Been struggling to consistently get into the 70s lately. Did this drill for 15 minutes and it completely changed my swing sequence. 78 with 3 birdies!! Great tip. I will use this drill before every round.
Been as low as a 5 handicap and still I have always struggled to get this move rite ....it is to me the hardest thing to do in the golf swing .....idk why but I have always struggled with it ....I strike the ball well majority of the time ....even played blades up until this last season ....but trying to fire hips towards the target before the end of the backswing is difficult for me ...maybe one of these days but at 47 and 20 plus years of beating that little ball around....I sure would like to get that move dialed one day ....not likely to happen but would be nice
This is exactly the difference and also my issue. I have tried this drill and it makes me come so far over the top its insane. I wish I could perform this move
I do what you're describing. I am letting my upper body dictate my swing and not getting the lower body engaged and I'm "casting" the club and hitting that weak, inaccurate fade with the occasional outright slice. When I really try to engage my legs into my swing, I tend to hit the ball fat. I have just recently gotten back into the game of golf after taking off about a dozen years and I'm almost 50 now, so I know I won't get the distance back that I had when I was a teenager or even into my 30's, but I would like to be able to hit a PW 110-120 yards rather than the 80-100 that I'm getting right now. My drives are only going about 225 and regardless of what club I am swinging I am hitting them all roughly the same.

Try dropping your right elbow into your ribs. Worked for me
