I find it really interesting Joel does not like Zetterstrand's paintings. I myself really like that Minecraft has its own aesthetic and style, I really like the inclusion of art that makes you stop and ask questions. The paintings are weird and jarring and I love them because of it.
I love them for that reason too. I’m all for more variety as well, not everything needs to “make sense” or be logical. They can be odd or just because.
Felt like he was just complaining about them. Again more variety is great. State that and be happy we got new things.
I suggest changing the thumbnail. I thought I had already watched this episode when it popped up in my sub feed. the red on the bottom looks like a completed watch bar.
I've had that with a few other videos of people I subscribe to and fully agree, though in this case I knew I hadn't
Many users have actually had the watch bar malfunction sometimes, including showing watched for unwatched videos. I don't fully depend on it.
Although I agree that the red should probably be removed from the thumbnail, personally the reds in the thumbnail and watch bar do look quite differentiable at a glance to my eyes.
Heck we want new paintings.....especially 3 wide ones. In a game where we often use odd numbers in building, odd numbered painting widths is perfect!
I know I want more paintings!
Wels mentioned in one of his latest Hermit videos that he wanted more as we didn't have a 3X3 in which we need... I mean as mentioned below most people build on an odd scale or the 5X5 system and yet we don't have a 3X3 painting to center in that system.
Ohhhh I do like the brush interaction idea!
That red line across the bottom of the thumbnail threw me too. Seeing Hot Pot unalive himself on that hill was actually a little funny. I was like well that was novel.
