I’m a coins 🪙 collector.I have lots of 1980 Pennies. Thanks 🙏 for your wonderful we’ll explain Video . I be learning lots of my historical collection coins 🪙 God Bless ! Take care & more power to u all !
I check every coin I get my hands on. You are right... there are a lot of people who is not aware of how valuable a coin may be. Thank you as always. Great information!!!
I haven't had a chance to check my 1980s in awhile but I will checking them after watching this video.Thank you J&B for all your hard work to keep us informed!
Like your videos, I've got a lot of coins and just getting started. Using just a handheld magnifying glass and a bright light I've found some interesting coins. Waiting on a coin scope I ordered. I've got a ton of pennies I'm sorting through. I'm looking through a pile of 80's now. Thanks for your videos.
I haven’t checked them but I’ve separated them all by date and I have lots of them saved and I expect more in the rolls that were left by my aunt and I can’t wait to really search them. Thank you for the information as I have them saved and I’m very excited as to when I have a chance to really go through them under good magnification and some of them are red, red brown and brown. I love the 80s pennies I don’t know why I just do and I really appreciate this video and the others that you have provided in the 80s so that I can really follow up on them, thank you for another great video.
THANKS for the video! I was ready to disregard this penny, but lack of mint marks intrigued me. After watching the video, & placing the coin under a 40X scope, I found this error coin in my pocket change! Said coin also has slight reverse doubling, as well as die cud on the obverse. I do have pics captured from the scopes camera, I can send if you'd like.
I have a few very good condition 1980 pennies I will definitely be looking at again for the DDO but would love to find one on the wrong planchet. And I never clean any of my coins. Thank you so much for sharing these awesome coins.
I'll check my flips if I have any1980 penny's, because I just took so much change to the dump bank. Thanks as always for the awesome videos! You and Mrs. B definitely always keep us in the loop! Thank you.
Hi JB😊 Fabulous Video I too did NOT know about the 1980 penny but for some reason 🤷♀️ I've always set my 1980 pennies aside for separate storage... well now I can go look through all of those & 🤞 for some DDO's😊 Krazy Kool Intuition Lovin it❣ Thank you JB for all of your KNOWLEDGE Well Done👑 Happy Hunting🕵️♂️🕵️♀️ Lauren⚘
I am behind on checking my pennies. I have a few hundred I need to examine and I will look for this one. I did not know about this 1980 DDO. Thank you for the information.
I check all of the coins if get. I'm learning varieties and errors. I got a one dollar star note in change from Popeyes the other day. I will take a look at the 1980S in the future. thanks
I didn't know about this error on the 1980 P penny. I have a jar of 80-82 copper pennies that I will be going back over. I just got a microscope so I am going over all my pennies again. Just in case I missed something the first time. Thanks for the info
I do check these pennies! Nothing yet, but these videos do help me. I’m wondering how many valuable coins slipped through my fingers before I started collecting!
I do have some 1980 pennies and have to look for the double die. None of them are off center or struck on the wrong planchet but I haven't put them all under the scope yet. Thanks J&B!👍
Any info on a red Denver mint 1980 penny in literal mint condition went over the coin several times got it tonight in change and it’s a DDO you can clearly see it in the word liberty and the date . Thanks
Check every single coin i get in change before spending it. Is a coin getting washed in your pocket in the washing machine considered cleaning a coin? You never know how many times before getting a coin that it went through a wash or something like that.
I did not know about the 1980 pennies from Philly having a DDO. Looks like I need to look at my pennies. Thanks J and Mrs. B Never have I found any over struck coins.
I was watching tour video on 1980 DDO pennies. After watching the 1969 s video. Was separating my pennies and notice a 1980D penny with the R on LIBERTY looking like an N. Only when you look at the penny straight on. From an angle it looks like a R. Has there been anyone with the same error penny? Thanks
Wow now I didn't know about ddo's on 1980 penny's I have some amazing examples in my collection I have to go back and check for this varietie thanks for the information you or the best 👍👍
I didn’t know about this but I try to save copper pennies so should have some in a pile somewhere. The nickel and dime errors are neat. Didn’t know there was gradation on off-center. Cool.
Thanks for the video . I will be looking over all my coins again. I have a penny that I got at the gas station in my change . She gave me my change and I saw a very shiny penny thinking it was a new one . When I looked it was a 1981 it looks like brand new . I don't see any thing wrong with it . It looked like it was just busted out of a new roll of fresh coins from the mint . I would like to see if it is worth anything . It's as bright as a 2019 . Thanks Roger the Farmer from Grantsburg Wisconsin
Where can I go in Florida to have my penny’s graded and then sold I’ve recently started searching penny’s as a hobby and I also appreciate coins very much !! I just subscribed liked and shared this video thanks for the tips!!🤗🤗
I look at every single coin till I'm about blind! I bought a 16X loop at Books-A-Million it's awful,I got my husband to look through it at a coin and he could tell no difference! (Made me feel better..hhaa). What type of microscope do you reccomend? Loved the info in this video,as always..Thanks JB and Mrs.B.
I'm new at this. I was left some coins and I'm trying to learn things to help me identify what the coin language means. Im not sure i have what it takes to learn this whole process lol. I have 2 of the 1980 no mint mark pennies. My little magnifier is not strong enough for me too see a double die. It's a 6x but I ordered a a 10x-35x. It won't be here until next week. I did take some pictures of them tho. How do we post pictures to share on here?
I bet that Bonnie cleaned that last one with her trusty steel wool! ;-) =) Haven't checked the 1980 cents, but have kept all the pre-83 pennies I've found in a jug downstairs, so I can go through them at some point if I get the ambition to do so.
Came to this video bc I found a 1980 no mint mark in what looks like brown but it has noticeable doubling around the edge on the front. Looking into if it has value. Thanks for the info
Most people turn coins over if it's a wheat they keep it but if it is something that has the Lincoln Memorial on the back they think it's worthless. I really wish people would just look it over and like you guys say if it dose not look right then keep UT and look closer at home. The human brain will see it even when your eyes don't do to memory recall. Look at it if it dosent look Wright as a gut feeling keep it. That's my 2 cents. Hope it make more than that when you get home.
I SAVE ALL MY 80S COINS. I WILL CHECK THESE AGAIN. IF YOU SEND OFF COINS TO BE GRADED CAN YOU HAVE THEM AUCTION THEM AD WELL. I FIND ALOT OF ERROR COINS THAT LOOK BEAT UP WITH CUDS FALLING OVER LETTERS ON RIM. ARE THESE TRUE ERROR COINS. HAVE ALOT WITH BIG DIE CRACKS. WHAT DO I DO WITH THESE. JUST LEARNING AT MY OLD AGE. WOULD LOVE TO MAKE A FEW BUCKS PRETTY SOON. I WATCH ALOT OF YOUR VIDEOS. SOMETIMES OVER AGAIN. THIS GETS CONFUSING. I WILL BE WATCHING TONIGHT . THANK YOU J&B. GOD BLESS
What you fail to mention in these achieved prices is the fact these coins have to be sent off to a 3rd party grading company thru the mail. The cost of the gradeing and shipping/postage and the chance it gets lost in the mail or at the grading company are factors you have to consider. I have a 30 caliber ammo box of 1980 uncirculated bank rolls that I'd not search due to these costs, and possible losses.Even though some rolls have obvious double die obverse on the end coin. Anyone interested?

Have several 1980 pennies. Will give them a look.
such good advice. Don't clean your coins. Also, keep your oily paws off of the face and tail. Another way to devalue your treasures.

I know about never cleaning coins. But what should I look for besides obvious scrubbing scratches ect. What else would I look for.
What if I have a 3.1 gram and it’s got the doubling but missing the fg on the back 1980
Hey JB I found a 79 no mint penny that weighs 2.5. Is that possible. Hope your comment on it. Thanks.
Wow, thanks for the info, will definitely have to look at my better 1980s.
Always check for Wheaties but never knew about this one. Another to look for.

I've got a penny 1973 on the front side the rim is very thick and st the bottom is very thin is that a error?
Good to know, time to look closer at my change
I'm new at this. I was left some coins and I'm trying to learn things to help me identify what the coin language means. Im not sure i have what it takes to learn this whole process lol. Very cool video as usual lots of good information.
Great information, I always look at all my coins and notes.
I didn't know about this error and I just checked my 1980's and nope I didn't have one. I will look at any newly acquired pennies in the future.
Came to this video bc I found a 1980 no mint mark in what looks like brown but it has noticeable doubling around the edge on the front. Looking into if it has value. Thanks for the info
I have a $50. 1980 bag of cents. I’ll have to look through them.
will be looking at all my pennies from now on and hope to find a 80 rd DDO one day
I metal detect and most of my coins need to be cleaned just to see a date. What should I do?
Clean em and look at the date or don't or throw them away put them in a glass of water try to connect a battery to them. Do what you like to do.
Would letting warm water run over the coin be considered cleaning, since nothing more than running water was used?
Thanks J&B! Great pieces!
I knew about this one, and found one that is BU red. Thanks for the video.
I have been looking for a 1980 DDO but have not found one. Living in east Tennessee I see a lot of them, but no luck so far.
I know I more than likely have a couple 1980 pennies will have to look at them close.
Most people turn coins over if it's a wheat they keep it but if it is something that has the Lincoln Memorial on the back they think it's worthless. I really wish people would just look it over and like you guys say if it dose not look right then keep UT and look closer at home. I didn't know of this error, only the off center strikes, so the answer is nope! Will look before live stream!
I haave a few of the 80 pennies, a lot of pennies in 80s general, on the hunt
I SAVE ALL MY 80S COINS. I WILL CHECK THESE AGAIN. IF YOU SEND OFF COINS TO BE GRADED CAN YOU HAVE THEM AUCTION THEM AD WELL.
