Companies take advantage of technology all time and replace people through equipment investment. They company that doesn’t take advantage of ways to reduce cost and improve product don’t survive. Also, you must have never run a business and dealt with employees, else you’d understand why companies try to minimize head count whenever possible.

Until CEOs start taking a pay cut and people who actually do the work start getting paid what they are worth you will see this. Why should the worker give a F… when they can’t even afford what’s on said company’s menu
Yep, used to be high school and college kids but I noticed that changed in the 2010s with almost all fast food places where I live employing middle aged Hispanic women
Wendy's is absolutely filthy and disgusting ..the help is horrendous ...the food is terrible... now... and it's ...not just the prices ...its awful
Automation is the only chance they have, can’t hire decent people these days, and it’s not just because of hourly pay rate. Society has raised a generation of entitled, rude slovenly folks. Don’t expect fast food places to improve until automation replace most job functions and only the best workers get jobs.

Family of 5, we spend $40 to $50 at wendys every time, and thats partially eating off the value menu
Haven't had a chili in"20-years since the quality dropped-!!!😳.
Too much trouble to cook at home considering those prices?
$50 will buy 5 NY Strip steaks, baked potatoes, and sour cream.. I work in a meat dept and a 3pc family pack of NY strip average $30 and that's for three 16oz steaks.. Steaks are also super quick and easy to cook in a cast iron fry pan on the stove top....LG baked potatoes cook in 6-8 minute in a micro way and come out amazing.. The fact people are forking out 20 bucks on FF take out for one person is borderline moronic.
@mikeborrelli193 i know. Guilty as charged. Lol. Sometimes its just the family is screaming for fast food so we be lazy and cave, its often times cuz were not home due to sports, appointments, activities, etc... and they like the french fries, even though they are poison
well, if the suckers pay----------
Quit Wendy's years ago, tired of half warm burgers, stale rolls, terrible fries since they changed. In the '70's - '90's their stuff was really good but when Dave departed it went down...fast. Actually, started downhill before he passed.
wendy serves cold burgers and half raw fries that taste like cardboard
People can’t afford Fast Food, so let’s raise property taxes!
@@grandpapete417 All the property taxes are going to the teachers and police. They keep hiring more teachers and more police when the population is losing and dropping and there is less crime
I used to eat at Wendy's about once a month now I never eat there. The reason is their food quality fell and I no longer wanted to eat it. Also their stores are dirty, their employees are obese and look like personal hygiene was a concept that well was just to hard to do. It became disgusting really....

It was better in the 90s and early 2000s. The quality is declining.

Most people can still afford things, we are just choosing not to. Georgia Assembly voted 3 rate hikes on electricity. Its hot at my house. I just had a friend post his electric bill on Facebook. $956.60.
Ground chuck at Ingles has been being $7.99 lb. I refuse to pay that. Instead of burgers, I made tenderloin sandwiches for $3.28 lb. Orange juice has been $4.98 at Walmart. I got laura lynn for $1.98 at Ingles. Salads for 99 cents to $1.99.
I'm heating up a red baron pizza. Haven't had one in years but its on sale this week for $3.98. I buy whatever is on sale.
How do you know "most people can still afford things?" "If they are just choosing not to" well maybe that is a sign that they really can't afford things... My view is if they can afford things why are they not still eating out despite higher prices??

Steve, I think they are cooking the books to create a narrative that gives these fast food gIants an excuse to lay off many many many workers then replace them with automation. Automated cashiers, automated food prep machines, they can run the whole location on a 2 person team forever into the future until they can run the location on a zero person team.
Don’t understand why there’s be a need to alter financial records to implement any change in manning levels at their businesses. Companies take advantage of technology all time and replace people through equipment investment. They company that doesn’t take advantage of ways to reduce cost and improve product don’t survive. Also, you must have never run a business and dealt with employees, else you’d understand why companies try to minimize head count whenever possible.
Perhaps companies like Wendy's and McDonalds just suck. We shouldn't take the word of fast food brands with perpetually poor service saying they have a bad outlook therefore it must be the economy. Maybe people just don't like their food anymore and prefer Chipotle and many other places. I've seen a major shift away from fast food in my circle of family and friends.
People would buy their garbage if they could. But they can’t
I'm hoping this indirectly steers America into a marginally healthier country. Would be incredible for the economy as a whole.
