Water effect acrylics are great! a nice selection of them as well. I have some of the AK stuff the more liquid one. Both AK and Vallejo have some great options for ground and other effects at an amazing price point.
This stuff is really nice. The Still Water is the messiest to work with, but it's super versatile. You can pour it to create pools, or you can spot it to enhance mud/wet earth textures. Fantastic video!
Thanks for another great video with excellent tips! I have bought the whole range of water texture paints this past summer because I want to try water-based dioramas. Your video is very useful! The Archeon base looks terrific with the darker blood base!
@@DonSuratos, no need to mention at all. It’s great to know that us, as a community of gunpla builders and mini painters, can freely share comments and observations and that such comments are heeded. No ego trips among us, bro! 😂
Thanks for the tips Don! Since I also decided to paint a Cthulhu similar to the one you painted, I really needed an explanation on the use of this type of texture! You are a myth Bro! 😉🙌🏻
I used it before, I just ran out of gel medium last year. It is great for creating huge waves and building volume. However if applied very thick, it will never dry fully clear. Cheap and good stuff though. ☺️
oof, nice channel, subbed 🙌 Do you by chance have a recommendation on how to create sculpted thin wisps of smoke? Something that would diffuse light and be as matt as possible - like frosted glass but fully matt. Maybe a mix of transparent water texture with matt medium?
Ah, too bad it's not about still water - I am about to use it for my project and well, I have some doubts about it, especially with the warning about thin layers. Still, that's pretty useful video, as I also have bottle of Mediterranean blue and it's good to see how it cures. Thanks for your hard work!
I have to be honest, the Archaeon base is still too bright to be blood. I'd hit that with the oil enamel wash. When you bleed, sure, that's how red the blood is, but as blood gets deeper it shows as darker as light diffuses in it more due to it's makeup. I have been a hunter for a long time, and when you bleed an animal you create quite a puddle of blood. Even at an inch of depth it is a very dark looking crimson red. If that is an ocean of blood you should be looking at a more deep crimson than that almost cartoonish bright red.
@@DonSuratos Maroon has a more purple twinge than I would suggest. I'd be more of a red with an almost dark brown to black hue to it. More red than the dark brown to black of course.
I am so glad to find your channel. I bought the texture paint but could not find any good info. You really helped me.
Enjoy! Feel free to drop a question anywhere in my channel. Cheers! Thanks for watching. ☺️🎨🎨🎨
Thank you! I was looking to make an attempt at water effects and your vid gave me some great ideas and a place to look!

Amazing prices indeed and my Vallejo texture paints are lasting for years! ☺️🎨🎨🎨
Your videos are great. You get right to it and explain things well. Thank you. I learn so much

Hahaha! Good but expensive stuff. 😅
Where can see video with Archaon paint? This is great!!! And this blood water...
Thanks! Oh I haven’t painted him yet. 😬
Thank you!
Welcome! 😊🎨🎨🎨
I've heard that gel medium is also good for helping to provide a water-like finish -- any thoughts on that in lieu of gloss?

@@DonSuratos Thank you!!!
Increíble video, has resuelto muchas dudas de cómo aplicar as texturas acuáticas, un saludo
Gracias! ☺️🎨🎨🎨
Nice video!! Are you going to do some videos on how to paint Archaon soon?? That would be probably the best video possible 🤩
I am afraid I still lack the confidence to paint my Archaon bro. I will practice on smaller commissioned models first. ☺️🎨🎨🎨
@@DonSuratos I suggest you to paint the bigger parts of the monster with the airbrush, so we can see more content of airbrushing in your channel!

Thank you! Sculpt with green stuff. Paint it bluish grey, then drybrush the foam texture paint. Should look nice. ☺️🎨🎨🎨
Are Vallejo paints really waterproof? How do you clean custom figures?
All acrylic paints like Vallejo are waterproof. Are you a lacquer painter?
Gracias!
