You’re like one of those magicians who actually explains how he does the magic, but still pulls the illusion on you and leaves you even more impressed. It’s amazing to get an insight into your music, and it’s giving me the shivers all the more.
I want to thank you for your work in BSG. The show's version of "All along the Watchtower" lead me to Dylan, through Dylan's work, I needed to learn harp, and became a better guitar player then I was before. Thanks to that, I now am a busker. And that to me is the first time that the thing I do to get food on the table makes me happy. Why do I tell that? 'Cause I want to thank you. You are one of the artists that made me who I am. Thank you for all your hard work.
This is like learning the musical DNA of why this music affects so many. Thank you for the lesson in" musical biology", and how the music itself created " the invisible character" the one we never saw, always heard, but will never forget
Most epic, cathartic scene ever when all the themes come together in Kara's Coordinates.. visually and aurally. It completes every music and story piece up until that point, all leading to that. MASTERPIECE.
I'm a firm believer that wherever possible, characters should have a leitmotif in the score and this show was a big influence on that belief. Your music really embodies the souls of all the characters, and I can't hear some of these themes without all the emotion of the character's whole journey welling up inside me. The best music makes you feel something, and I always get chills or tear up hearing so much of this work. Thanks for your hard work making BSG what it was along with all the talented members of your team.
"So, for the score for the Four Horsemen Universe series, do we want Bear McCreary or-" Me: "Bear." "You didn't even hear the other choices." Me: "Did I stutter?"
Thank you for this... For all of it... This soundtrack was the background music for all of my college papers as well as some amazing fall driving through West Virginia and around Williamsburg...
Thank you so much for sharing this. The music of BSG has been with me almost everyday since the show was on. It always ends up in my playlists. To finally see some BTS insight into the creation of this music is such a joy. ❤️ I love watching the process.
Man just hearing that melody right at the beginning and seeing adama in a raptor made me tear... BSG is still a one of a kind show and your music is a huge part of it. Thank you!!
I wake up to this album every working day for the past decade. Always makes me leave on time, ready to face the day. Thank y'all so very much; I can safely say my life would not be the same without this soundtrack
When an epic circle comes to an end , it seems more difficult not to feel bittersweet emotions. Same at the podium , same at the orchestra . That is the bad thing with a series project , you start at full speed, full of ideas and at the end you feel that a circle is closed. The end. I saw that feeling too with Maestro John Williams at the Rise of Skywalker film scoring sessions. Same feeling Michael Giacchino at Lost series. Same as Howard Shore , with Lord of the Rings trilogy and Hobbit . You know that feeling deep. Or Ramin Djawadi with Game of thrones . You know that feeling well , as well now with The rings of power series. By the way Galandriel's theme is my favourite and now is my ringtone! Battlestar Galactica was an amazing series , and soundtrack was epic.
It's fascinating to learn what went on behind the scenes to create such a glorious soundtrack for BSG. The invaluable contribution of each musician in bringing Bear's majestic score to life is beautifully showcased and honoured here. The way in which all the themes seemlessly coalesced in this episode, was sublime. I have to admit that the "Roslin and Adama" theme is one particularly close to my heart.
So many things that I had to go back and watch/listen to again in this. I'm remembering how your percussion lines inspired me as I prepared to perform as a bodhran player live onstage. I laughed as Raya lovingly complained about the challenge of your music. I am, as always, stunned and in awe and joy, and it was amazing to see the process and how so many diverse musicians built and created your vision. Guess I know what I'll be watching again soon...
If the entertainment industry had half a brain, he'd be doing the music for HBO's House of the Dragon or the next Installments of the series The Expanse
Was that the same drum sound or percussion instruments used on Leo’s theme in DaVincis Demons? My favorite Bear score & into to Bear as a composer. I love that song -it gives me a Bear 🐻 gasm it’s so good-the drums are so powerful in that song & in BSG-was amazing to see how it all comes together - genius- thanks for posting ❤

BSG is my favorite TV show music and is equal to John Williams' Star Wars score. It's a fraking masterpiece.
Frakkin' incredible. Truly the greatest television soundtrack of all time. Thank you, Bear! So Say We All!
They better use you in the new Battlestar Galactica movie or tv show they are working on.

24:05 - This music just blew me away when I first heard it. Just amazing. I was sad to see it end...
The story of this series' soundtrack creation is one of my favourite of all time.
