I had blind spot mirrors . It’s a 2x2 cheap device on each side and would only look at them while driving. It just made it safer for me. Specially at night. I traded my camaro this week. It’s a unique experience. Never had trouble. You get used to it
Those pillars in the back are why I want the Driver Convenience Group package. It doesn't seem to be available on a lot of the Challengers I see at any dealerships.
My friend rented one of these for a trip and there is no way I would buy a modern car so poorly designed. You should just put a blindfold on to drive one.
I’m 5’8 and drive this car perfectly normal Blind spot and adjusting your mirrors really does the job I can see perfectly clear Just as I would in my 98 montero which has a great wide open visibility views
@@Nolimitf22 I'm 6'3 and have to move the seatback further and for me I see nothing right to left. I'm sure hieght is always a factor. For me though normally it is never a big deal as I have driven lots of cars. However the Challenger for was a terrible design.
I have had a 2011 challenger for 8 years now and twice have backed into a car that was parked (in narrow lots/communities with people parking on the road) and invisible to me from that rear/passenger side view. In store parking lots I always park in the back of the lot where i can pull all the way forward and never have to back out.
If you set your mirror wider, it mostly eliminates the blind spot. Lean your head against the driver side window, then move the mirror out until you just barely can't see the side of your car. Now do the same thing for the passenger side (while sitting on in the driver seat) lean your head toward the passenger window, then move the mirror out until it just barely can't see the side of the car. No more blind spot. You just have to get used to not seeing the side of your car in the side mirrors.
My lease on a 2018 Challenger is now up. I considered buying it, but this is my biggest issue. After I first got it, that blind spot really got me and I accidentally cut someone off , I’m glad I didn’t hit them but they chased me down on the freeway and threw things at my car, followed me and it went downhill from there. I have got used to it since then, that was 3 yrs ago but that incident has me pretty nervous in purchasing the car now that the lease is up. And it’s even harder is you have a passenger sitting in that seat to see and that was the issue when I cut that person off. I have considered replacing the side few mirror with one that has a camera and/or sensor but I don’t know if that can be done or how much it would be but I’m over it now 🙄
I'm about your height. I'm looking at a Challenger, but it does have blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. I don't think it will be too hard to adjust.
I have one , i love it , but the left side mirror and the blind spots are very bad , i can't feel comfort any way when i drive it despite the camaro the has a brilliant mirror views
Bruh just got one of these as my rental car for work... its fast... thats it. Everything is rly bad like damn. I always hated on these but now I know. Its got NOTHING on porsches, bmws, toyotas... its like they TRIED to make the visibility "bad" to make the car feel big.... -____-
Worse. Way worse. The blindspot is so bad I have to lean my passenger seat all the way back. My mirrors are just so far out you can’t see the sides of the car. Even with the mirrors adjusted you still have a blindspot. The Camaro has a blindspots in the back but the mirrors can be adjusted and you won’t have any problems. I’m 5’3 so I had blindspots in the front because I couldn’t see over the hood. But I think the blindspot in my Challenger was s worse than my Camaro
@@JustJoshBruh the Camaro is fun because you feel like you’re driving a race car but over time it’s gets uncomfortable especially on long trips. But you feel closer to the ground and the handling makes it so much fun. You can speed on curves you can’t do that in a v8 Challenger you can in a v6 but it still gets a bit slippery. The Challenger is fun and can get away from you at any engine level it releases as soon as you put you foot on the gas. But in a v8 it shifts faster and smoother the bigger engine. Both cars are fun the Camaro is better in rain the Challenger tends to hydroplane with the stock tires. The Challenger can it way from you so much you don’t even realize you’re driving 90. It’s a great passing car. The Camaro (well at least the RS) tends to shift slower.
I was in Maui on vacation and one of these was available as a rental. I got in to see how the visibility was and it was horrible. We decided we'd rather have the KIA with 4 doors and better visibility. Everyone was passing on the Challenger.. was still there and available when we returned the KIA. These cars are for a certain kind of person... I could get descriptive but why get mean.

The right side C pillar was the reason why I installed blind spot mirrors on my Challenger.

Was it a big help?
So u traded ur camaro for a challnger ?
now I understand why the people driving these things drive the way they do.
Lol yes please forgive us we don’t mean to cut you off we simply didn’t see you at all.
I hated making lane changes to the right because of the blind spot.....so I just sped up to insure an open area.....
Same bro same
Thanks for the video, I'm considering a either a Mustang, Challenger, or Camaro for my next car, and visibility is a concern of mine.
A year later, did you get any of the cars?
@@JustJoshBruh I didn't. I decided an SUV would be more practical. I hope to purchase in a few weeks.
arubiana good luck on getting the suv then man it may not be a challenger gotta work with what you have tho
@@JustJoshBruh Thanks, I'd love to have a challenger one of these days. Maybe in a few years.
Get a mustang gt the challenger is fucking ugly af Camaro is ok but get a mustang gt

Excellent review. Answered all my worries since I drive a 944S2 with excellent views all around.
I love this car but I always assumed the visibility was garbage based on design. And this video confirms that
Is there any remedy to fix the visibility problems.
@@MoneyOverFame Install blind spot mirrors and adjust the passenger seat foward.

The mirrors look like they’re adjusted too far in. Your not supposed to be able to see your car from inside.
I believe its fixed

You should probably get one of those small blind spot mirrors that attaches to your regular one, I hear it helps
blind spot mirrors work wonders as well.

Is the visibility in the challenger better or worse than the camaro
I’m looking at getting a 2016 camaro or a 2016 challenger
