Mines in jail, too. But my FFL is also a range, so I can shoot it while it’s in jail. Mine is fine, a little gassier than an RC2, but i also got it for almost half the price of a surefire. I’ve only put a few hundred rounds through it though. Hopefully yours is ok!

A 13.7 with a nox on a non free float barrel that uses the same metal as most other manufacturers uses a decent barrel that’s not on par with DD or Geissele with a inferior rail shouldn’t be anywhere near them on price. The Solgw barrel is like a $200 barrel from ballistic advantage. Some cool guys know how to turn a wrench and pay influencers. It’s over priced. It’s not rocket science to assemble a ar. I can go on gunbroker and find a better rifle for much cheaper in ten seconds.

Purchased a Colt 6920 LE in this configuration. Swapped out the Magpul handguards for a Troy quad rail since I'm partial to quad. Basically the same rifle.
I don’t see the value here. From what I can find, this rifle costs nearly $1500. Why wouldn’t you just buy a BCM and get a quality aluminum hand guard and a full rail on top for the same money? Not to mention BCM is a much more proven company being as they’ve been making guns for over 30 years whereas this company just popped up in 2014. If these were sub $1000, I could maybe see it.
Pretty much a LOT of people's first rifles now are going to be PSAs because of the sales that has been going on. My current poverty build is a mid-length from PSA with a Nickel born BCG from them.
@@gera2396 shorter barrel is the big one. A 13.7 vs a full 16". 16" is fine, but the pinned barrel just handles and points better, especially in snug situations or with a can.
This is exactly what I wanted to do to my patrol sl. The fsb is definitely a vibe. Have a gen1 REIN full size with a tape switch up top and a t2 on top of a scalarworks 1.97 leap

Also if someone gets this rifle and wants NV in the future. You can always cut the delta ring off and use the GI barrel nut and replace the magpul handguard with a MI 2 piece free float rail or a centurion 2 piece rail.
Or you could just buy a BCM for the same or less money and already have a full hand guard with pic rail and not have cut your gun up and replace a bunch of parts 🤷♂️
my first and primary Rifle is a pinned 14.5 mid-length BCM with MOE handguards. Everything you need and nothing you don't. I'd also add that the plastic Magpul handguards are much more pleasant to hold after shooting a few magazines.
Wait wait wait. I checked this video mainly to see what was said about the trigger. For a new build I'm looking at getting the SOLGW single stage, which is cheaper than the Larue. But their own "simple jack" rifle uses a more expensive third party trigger? They don't even put their own simple trigger on their own simple rifle? I think that made my decision.
These days yes but I got a 3 digit serial number from their first year in business and it has a centurion barrel and slr handguard and still shoots great but I’ve learned they did away with the old barrels
I own a Wilson Combat AR, Blackout Defense, a Daniel Defense, a couple BCMs and my brother has a SOLGW rifle and I can assure you, it is every bit worth what I paid for my over priced guns too. I also own an M&P15, Ruger 5.56, and a DelTon and with the exception of the DelTon there is a major difference between the two sets of extremes. The DelTon has been my one major way above expectations in the AR15 platform. The gun and cost of the gun do not make the shooter, but the quality of those parts, yep, there's a difference.

A Magpul equipped colt is 1,200. The patrol SL is $1,240. This comes with a Larue MBT and a chrome BCG and a NOX which would cost you over $400 to add to the colt. I'd bet the SOLGW ends up being a better value and a better rifle for most users.

Still quality rifles, due to them giving their outsource manufacturers exacting specs and conducting their own QC. Colt also uses exacting specs for the outsourced parts that go into their rifles, and also still practice the QC they’ve always had, making sure all their rifles are properly staked, proper materials and dimensions are used, etc. hell, Mike’s told people that Colt has been always the standard that SOLGW started with and aimed to both meet and exceed. both Colt and SOLGW are solid, let’s not get it twisted
I guess what I call budget and what you call budget is the same as Day and night. 1,500.00 must be well beyond budget for me. I fact that's starting to get into top of the line money as I see it. As we all know now days there's rifle manufacturers and there's rifle builders that sale rifles. From what I understand SOLGW is more of a manufacture producing a lot of in house parts. Even at that for me that's a hard pill to swallow with the gun market being over loaded and many dropping prices or running sales.
I think I could justify some of the cost in that they inspect every single part rather than inspect just a couple of samples from each batch. Also that lifetime warranty on every part is pretty sweet.

REIN is outclassed nowadays and scalarworks is not a good mount. Look at C1 1.93"

I'll always prefer the aesthetics and benefits of a full mlok rail, but this is still a nice rifle that I'd never get rid of.

Why does it matter? PSA now makes a lot of their own parts, doesn’t mean that they make a rifle equal to better manufacturers than them.
All brands use parts manufactured by someone else. There’s not a company out there machining their entire product muzzle to butt.

You can basically make this exact set up minus the expensive red dot from PSA. A Mid length with the same SL handguard, magpul rear and a SIG Romeo 5
