This patent seems to break out much of what is already in a joycon, but to a greater degree than the old patents. As an example, joycons already have an accelerometer, they support SBC codec, they have Infared sensors, and they also support NFC through Amiibos. These are not in the current joycons patent but are already implemented.
Great find as always Mike! Concrete as ever. The touch panel controller part; for sure has to due to having a better touch screen tech; to where maybe we can play the Switch 2 effectively without controllers attached; for when we are out and about and want it to be more pocket friendly. I noticed that alot of the extra stuff on the joycons; seem to coincide with the extra stuff in the tablet portion (at least in this patent) but I also noticed the NFC reader was missing in the regular Switch patent you showed but present in the Switch 2 patent. This could mean (by history of how Nintendo provides info via patents) that there could be even more going on inside than even these patents suggest. Good stuff and let us continue to wait and speculate!
Being able to link the system to the TV, without having it docked, would be a great way of playing TV mode with a touchscreen, as well as add potential for Wii U, DS and 3DS implementation. I also think the new Joy-Con should provide a way to provide cursor movement without having to constantly recalibrate, in addition to analog triggers, a microphone and the ability to use a camera. All these features would make just about every retro Nintendo system doable on the new hardware, as well as provide some necessary improvements to backwards compatible Switch games via updates.
They break all the time, I've bought 6 joycons throughout the switch life, 2 of them don't connect to the console anymore and they had stick drift the other 2 just have stick drift and the 2 working ones are newly bought not to mention how expensive these things are, and I take care of my switch believe it or not
The right joycon of the Switch 1 also has more Features than the left one! The right joycon already has Infrared and NFC communication for Amiibo... It is Just missing in the first Slide for the old joycons
The possibility of the Switch 2 having a retractable second touchscreen sounds cool. It's basically combining the 3DS with the Wii U/Switch, along with much more powerful CPU/GPU.
Why rush to a new system if switch 1 is still selling outstanding numbers, even without a price drop? They don't want to rush into another wii u situation.
Nintendo certainly is not the most money hungry if that were, the switch today would be like as powerful than Xbox and PlayStation. And they already said they will reveal news about the next successor this fiscal year Now-April 2025 so we can wait til then...
I believe Nintendo shows their next Nintendo Switch Console the Follower of Nintendo Switch in their last Nintendo Direct 2024 in september and that would be awesome because september is my birthmonth, then The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom is coming and maybe the Last Nintendo Direct 2024 too: Here we Go WAHOO! Happy Mid-Summer Celebration weekend everyone! 😎❤️🔥
Nintendo patents things all the time, but they don't use most of their patents and is why no one cared about this patent. This is not a leak and is why other Switch channel cared about it.
Glad to see the battery still looks like won't last more than a few hours at most:( just give me another standalone console like Wii or GameCube if you are going to have a small battery that can't be used for any meaningful time handhelds should be able to get several hours of play because meant to be on go just my opnion
I want to offer a hypothesis here hear me out So we know that the pokemon legends game is for the switch, because the teaser video for it has a switch game animation at the beginning So I think that they will not be launching or maybe even announcing a new console until at least 2025, after that game has come out, in order to not have upcoming not-yet-released games left for the switch by then.😊
Take it for granted. If we know something about Switch 2 this year, it will be it's announcement only. Release date will be 2025. Nintendo will duplicate the strategy of Nintendo Switch back then when it was released when it was announced at the end of 2016 and release at the beginning of 2017.
You guys just give it up it won't be coming out until 2 more years at the very minimum do you know how long it's going to take for them to really actually distribute all those units and get them all ready for the massive buy out of🥱 those so-called Nintendo switch 2 That's not including the scalpers who loves and has a very big reputation of overpricing items that are way cheaper than what the price again like $1,000 to $3,000 some selling $8,000 likewhat they did with the PS5 when it first came out but again I really would hate to have to transition from Nintendo switch OLED and pay another $500 for another system just to play the exact same game on the OLED or the next latest game that could have been made for the OLED. that's kind of wasting money don't you think. And wasting people's time It would be more beneficiary for them the milk out the Nintendo switch especially the OLED being fact that it's little new whatever milk they can get out of the Nintendo switch OLED😞😕 I think you guys just need to wait a little longer and if you do I'm sure they'll come up with a better to distribute and sell them more efficiently especially making it harder for skalpers To spike up those prices But again I agree I would love to see a 120 HZ 4K with 1TB game system console for Nintendo switch 2

*They definitely should double the memory. At least 16gb*
at least 12gb. AT LEAST! Otherwise it will be very behind.
@@JavonHolland im pretty sure that the switch 2 was leaked to have 2x 6gb lpddr5x ram modules running at 7500mt/s

We don't need modified joycons - Better resolution and higher FPS in demanding games is what I want
Lmao, YES WE DO! Joycons are TRASH rn

The only thing that the joycons need is stopping the stick drift.
Alot of people experience stick drift, they need to modify the joycons for sure, on top of your wishes.
@@abcbizarre update one of my last 2 joycons the right one, now has stick drift so 5 out of the 6 joycons I've bought got stick drift

not with the leak again 😭
Could you put the leak for the base Switch Patent so we can see the difference ourselfs?

Very intrigued!!!
Nintendos gotta be the most money hungry company, stop milking switch 1 and make switch 2 already
Why rush to a new system if switch 1 is still selling outstanding numbers, even without a price drop? They don't want to rush into another wii u situation.

Thank you for all your videos but lately your audio has been a little lacking!
yeah it sounds a bit low quality
They need to round those edges more. Those unjoy-cons look thick lol
I thought the Nintendo leaks are dead.
Nintendo still charging 350 dollars for a switch is quite comical.
Thing should cost 180 max.
