Sold my brushed PC 20v impact and drill and got the PC brushless impact on sale. Although I like the feel better on the brushed version, I can't deny the power and performance on my new one, especially when paired with the 4 a.h battery.
I guess after going through with the Bauer impact breaking lag bolts, you showed what a real low budget impact driver can do without breaking lag bolts and sinking them in. Porter cable all the way👌👍👍👍☺. I remember seeing somewhere a picture of the cordless porter cable 7 quarter circular saw, Im sure that was a few years ago. Looked like a heavy duty cordless circular saw.
lolol...yes that was my point ...alotof peeps forget before dewalt ..aka stanley b&d , p.c. was a very pro brand ...alot of peeps still mad at b7d for turning it into a homeowner brand
I have had the brushed Porter Cable impact driver for about a year and a half. I got it in the drill/driver kit at Lowe's with those 1.3Ah batteries. The drill I can take or leave, but the impact has been a good runner for me, and I have worked it over pretty good. Not the fastest, but not the slowest by any means either. I'm not interested in upgrading to the Porter Cable brushless though, being that I am slowly but surly moving into the DeWALT line, and it's not all that much more for the DeWALT impact. There was a time when I was just starting out and Porter Cable had a great pice for what you get, and I would recommend them LONG before Bower. At least you know The Porter Cable will last.
I have a lawn and landscaping company we use the brushed impact to take our blades on and off the mowers. After a year and a half it finally give up.Not to bad that some abuse..
Replace the brushes in your tool and it will have power like the day you bought it, it's a $8 part and is normally 99.9% of the time the first thing to fail on brushed tools
Out of curiosity I put a 1/2 impact socket adapter on this today, and successfully used it to remove 21mm lug nuts from a Toyota FJ Cruiser. I was shocked.
For whatever reason every video on brushed porter cable 20v are the low end version, mine came with a red battery, belt clip, magnetic bit holders on top of the housing, and battery level gauge?I have the brushless set too and it has better battery life but even the box it came in makes no power increase claim and it does not seem any more powerful than the brushed. I love them both, great tools
I was fortunate to get a four-piece PC combo (circ saw, recip saw, drill/driver and led light) off an instagram giveaway, but i must say that they really feel and behave like toys compared to the milwaukee/dewalt/makita and even ridgid lines. The drill would barely make a pocket hole in 2x pine and then the chuck stripped out on me after a week of moderate use. Circ saw stalled out on a 2x6 pine cross cut with the 4.0ah battery. Recip is great for small pruning jobs, but that's about it. I had planned on getting the impact driver if i liked the platform enough, but alas i went with the milwaukee kit after my misfortune with the PC stuff.
Matt Van Dyke You're full of shit. My impact blows away rigid, millwaukee and dewalt. Only thing the millwaukee has over mine is the battery life. I've dropped mine from 12 ft ladders, driven well over 10,000 screws in 2 and a half years that I've owned it, lag bolts, large sockets, you name it. Ive beat the piss out of it with heavy construction and it still keeps going. Today I just bought my second set because the guts are finally starting to rattle. I'm a foreman for a general contractor company and most of my crew of 6 has switched from dewalt or millwaukee to porter cable. And Makitais just straught up junk. I wouldn't own that name if you gave it to me.
My Lowe's don't have Porter Cable anymore so I trade up to Ryobi so all I use now is DeWalt n Ryobi it's sad Lowe's just took them off the shelf I don't know where they going to sell Porter Cable anymore
no doubt buddy ...remember also i got a brushless impact driver a brushless drill driver and 2 batteries for $119..the bauer impact kit is $79 for a brushed impact and a battery

thank you very much Phillip ;)

bauer changed everything :)
yes very good point , and this brushed p.c. i like very much , not the quickest . but will do anything you ask it to do within reason
That brushed version looks very similar to that Bauer you recently got
F CJr yea it really does ...thats tells ya alot that first generation p.c.
It's big upgrade. I love my brushless PC impact how powerful and light it is even when I hook up 6mah battery to it

I still prefer my makita over porter cable and nice video bro
Much better than Bauer impact driver. After all porter Cable are from Stanley group or black and decker Group.
Javier Reyes both are solid ...this porter cable a bit older but i like it
Wrong. Dewalt makes em. Idk about now. But they were the only drill and impacts with metal gears
did anyone ever find out why the bauer was breaking those bolts??
heavy chuck wobble + impact + vibration
You should have tested the PCC647 vs the PCC640 instead of the PCC641 everything I've read says the old brushed PC640 is more powerful.
send me one , i will test it
My Lowe's don't have Porter Cable anymore so I trade up to Ryobi so all I use now is DeWalt n Ryobi it's sad Lowe's just took them off the shelf I don't know where they going to sell Porter Cable anymore

GREAY VID, TOOLBOSS

Porter cable or Bauer....😂
Yeah Id like to see that too!
EEinTraining EWU unfortunately im out of lugs and aint buying anymore !!

If those were the only options, I would def choose the porter cable because it comes with a 3 year warranty.
