality, glass, turrets, throw lever, same as Army version. Just different color and reticle. Glad you drop tested it so I don't have to.

    Mil-spec is weird. You can sneeze in its general direction and it breaks, or you can yeet it off the side of a mountain and not even scratch the paint. Not a whole lot of in between.

    • @LRRPFco52
      @LRRPFco52 3 роки тому +2

      The Mil-Std technical data and requirements are very misunderstood. The arctic conditions and sand/dust/humidity/heat tests are extremely difficult to meet. Most manufacturers are unaware of them and don’t care, as long as they continue to sell look-alike imitations to the public and LE with the best margins to be able to stay in business. All of it is easier said than done, including the low end business model.

  • @DanielBoone337
    @DanielBoone337 3 роки тому

    I'm glad you said it because you always hear people throw out the term Mil-Spec or the phrase the military uses it like that's what makes a product the holy grail or best of the best. In my experience a lot of the time it just means you're about to spend a $h!t load of money for a specialized piece of gear that in the civilian market you can find better or more useful gear for a lot less money. That said I have one of the Tango6 3-18×44 (which I spent a $h!t load of money for) and a couple of the Tango4 4-16×44 optics that I use on my precision rifles and I also run the the Romeo 5 XBR dots on 5 different rifles so far I've had pretty good luck with Sig optics.

    • @joemo1033
      @joemo1033 3 роки тому

      At this point, if you aren't subbed, you probably dont see his videos.
      Thats how they remove parts of the user base they don't want. And also how they attempt to control the public narrative. Whatever that may be this week.
      So you can be subbed to someone with 10k subs, that in a fair ecosystem would be as big pewd.
      Imo you should be judged based on your total channels subbed to # vs their total sub #s. Hahaha

    I'll bet you miss those PWS uppers when suppressing! I have tons of experience with all types of rifles and the PWS is an impressive beast. Along with LWRC and POF they are incredible external piston rifles esp for suppressed shooting.
    Certain DI guns built specifically for suppressing (correctly ported barrels and buffer system) work well but again, it seems that the external piston is better to suppress with standard baffle style cans. With newer tech cans there is mo reason to go piston over DI (OSS, Acadian pantera, larue etc)

    I haven't considered Sig for anything save weapons, and my last was a 226 Navy Seal in 1988 and recent P365's. But, now they have my interest.
    When I drop any weapon, my primary concern is damage affecting safe usage and accidental discharges, not cosmetic device damage. I can always replace anything that is cosmetically unappealing, but a device that no longer works due to gravity will never be replaced with like-kind in my collection. Durability and reliability are my priority.

    Late, but the dvo reticle is in fact different than the reticle you have in that optic. Same lwr6 concept just pulled in a bit for 5.56. The dwlr6 is made for the m118lr 7.62. With heavier grain 5.56 rounds out of a 14.5 or longer it matches up pretty well so it will work. 7.62 and 5.56 are one in the same damned near when it comes to ballistics out to 550-600 yards.

    I’d love to see a Romeo 4T review. I’m looking at getting one for my MCX but can’t find a good test.

    Have you considered a higher ammo preservation approach to testing, such as strapping the scope to a paint shaker?

    Quick question, after some research it appears the DWLR6 was designed for m118lr 7.62 cartridge. However, I noticed it’s basically the same as the other horseshoe dot recipe, but with wind holds. Can you confirm what round the holds are meant for?

    Would you consider the illumination to be sufficient in bright sunlight?

    Aaron would you use this over the newer rds+magnifier options like the eotech g43 or the trijicon or vortex options?

    I love your videos! Can you do one about a suppressed 6.8 spc 2 SBR? I have been doing a lot of research, it seems that the 6.8 spc 2 is the jack of all roles but the master of none.

    @sagedynamics I'm trying to decide between this optic and a Vortex Razor Gen II E for a 14.5 multi purpose rifle with an offset red dot. Anything to consider or would make you choose one out the other?

    18:30 -- So no damage to the optic? We never did get to see the inside of the optic after the drop tests, just that it held zero.

    But it is part of Aron's test.....just a bit impressed!

    Curious about your sim house. What material are you using for your walls to cover the 2x4s? Any reason for it over plywood? Soon to be building a sim house is there any recommendations you would make? Thanks Aaron and great video

    Aaron - did you notice any illumination bleeding into the other parts of the reticle instead of only on the center dot? Mine has illumination bleeding worse than my Trijicon Accupower did. It's not noticeable outside in the sun but when you aim into a more dimly lit or dark area it is very noticeable
