      i remember hearing about a woman who had been by the bedside of her mother who was dying on one day, and then was at the bedside of her daughter giving birth the next. she said the space and energy in the rooms on both occasions was equivalent, awe inspiring and tremendous . those words ring true reading this poem, and also witnessing what is going on in Ukraine, as well as other parts of the world

      Thank you for this. Much needed pointing for me.The recent events in Ukraine have been much on my mind and heart. Spent days not being able to listen to the news. Also dealing with the eminent death of a loved one. This has felt like the same energy around birth. Still I continue to seek that great stillness in myself. It helps me face each day better, whatever the waves of challenges.

    The heart that's not broken and whole at the same time is not a heart. I have family on both sides. Can not help myself holding the world on my shoulders , do not have active army to my name to interfere. Stable mind and hope beyond hope to see what might God want from such an unfinished critters . Thanks for keeping the flame.

    The worst of things can have the potential to create positive change. I was able to see the worst in myself, and inquiring into that evoked the desire to be present in this moment and create value. I see this current conflict as an opportunity for peoples of the world to take seriously the impact of our doings, and create solutions that enable our children to live healthy, happy lives free of imbalance and destruction of this wonderful Earth.

    Thank You forever for the wisdom Angelo speaks Amen
    “Almighty and ever-living God: We ask to be Thy servant, O’Lord, and to be a vehicle of Divine Love, a channel of Thy Will. We ask for direction and Divine assistance, and we surrender all personal will through devotion to Thy Truth. We dedicate our life to Thy service. Help us to choose love and peace above all other options, and to surrender all of our judgements to Thee, that we might have unconditional love and compassion for all of life in all of its expressions and surrender our very life to Thee at all times in all places. Gloria in Excelsis Deo, now and forever, Amen.” 🙏 Dr. David R. Hawkins

    “Things falling apart is a kind of testing and also a kind of healing. We think the point is to pass the test or to overcome the problem, but the truth is that things don’t really get solved. They come together and they fall apart. Then they come together again and fall apart again. It’s just like that. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy.”

You addressed and smoothed restless energies which needed a bit of relational sympatico. Every moment is a new adventure. Thich Naht Han is here and now alive in the poem. In remembrance, recall and felt sense flow of being. Love Him so much. Peace to us all. Tlazochamati.

    I love this message. Yes there will always going to be things in the media that are going to cause anxiety and fear that we have little or no control over. I personally have been so engaged in watching the news lately that I do feel this heaviness and melancholy that I normally do not because I hardly ever watch the news. And through these images of war my heart goes out to the the People Of Ukraine and the soldiers in these difficult times. My band and I produced an instrumental song in Chicago last week to pay tribute the Ukrainian People, and indirectly, I think in doing so, it has drawn me into following this war more closely because we are getting a lot of comments from Ukrainians who are directly affected by it. If you click on the icon it will take you to our channel if you would like to listen to it. I sort of feel that art and music, etc. play a part in helping people to reflect inward and possibly as a collective, become more engaged in a more peaceful frame of mind. Thanks for listening - if you do - it sounds somewhat like Pink Floyd and Michael Kiwanuka.

    Hi Angelo, have you seen Winter on Fire? I would be interested in hearing what you make of it. The events in the documentary are often described as a "unique singularity" where millions of people from all religions, races and backgrounds coming together as a single unit to help stop suffering in the most pure and selfless way. Watching it a few days ago I felt this pure energy and intense connection to the people in a way I never felt before.

    In the beginning are our thoughts basically just there to help us attune to whatever “station” we want to attune to until we find the station we like enjoy most and once we find that station we can throw out the tuner?.. is that far off?

    • @SimplyAlwaysAwake
      @SimplyAlwaysAwake  2 роки тому +3

      Not sure if I can say why thoughts are actually there. They may simply be a side effect of having a complex human brain. One thing is clear though and that is that identity dropping out of thoughts results in deep peace.

      in 2015 I watched the refugee movement right in front of my door, they brought buses full of refugees in 15 minutes invervals, just with a plastic bag, thin jackes, open shoes, nothing else, it was winter here at that time. Exhausted women with little children having a rest/sleeping on the floor they only had a bit of luggage with them. There were many pple who wanted to help, they brought masses of stuff for them, water, clothes, food, toys, offering accomodation it was amazing. Just imagine what a big strain it is to escape from Syria, Afganistan, Pakistan - to Europe.
      Today I was at the railway station hall saw pple queueing at an refugee information desk, women with little children and a bit of luggage, it is heartbreaking. They expect masses to come.
      But at the same time it brings out the best in pple, here are a lot of pple who want to help.
      I am deeply sorrow for all who die on both sides and all that pain of the mothers and fathers who loose their children, of the women and children who loose their husbands and fathers, of the families that are torn appart, and all uncertainties, stress, fears and traumas on both sides, it is so senseless.

    The uncompromising position seems to be there is no I, therefore nobody is suffering, it's just what's happening.
    Then there is your viewpoint seems to be that it's all happening around an I, which means there is personal suffering etc. Which needs to understood....sort of stoic position.

    • @SimplyAlwaysAwake
      @SimplyAlwaysAwake  2 роки тому +2

      No specific position, but I hope you didn't hear me say in there that no one is suffering bc that is clearly not the case. To summarize what I said fairly simply is that regardless of circumstances we have the ability to end violence within ourselves. A green forst is made up of individual green trees. We cannot make the forest green but we can become greener ourselves :)

    Everybody has a part in creating a world of dictators, and one is not much different than the other. The only difference is that some leave office and some don't. As I see it, people love to be ruled and controlled, but freedom begins here, and ends in salvation.
    Edit: Demanding a King
    The point is .. do you want to be led by greedy delusional men, or do you want to led beyond. Even if you're not a Bible thumper, there's a valuable lesson here, and if you don't learn it, there is no end to stress and suffering, because there is clinging.
    1And it came to pass, when Samuel was old, that he made his sons judges over Israel. 2Now the name of his firstborn was Joel; and the name of his second, Abiah: they were judges in Beersheba. 3And his sons walked not in his ways, but turned aside after lucre, and took bribes, and perverted judgment.
    4Then all the elders of Israel gathered themselves together, and came to Samuel unto Ramah, 5And said unto him, Behold, thou art old, and thy sons walk not in thy ways: now make us a king to judge us like all the nations. 6But the thing displeased Samuel, when they said, Give us a king to judge us. And Samuel prayed unto the LORD. 7And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them. 8According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt even unto this day, wherewith they have forsaken me, and served other gods, so do they also unto thee. 9Now therefore hearken unto their voice: howbeit yet protest solemnly unto them, and shew them the manner of the king that shall reign over them.
    Samuel's Warning About Kings
    10And Samuel told all the words of the LORD unto the people that asked of him a king. 11And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots. 12And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots. 13And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers. 14And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants. 15And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants. 16And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work. 17He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants. 18And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day.
    God Grants the Request
    19Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us; 20That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles. 21And Samuel heard all the words of the people, and he rehearsed them in the ears of the LORD. 22And the LORD said to Samuel, Hearken unto their voice, and make them a king. And Samuel said unto the men of Israel, Go ye every man unto his city.
