If you feel like you’re drinking a lot of water and then just peeing it out you probably are drinking too much water all at once. Your body can only use so much water at one time and it’s going to get rid of the rest. The key is to drink small amounts many times throughout the day. That way your body always has the right amount.
My mother once told me about 'water therapy' which means drink one/two glass water every 2 hours throughout the day. It doesn't work well w me coz i tend to pee all day n it bothersome. BUT!! I found my own way to rehydrate my skin which i started w drink 1 glass of water right after i woke up then prepare this huge 2lt bottle, fill it w mineral water, carrying it everywhere, n every time i feel like thirsty, or fell a little sour on my mouth, or start to licking my lips, i drink a little. Maybe just 2-3 gulps. In average about 2-3 gulps every half an hour i guess? And it works really well for me. Finishing the same amount of water with my mother's method, but much less peeing throughout the day. Like my body could really absorb all of the water little by little. Been doing this for almost 3 weeks now n yet it changes a lot to my oily-dehydrated-acne prone skin. Will continue doing it since it also makes my body feel more refreshed n less fatigue. P.S: i still drink other beverages like tea, coffee or even carbonated drinks! But eventually my body doesn't crave them as much as i like before i started this therapy.

I've been doing skincare the last 2 years. Only time I can tell that my skin looks better is when I wear makeup which I only wear 2-3 times a month. I'd like to know if my skin is healthy. I'm oily but I've always had decent skin (genes) but I'd like to know if I'm progressing toward healthy.
Susan Yara I am very curious about Mario Badesco skin care. I use the peptide renewal cream, buttermilk moisturizer. & the CeraVe hydrating cleanser. thats all. I don't hear much about it. would love to by Susan.
Realizing that my skin was dehydrated despite being more on the oily side was a massive game changer for me. It made such a difference in the way I treat my skin.

I heard that the origin of “alkaline water” was that scientists found mineral rich water to be very beneficial, and that the minerals made the water more alkaline. People took this to mean that the water was beneficial because it was alkaline, rather because if its high mineral content. Basically if you want the benefits of “alkaline water,” drink water that’s mineral rich, not water that’s been electrically or chemically treated to have a higher pH.
Susan Yara yep, dehydrated and acne prone skin is very often deficient in zinc, selenium and magnesium. Taking these minerals is helpful, but it’s easier for the body to absorb the minerals when they’re dissolved in water or extracted from food. Dark greens like kale have these minerals in them, and eggs are high in zinc. I’m currently researching the best ways to absorb these minerals... Btw I’m a huge fan!!
Yes, fine lines are usually because of dehydration, esp. on younger people. Thanks for talking about too much botox way too soon. Dry skin also needs hydration before moisturizer. That’s why Korean skin care routine works so well both on dry and dehydrated skin. Dry skin also needs hydrating toner/essence (like Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner on damp skin), hydrating fragrance free serum (Hyaluronic acid or Peptid serum). And then good moisturizer to seal all that hydration on the skin. For example Cos RX Honey Overnight Mask and La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra Nigt work wery well w dry/sensitive skin.
Robbie Curbo My faves are Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Water Essence and Iunik Vitamin Hyaluronic Acid Vitalizing Toner. Iunik is more like moisturizing, soothing essence than toner. Great for dry/dehydrated/sensitive skin. And Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner Plus is also super hydrating essence/toner. All are made from good, clean ingredients and fragrance and cruelty free 😘
Do you have fine lines in the inner corner eyes area? Is it because dehydrated skin too? I just can't seems to get rid of it no matter of how many eye cream i put in there.
Hey Susan! Maybe you could do this for oily skin and dehydrated skin?? I’ve been told several times that actual only skin isn’t as common as people think
Ay Macarena Hi! Susan’s description and advice for dehydrated skin totally work for oily skin as well! 😊 Because, like she said, dehydrated skin is a skin condition that can happen to all skin types.
Ay Macarena if you find you’ve got a lot of oil production try adding in Niacinamide to help regulate sebum production. I added into my routine and it has changed my skin
I use to have hella oily skin, but I realized it was because it was incredibly dehydrated and producing more oil to compensate. Now that I have an actual skincare routine with a good moisturizer, my skin makes less oil! Still glowy, but not a disco ball.
When I figured out I had dehydrated skin (as well as dry skin), my life changed. I couldn't understand why I was breaking out and still had serious flaky/textured skin when I was layering up the occlusives and oils and totally discounted those gel type moisturizers because I was like "there's no way those lightweight moisturizers are enough for me." Now I layer a HA essence and a gel-type hydrator under my heavier, moisturizing creams and my skin has NEVER BEEN BETTER. Also most of my acne went away because my poor skin was so thirsty it was trying to hydrate itself but overproduced sebum to do it.
Emiliana Chateau if you have fungal acne you would probably want to get that treated by an actual dermatologist but it can actually be treated with dandruff shampoo since it’s caused by the same fungi that causes dandruff

I’m 22 and have been seeing fine lines for about a year now. I break out more, thought I was getting rosacea, and many other things you listed for dehydrated skin including clogged pores. I wanna cry because I can’t believe this may have been my problem! Thank you so much for making this video, I learned so much!
Please remember that Good Genes by Sunday Riley isn't the same in the UK. The US version isn't licenced here, we have a Good Genes with glycolic acid instead xXx
LRP Toleriane Cleanser & CeraVe Night Cream has been awesome for my sensitive/dry/dehydrated skin. I would definitely avoid the other recommendations as they are loaded with sensitizing ingredients.

I travel 12 hour flights about once a year. I used to think I should clean my face and apply face masks/products on the flight to “take care” of myself. This time around, I took your advice and applied a crap top of product prior to boarding. I’m surprised the difference it made! My face didn’t feel tight and dry, and when I was finally able to wash my face, my skin was still relatively plump and juicy. :D thank you!
I have oily dehydrated skin a this Vichy Minerel 89 booster litteraly saved my skin... I've been using it for like a month now noticed a huuuge difference 😍😍
Weird opinion, but I high key love my dry skin because I enjoy the products for dry skin i think it's really satisfying to keep my skin moisturized with all the different gentle and moisturizing products
I've been struggling dehydrated skin for years and haven't been able to find too many recommendations for products to help counter it. This video was extremely informative and really helped me out :) Thanks so much Susan!
This couldn’t have come at a better time! I was literally looking for a new eye cream today because I’m starting to see more fine lines!! Makes so much sense since my skin has been very dehydrated since the cold weather kicked in. Thank you Susan!!
Yes, yes, yes!!! I've talked about this before on my blog after learning the difference myself. I'm pretty sure I have dry dehydrated skin because I have signs of both. If I quit using hyaluronic acid I start to look like a raisin and thick/heavy moisturizers work really well for me. I'm currently using REN's Overnight Recovery Balm and I can and do use it every night and I even add a few drops of Herbivore Emerald Oil to it because more is more with skin as dry as mine is. My favorite hyaluronic acid product that I've tried is the COSRX Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence, it's helped the most with my dryness fine lines out of everything that I've tried and you get a lot of product so it lasts a long time - I was using The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid before but I was going through about a bottle a month plus it made my makeup pill and the COSRX essence does not (unfortunately it's out of stock at Ulta right now and I wanted to buy it for me BFF for Christmas so hopefully it comes back soon!). Other things that could be causing dryness or dehydration that weren't mentioned are medications and medical conditions. I have Hashimoto's Disease + hypothyroidism so yay...even drier skin for me (and I think diabetes can make your skin dry depending on what type).
I can vouch for the humidifier. The difference it makes is incredible. My lips don't chap as bad and my skin isn't crusty. Make sure you get the right size for your house though. So many people complain that it doesn't work but that's because it's too small for whole house use.
8:25 Susan recommends people with dehydrated skin to avoid products with sheabutter or dimethicone. 9:13 Susan recommends Belif moisturising bomb cream which contains dimethicone. Me: Confused....^^;;
@@hyper.chick9 This is what I found out when I was like.. 10, so take it as a grain of salt but I'm pretty sure it's a type of silicone, most commonly found in make up primers to fill in pores, skin care moisturizers for better texture, and hair conditioners that surround the hair strand to make it seem shiny.
I always thought I had dehydrated skin so thank you for the confirmation, Susan! Never have I ever clicked so fast on a video haha but also for those who take certain medications, should keep in mind that they can be dehydrating on the body as well! I have ADHD and took medication throughout college. I stopped now that I graduated because I don't want to take medication anymore, but I remember alwayssss being thirsty after I took it. So make sure to hydrate folks 👍✌
Lol this video made me go chug a glass of water. I drink a whooping 1 glass of water a day, yet have the nerve to wonder why my skin cracks like a sand pit. Sigh.
So I have dry skin sometimes dehydrated. I used to use coconut oil and olive oil to take off my makeup and never had any break out 😂 yeah I stopped using them and started using cleansing balm and cleansing oil. And oh boy a cool mist humidifier is my skin saver , I have it on every night and I don’t suffer from dry throat any more
All my life I've had very oily skin, prone to acne breakouts. Then one day about a year ago it just drastically changed for no apparent reason and became very dry, I've even had a few eczema breakouts. Since then I've been in a constant battle against my skin to try and keep it balanced, which I've been losing more and more as the weather gets colder. I didn't know there was a difference between dry and dehydrated, and now it definitely seems like I'm more dehydrated. This video was very helpful, thank you!
Susan: eye creams are just a marketing ploy by the cosmetic industry and you should be getting what need in an eye cream in your moisturizer. Susan: try this eye cream. She's taught us so much that we can read through the ad. This isn't a criticism, it's a compliment ❤
I used Dove soap as my face wash and my face was iritated every time I washed it so finaly realized it is because of dove's fragrance. Uriage D. S. emulsion is holy grale for dehydrated /iritated skin. It is water based formula ☺
Aren’t there new FTC laws out that state you need to make it very clear when you are advertising a product? It seems a little strange how you were SOOO into the Belif stuff. But didn’t say that it was an Ad. I had to scroll to the very bottom of the description page to find it. I trust you and your channel a lot. I just wanted to give constructive criticism about how it seems.
Kelsey the FTC disclosure is in the description. That’s where I always check when I feel like a videos an ad because they gave to legally put it in the info box.
Shazy I said that in my comment... The new FTC laws are saying you need to make it very clear when something is an AD. She didn’t mention it at all and put something at the very bottom of the description. We may notice something is an ad. But not everyone does. The belif creams are against everything she usually stands for , fragrance, no eye creams, etc. Yet she is shilling them. Makes me not trust her as much. But thanks! I did see it in the description, as said in my original comment 😊
Kelsey I did not even notice the ad part at the VERY BOTTOM of the description box, ty for pointing it out!! I get that she needs to get her coin but it is really shady to do an ad this way, I am disappointed tbh
dead giveaway was her mentioning eyecream (when she does reviews of night time routines she always says oh eye creams are a gimmick) - so i scrolled down and boom my suspicions were right
This was the video I needed to see, literally life changing for my acne prone skin. So I used the true belief bomb last year, I quickly jumped off of it because it broke me out so bad and I completely forgot about that product, fast forward to now it make my skin the happiest organ in my body!!! I think I had a bad reaction to the moisturizer because I was using cetaphil foaming(bad) face wash in combination. The two products didn’t chemically mesh well together is my conclusion as to why I stopped the true belief cream in the first place last year.... Now moving on from the cetaphil brand after 7 years of use my skin is better off with out it! The hydrating helps wash she talks about in the video with the combination of the true belief cream has had a wonderful effect on my dry/oily/dehydrated/reactive/acne prone skin. (Yeah my skin is way to crazy!) Thank you Susan for this video, my skin feels new
This has been so helpful. I did exactly what was said 'striped my oily skin'. I over did it with the ordinary skin products and I had a feeling it's dehydrated as I'm fasting. And I never had dry skin.
Everyone always talk about oily and dry skin but rarely people talk about normal skin which doesnot beakout much or irretate or anything i dont know the best stuff for my skin type so i hope you talk about it♥️
I have both, yay......Thanks for the video there are not enough things about dry skin, particularly with acne which you cover in a lot of your videos. The stereotype is that acne prone people are all oily but that is not the case. But yah I have been dry since I was a baby, I know for sure I am a dry skin type. And then in the winter I get extra dehydrated as well.
Don’t forget that dehydrated skin can also be caused my hormonal and chemical imbalances. For example, I have normal skin and never had any problems, but ever since I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism I’ve been more prone to dehydrated skin. Sometimes the external factors are internal physical conditions.
Yes I’ve noticed ever since I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I’m done to more dehydrated skin with having oily skin already and it is messing up my skin.. I’m getting sudden acne breakouts and don’t know what to do
Sofia N Lomba Guzman i actually found out that I have hashimoto because of my extreeeeemely dehydrated skin. I was using everything to moisturize it and it still would be flaky and crusty. So I went to the doctor and found out I have hashimoto.
This helped me so much. I have always thought I had dry skin but now I know it’s just dehydrated skin. I have made changes and have seen the results.. Thank you!!!
I have dry skin and acne prone skin but also have dehydrated skin and I simplified my skincare routine with the La Roche Posay Toleriane Cream cleanser, Rosewater with Glycerin, and CeraVe moisturizering cream. My skin got so congested so I added exfoliating. Even with having dry skin I feel like I need to balance chemical and physical exfoliation. Ik some people don't like physical exfoliation but when I balance both, that's when my skin looks best. It's so hard to find out what's causing my acne. Ik part of it is hormonal.
Yes! I have problem with my liver. I have fatty liver. It's actually painful. I drink water with lemon every day. It actually helps with the pain. It keeps me drinking it cause it tastes good. I also have very dry skin. My skin will hurt. Especially my forehead ares and cheeks. I will see little red lines on my cheeks. I am trying the skinfix. So far it feels really good.
The la roche posay gentle hydrating cleanser is everything I recently finished it and decided to try another cleanser bad choice I’m going back to the la roche one like I said it was everything 😭😘.
I totally agree with what you’ve said. I think ceramides were key for me when my skin was dehydrated and I’ve gotten into the snail mucin this past year and it’s amazing. I may try the humidifier at night because I’m Florida we get days that are cold and some that are hot during the “colder” months. 💜
Miracle product for dehydrated skin is Marie Veronique Barrier Restore Serum. From personal experience. Ah-mazing. It made me realize I have combo dehydrated skin when I was convinced I had dry skin.
I was literally just talking about this. I have been sick the past few days and the medicine I was taking sucked all the water out of my body. I could tell it first in my skin. I thought it was dry, but nothing worked. More water and washing my face once a day helped.
This video was super helpful! I put a post up on the group page and Nerida Joy was so sweet and gave me some awesome advice, so did a lot a other lovely people!
This was so helpful!! I've always had dry skin but suspected that it was dehydrated as well, and now I know for sure it is and what products to try. Thanks! 😊
My goodness thank you Susan. I understand my skin type and condition. Yes I have both because I eat clean and drink a 1.5 Lt bottle of water daily. But the tightness, quick absorption, superfine lines are a reality. I'm going to try out your recommendations. Thank you!
Humidifiers and vapourizers were a game changer for me! Living in a building, especially in winter, is extremely dry and was really drying out my skin and hair.
For the dehydrated people who are wondering, it is normal to pee more often when you start drinking more water than you normally do. Your body isn't used to the increased volume of water you're taking in. It sucks at first, but give it a month and you'll notice that you don't need to go every hour anymore. And you don't need to chug cups of water at a time of course, stick to regularly sipping on water and use a measured water bottle or cup to keep track of how much you're drinking throughout the day by the number of refills.
is it possible to have dehydrated AND dry skin? i have fine lines that reduce in appearance with a moisturizer, redness and sensitivity. but my face also feels tight in the morning and flakes in some places. what products would you recommend?
Most Ardently yes. In fact I hate the whole “dehydrated skin lacks water” “dry skin lacks oils” line because it’s huge over simplification. Dry skin almost always lacks hydration too because when you lack lipids, dehydration results.
Most definitely. My experience already as a teenager was that light moisturisers and products for oily skin didn't really do much at all - still weirdly greasy AND flakey. Things got much better when I swiped my 75yo grandma's facecream... lol. Then I swiped her tinted moisturizer (and I still use that to this day when I want some colour on my face). Then I just forgot about skincare for the next 20 years or so - maybe occasionally a super-heavy old-people night cream. What made me get interested in skin care again was 2 things: A friend gave me some hippy dippy unrefined shea butter, and on a whim I decided to buy a small bottle of Argan oil. The shea butter was amazing for my hands, especially for burns (I'm a klutz in the kitchen), but too hard to warm up enough to put all over my face. The Argan oil - oh my, something I can put on my face that instantly feels good! Now I've ventured into all kinds of stuff (niacinamid, matrixyl, lactic acid, SPF - even retinol and tretinoin), but I find myself going back to that Argan oil again and again. Reading and watching skin care stuff has sent me on a hunt for a good moisturizer, but so far I haven't found anything that I really really like. I'm really happy Susan adressed dry skin in this video - too many videos only talk about how dehydrated skin is not dry skin, and neglect to mention the signs that you really have dry skin. What's really weird is that putting oil on my skin makes it less "oily"; it makes my nose seem quite normal and not like an oil spigot in the middle of a desert.
These videos are so much fun to watch, and your expertise is very much appreciated because I love learning about the science behind skincare success. Thank you so much, Susan!
Thanks Susan! I tried tons of different oils to tread my oily-dehydratate skin. Now it’s just 5 days with this routine and it’s magic! I look younger, bright and nourish skin! REN discount code worked after 10 months and I also received an extra 50 ml travel size and a vitamins C trial for free. The verse serum was just $10 at Target, 50%off!. Now I wish a belief moisturizer for hair!. Now, looking for a cool mist humifier. I’m lost about it.
I see that sunday riley is in one of your recommendation list.. what do you think about the news that says that sunday riley forces their worker to write "nice reviews"? After that i became a little skeptical about that brand, not sure whether it really works or my other skin care that work.. Anyway the video is super helpful, thank you!
Jihan Azita i tried the sample from Sunday riley which it was vitamin c cream. I tried it only one night and it worked for me. It brightened up my skin tone and reduced my acne scars. But well only i tried once, the effect not that much but i could see the improvement
Hi Susan and Mixed Makeup team, I’d love to see a video reaction and skin care routine of someone with a true dry skin type. I see a lot of videos on oily skin and acne but I have really dry skin so it would be great to see more of that. Like this comment if you’re also dealing with dry skin! 👍🏼
Katrina J. Sigua Make up is a challenge with dry skin. If I try to exfoliate the flaking it only makes it worse. Moisturizers can cause rashes. How about you?
I like Belif products, they have worked really well for me in the past. I used to use the Aqua bomb moisturizer (different that the one Susan promoted) but I found out it had denatured alcohol as one of the top ingredients. They also have it in their hydrating toner which is not good lol. But I will say, I have like any of the products I've tried that don't have drying alcohols in them. The moisturizing eye bomb is the only eye cream I use. It's great under makeup. AND I have super oily skin but I easily get dry patches just under my eyes. My eyes are also pretty sensitive, and this is the one eye cream/moisturizer I've tried under my eyes that doesn't bother me. I love this video because I recently went through this whole ordeal too, and it happened the exact way you mentioned it! I was trying to clear my acne for so long, and I did, but it wow I needed to rehydrate quickly.
Great video! Mine is super dry but if I forget to get my half liter of water it will become dehydrated very fast. Lots of good info to start using. Thanks!
The Ordinary has a Lactic Acid 10% +HA for $6.80 (they have a 5% one also) the Good Genes one recommended here is $105. Just putting that out there for those who can't work the more expensive one in their budget.
Buy pH strips off Amazon-$7.95 200 count All Your products should be between 4.5 and 6.2. If you keep within that range your skins acid mantle will always be balanced! Those pH testing strips are the best investment ever.
Wow. What a revelation. I always thought I had normal to dry skin. But from watching this I don't identify with dry skin symptoms, but I totally identify with dehydrated skin symptoms. Is it possible to have normal dehydrated skin? I definitely don't have oily skin.
Hi Susan absolutely love your skincare videos. Could please do a whole morning and night skin care routine for dry skin like which products can be used together and which cannot . Pleaseeee
I can't say enough good things about this video! I know it sounds silly but over my life I have spent thousands on skin care but no matter what I did I always suffered with what I thought was genetically inherited dry skin, when in fact I just needed to drink more water, way more water 😳 So many people don't drink near enough water! It's still hard for me, I'm always trying to remind myself to HYDRATE! 💙💙💙
Thanks so much for this video! I always thought I had dry skin but at the beginning of the video I was like 'maybe I've been wrong all this time!' But then when you got to the dry skin part I was like 'yeah that's definitely me!' In fact, I used to use a coconut oil stick as a makeup primer and it looked great on my skin, never had any issues 😅

I visited the Volvic water offices in France a few years ago and they spoke of all the benefits of their mineral water. You could be right!
Susan Yara yep, dehydrated and acne prone skin is very often deficient in zinc, selenium and magnesium. Taking these minerals is helpful, but it’s easier for the body to absorb the minerals when they’re dissolved in water or extracted from food. Dry skin also needs hydration before moisturizer. That’s why Korean skin care routine works so well both on dry and dehydrated skin.

Mari thank you so very very much! I’ll look for those!
Robbie Curbo These are best I have tried so far. I hope you will love them too :)
Katie Chung I’m sure it does, I’m gonna pay more attention to mine for those signs! I just wonder why there’s the oil production difference
Yes!
Ay Macarena if you find you’ve got a lot of oil production try adding in Niacinamide to help regulate sebum production. I added into my routine and it has changed my skin
@harshinder kaur chawla Its james welsh. Robert does makeup and james does skincare
I use to have hella oily skin, but I realized it was because it was incredibly dehydrated and producing more oil to compensate. Now that I have an actual skincare routine with a good moisturizer, my skin makes less oil! Still glowy, but not a disco ball.
Same.
Could you share the products and routine you used to normalise your skin? I’m struggling to do the same
I can’t get over how nice your hair always is
When I figured out I had dehydrated skin (as well as dry skin), my life changed.
What brand/products do you use?
I would love to know what products as well!
Can you a video about fungal acne and how to treat it?
Emiliana Chateau I’ve heard people using dandruff shampoo has helped, maybe look into it?
Emiliana Chateau also buy some tea tree oil and use that, it’s anti fungal anti bacterial, it will help I’m Sure! It cleared my acne forever
Emiliana Chateau if you have fungal acne you would probably want to get that treated by an actual dermatologist but it can actually be treated with dandruff shampoo since it’s caused by the same fungi that causes dandruff

My skin has been looking absolutely tragic lately, fine lines, dull, etc.... I think it’s dehydrated. Thank you for this video!
You're not wrong x

My skin is so dehydrated it's crazy
Mines the same way, trying to find a way to get its ph back.
I appreciate the production value of the videos on this channel.
Drink everytime she says dehydrated skin. 😊
😂 i like drinking games to trick myself into hydration too
I travel 12 hour flights about once a year.
Jung-Won Guo Yes! I love that you switched it around.
Vichy Mineral 89 booster is a hyaluronic acid booster(different than serum) and it is absolutely life changing!! Get your hands on it!
I have oily dehydrated skin a this Vichy Minerel 89 booster litteraly saved my skin... I've been using it for like a month now noticed a huuuge difference 😍😍
I love Mineral 89! I put it on at night and in the morning my skin is plump and juicy!
Yes! Only thing that saved my oily skin!!!
Do these diseases you mentioned make your skin dehydrated or dry?
Answer please ?
This is literally life changing. I sincerely can’t thank you enough! Absolutely amazing and beyond helpful! WOW! Thank you!!
Finally! No one gets dehydrated skin but you explained it so well! I really tick all the boxes for this condition
I can vouch for the humidifier. The difference it makes is incredible. My lips don't chap as bad and my skin isn't crusty. Make sure you get the right size for your house though. So many people complain that it doesn't work but that's because it's too small for whole house use.
8:25 Susan recommends people with dehydrated skin to avoid products with sheabutter or dimethicone.
9:13 Susan recommends Belif moisturising bomb cream which contains dimethicone.
Me: Confused....^^;;
What is dimethicone? I heard it’s bad but it’s in most skin and hair products... 🤷♀️
Sigh.
Samantha-M.
Wow. I can’t believe that bish H2O would go and ruin you like that 🙄 so selfish
Check your thyroid, it might be causing that change.
Susan: eye creams are just a marketing ploy by the cosmetic industry and you should be getting what need in an eye cream in your moisturizer.
Susan: try this eye cream.
She's taught us so much that we can read through the ad. This isn't a criticism, it's a compliment ❤
NERIDA JOY IS MY GIRL YESSSSS
I used Dove soap as my face wash and my face was iritated every time I washed it so finaly realized it is because of dove's fragrance. Uriage D. S. emulsion is holy grale for dehydrated /iritated skin. It is water based formula ☺
I have both honestly. Doesn't help that I live in a very dry area
One very helpful tip is leave a wet towel /or/ a container with water close to your bed because the water will evaporate and humidify the air.
@@buketkabacaoglu6717 My thoughts exactly! Agree with you 10000%
dead giveaway was her mentioning eyecream (when she does reviews of night time routines she always says oh eye creams are a gimmick) - so i scrolled down and boom my suspicions were right
This was the video I needed to see, literally life changing for my acne prone skin. (Yeah my skin is way to crazy!) Thank you Susan for this video, my skin feels new
I bought the belief products after this video and they are wonderful for winter!!!!
listen to her general advices, they're great.
the rest is ad (as mentioned at the bottom of the description)
I have dry skin. I’ve had it my entire life. I know it’s not just dehydrated. My skin does not like oils. I use la roshe posay and my skin loves it.
This has been so helpful. I did exactly what was said 'striped my oily skin'. I over did it with the ordinary skin products and I had a feeling it's dehydrated as I'm fasting. And I never had dry skin.
This channel and the Director Pi channel are my favorite !! This video is so informative!! 👍🥰
Everyone always talk about oily and dry skin but rarely people talk about normal skin which doesnot beakout much or irretate or anything i dont know the best stuff for my skin type so i hope you talk about it♥️
Susan, can you please do a video for signs of healthy skin PLEASE?
Good morning👸
You are definitely my go too Esthetician, for advice and up to date info...
❤ your style.
Sofia N Lomba Guzman Absolutely
I thought I had dry skin for years! Thanks for making this video, I learned a lot!
this video helped, i didnt realise my toner had salicylic acid in it and now the dehydration is gone, thank you
OMG this is literally me. Now I know why I am oily but dry at the same time
Just in time! I’ve noticed some dryness but I’m generally oily with acne. Thank you!
Thanks Susan. I am on accutane so I am currently riding the struggle bus of extremely dry and peeling skin.
We can talk about dry vs dehydrated later. What I need to know is where I can get your top? It’s so cute!! Okay, back to the video. 😂 Thanks, Susan!
I love the Belif Moisturizing Bomb.
This was so helpful!! I've always had dry skin but suspected that it was dehydrated as well, and now I know for sure it is and what products to try. Thanks! 😊
I can just watch her all day! Thank you for your very informative video!!!
My goodness thank you Susan. I understand my skin type and condition. Yes I have both because I eat clean and drink a 1.5 Lt bottle of water daily. But the tightness, quick absorption, superfine lines are a reality. I'm going to try out your recommendations. Thank you!
I completely agree with this video could not have explained it better
Most Ardently You can have both for sure.
Try a humidifier or vapourizer.
I'm curious about that too but does my skin,in that case, need oil or water?
These videos are so much fun to watch, and your expertise is very much appreciated because I love learning about the science behind skincare success. Thank you so much, Susan!
Very informative video. Thanks for the tips!
Best 15 minutes I’ve invested on UA-cam
I see that sunday riley is in one of your recommendation list.. what do you think about the news that says that sunday riley forces their worker to write "nice reviews"? After that i became a little skeptical about that brand, not sure whether it really works or my other skin care that work..
Anyway the video is super helpful, thank you!
Jihan Azita i tried the sample from Sunday riley which it was vitamin c cream. I tried it only one night and it worked for me. It brightened up my skin tone and reduced my acne scars. But well only i tried once, the effect not that much but i could see the improvement
youre so right I used to be a huge proponent of coconut oil..but ive realised it reALLY breaks me out!!
I have dry acne prone skin. Not to mention using benzoyl peroxide and differin, but the CeraVe moisturizing cream is saving my skin😅
Thank you so much for this video. I have dry skin and I am currently having difficulties with finding new products. This video helped me so much!
My first 8 months using Retin-A, I used a humidifier every night. Not once was my skin flaky or dry. I swear by humidifiers.
THIS! I dont think people know how amazing a humidifier is especially in the winter
Okay but how do you use them and not get the floor or table all wet/damp if you have them of for a long time?? It is that just a thing to get used to?
Susan i learned so much about skincare from you
I loved this video and the way she explained everything so simple, thank you!!!
Brains and beauty 😊 first video I watched from you and now I'm hooked! Thank you so much for this educated video. I have dehydrated skin
Please talk about the difference between oily skin vs congested skin! Great video xox
SO informative! Can you please give me more moisturizer recommendations for dry skin?
Also recommend the Aveeno Eczema Therapy for a thick cream that your skin will actually soak up
Can i still use hyaluronic acid during winter where the humidity is low?
Yes, make sure your face is damp first. I spray mine with water before applying.
Buy pH strips off Amazon-$7.95 200 count
All Your products should be between 4.5 and 6.2.
Thank you Thank you thank you!!!!! for helping us discern the 2 makes COMPLETE sense, on to HYDRATION for me ! Stay Beautiful❤
Hi Susan absolutely love your skincare videos. Could please do a whole morning and night skin care routine for dry skin like which products can be used together and which cannot . Pleaseeee
I can't say enough good things about this video! I know it sounds silly but over my life I have spent thousands on skin care but no matter what I did I always suffered with what I thought was genetically inherited dry skin, when in fact I just needed to drink more water, way more water 😳
So many people don't drink near enough water!
This is so helpful. My skin is both!
This is probably one of my favorite videos because I have never heard of dehydrated skin. I always thought there was only dry skin.
Such a helpful video, I always thought I had dry skin, now I think it's just dehidrated
