How to make a Digital Dash for Racing Simulators using Sim Hub and an Old Smartphone

- Does the rev counter and 7 segment display on your Sim Wheel not quite cut it? For some games, it's absolutely critical to be able to see other vital statistics such as ERS charge, Engine Mode, etc.
In this video I show you how you can set up a realistic looking and highly functional digital gauge system using free software (Sim Hub) and an old Smartphone or Tablet.
The game I used as an example is F1 2018, but the same basic process applies to many popular sim racing games such as Assetto Corsa Competizione, Automobilista 2, iRacing, rFactor2, Dirt 4, etc.

Buy the Porsche wheel anyways. Or buy the R300 then the Porsche interface that's what I did.

@@boostedmedia It's already on V1.1.3 (Added some of the classic cars, comes with an installer, no more javascript).
And the F1-2019 version is there either (but has some "errors").
Currently working hard on the ACC-Dashes, so no further updates for the F1 franchise is planned in the near future.

Yeah only works for certain games but there’s and app call race dash on iOS pretty sure u can get it on Android too but I’m on Xbox one and it works like a charm

Racedepartment seems to be having some issues lately. I haven’t found an alternative source but it usually comes good after a while.

I have a ps4 and i dint find a free app on my phone. But u might find one.
Most of these apps aren't free (most cost around 5€), but it shouldn't matter on which platform you are.

Is there any way in this world that this can be used with an iphone? No matter what i try, and what video I watch, they all use androids. I try what they do but either the app only exists on android, or it doesn't work at all. Please help.

@@dhrubhudia6690 I found a way to use it with iPhone u use the ets2 telemetry server but unfortunately I don’t think u can run that on ps4 I have one and I’m pretty sure you can’t download files from random websites, I think it’s a pc thing only.

Yep. The wheel doesn’t matter. Would even work with a keyboard or hand controller.

No, a great alternative which works on xbox is Sim dashboard!
I'll make a mount using lego i managed to make a set of magnetic shifters for my g29 using lego speaker wire and gorilla glue lmao worked a treat ,also a phone holder for my car and for when I'm in the bath watching sim videos im telling you lego is the way forward bahahaha wish I had made a video on how to do it but I've now blown my g29 up 🤣😂 csl dd pro in the pipeline

In F1 2018 they should work by default when “FANATEC LEDs” is turned on in telemetry settings.

I can't installer this dashboard (F1-2018 SimHub Beta 01 0.2). I think that I haven't totally folders inside download. It not appear in folder "Dash Templates" into the installation folder in my PC. In your videotutorial you have a different folders of me.
Can you help me, please? Is possible send this dashboard for email?

Sounds like you may have downloaded the wrong dashboard. There’s two similar ones on racedepartment.
Boosted Media I downloaded f1 2018 dash studio and the inside file is f1 2018 set up file and some other file , no JavaScript extension nor the dash folder??
