I have tested countless things. The single things that really worked in my case: A good diet, proper sleeping timings, moving your body at least for 20 mins, eating right, using good shampoo and oil. I use just liitlleexttra cooconinon shampoo and lightweight hair oil for this purpose and it does the job. The hairfall got controlled with it.
Pleasant smell and rich hair oil from littllllextra coocoonnioon. Saw positive results after using the one month. Hairfall is gone and my hair has thickened.
Stop advertising that bruh. All
I see are Indians advertising the same product with the same type of comments. We don’t want to use that product
Coconionon???
I've never met another man as into hair and hair science as much as myself. I guess long hairs are alike🙃
Your hair is beautiful
Jesus
Damnn your hair 🛐🛐🛐
Long hair gang
The man is to hair what Stonehenge is to rocks!
Wow i've been oiling my hair for nearly 10 years now and coconut oil is the one that has the most noticeable results for my hair (Shine, scalp health, no split ends, softness) so I continue to use it!
May i know.. When do u use it? Is it daily.. Or everytime before u shower?
Does it help with extreme poofy hair after showering
What about mustard oil?
@@nocapfacts9330 I've never tried mustard oil will have to add it to my shopping list.
Mainsteain media, tries to downplay things from Indian culture.
i use grapeseed oil for my hair, scalp and face. works good for me, i am acne prone but it doesn't clog my pores at all and actually helps reduce my acne imo
Does it help remove blackheads?
Wow. He did not reasearch about Rosemary oil or Thyme oil 🤔🤔
In South India from childhood we use warm coconut oil for hair and skin before almost every bath, I didn't even know why we did that except as tradition from ancestors for healthy hair and skin and we did that from young as 4-5yrs old.
Do you apply coconut oil before bath everyday ??
Which coconut oil do u use ?
Ringa dinga
After many trial and errors - I am very comfortable with COCONUT OIL AND CONSIDER IT BEST FOR ME .🙂
When and how do you use it
No one broke down oils like you did. Awesome man.
I’ve researched this topic for 6 years and this is the best video I’ve seen yet
Wow. He did not reasearch about Rosemary oil or Thyme oil 🤔🤔. I wish he did mention to his young viewers that Genes also plays a role in your body.
You just need to put whatever grows locally. Make sure its good. For me, I am a Nepali. I put mustard oil once or twice a week and wash it. Oils are what made Indian Subcontinent have such beautiful and thick hair.
I believe in adding good oils to my diet. Oils like pure virgin olive oil, flaxseed oil, coconut oil, cod liver oil. This way you get to lubricate not only your hair but also your skin and internal organs. Working from within your body rather than putting oils on surface.
Smart! 😯🤔
I’m 68 with white hair to my waist. My hair is very porous, so no matter how much conditioner I use, the bottom half of my hair just blows away devoid of moisture. I’ve been using an inexpensive grapeseed serum from Body Shop to great effect. Each morning I’ll dampen the bottom of my hair with a water mister and apply the grapeseed serum with my fingers…brush and let dry. It leaves my hair shiny with its natural waves intact, and keeps the moisture from leaching out. This daily routine has been keeping my porous hair shiny and retains its moisture between wash/conditioning days. This is saving the ends of my hair from all kinds of breakage and damage.
That’s the goal. I want a sick ass man bun when I’m in my 60s
I like using coconut oil with a couple of drops of rosemary oil so far. It's working as far as I can tell.
My hair is wavy and just at my shoulders. Normally, I encounter snags when I first comb it (and I sleep in a terribly hot room, ugh!). I did the coconut oil treatment before washing my hair as you directed and boy, when I got up the next day, my wide toothed comb just slid through without a problem! Thanks!
Thank you for the scientific videos. Out of all the people giving personal opinion based advice, your science backed videos are a breath of fresh air!
Jamaican Black Castor oil + Sesame Oil for roots and Coconut oil for the body of the hair, that's me but everyone is unique.
Any recommendations for Jamaican Black Castor oil? In India tropic isle castor oil is very costly as it is imported. So please recommend any good black castor oil in India.
When i was young my mother always put coconut oil in my hair. And she was made a coconut oil in our house..coconut oil is the best❤
used both argan and sometimes coconut oil
My hair is super happy
I use a blend of sweet almond oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, and Argan oil in my beard and hair. I use very light amounts of it in my hair. I just got some apricot kernel oil which I’m planning on trying
I'm sticking with coconut oil cause I want great hair like yours. It's really nice and the length I want! You look great guy!
Awesome video! I’m a senior citizen who has been oiling my hair for years. My oil of choice is coconut oil, however, I like to use a mixture of coconut & argan & jojoba oils. The mixture is what I like to concentrate on my scalp then work into my hair. I get complimented frequently on how pretty my hair is ❣️
@@elijahmelendez9864 thanks for asking. I use several different shampoos & conditioners for various reasons. On oiling days, which is every other week, I use a clarifying shampoo (Neutrogena is good). I love the L’Oréal Ever Pure/Ever Strong shampoo & conditioners….they are as good, if not better, than expensive brands. My personal fav is Ever Strong (green tubes). I also use a dandruff shampoo weekly to keep my scalp healthy..love the Head Shoulders Royal oils. Hair masks are a must, especially if your hair is longer. Best budget mask..L’Oréal Elvive Power Restore. BTW I am Caucasian with shoulder length wavy, sometimes dry hair.
"Can you please tell me the percentage combination of coconut oil, and argan oil, that you use? Idont have jojoba Should they be mixed together beforehand, or only when we want to use them?"
Thank you so much! I have done extensive research on hair this whole summer because nothing has seemed to tame my frizz. I have low porosity curly hair and either products are too heavy and made for Type 4 hair or they are too light and made for very loose curl patterns. So I have turned to hair oils to help reduce frizz and add shine. Throughout my research, I decided that argan oil and almond oil would work best and you basically confirmed this at the end of the video. I'm so happy that I seem to be at the end of this frizzy hair journey. Great video! 💜
I have a similar hair type to Trav, really fine and quite thick. I did an overnight Argan oil treatment the other day and my hair has never been softer or more manageable, and it looks healthier than ever too. Argan won't clog your pores either.
I use coconut oil for growth. Sometimes I use castor oil or mix the two together. Castor oil is too thick to use on its own. Coconut oil helped my hair grow past the stage it refused to move past years ago.
My scalp doesn't produce oil like it used to when I washed it daily. I wash my hair every two weeks, but I wet and condition it on a daily basis. I also use big sexy hair love oil on a daily basis on my hair. My stylist said my hair is super healthy.
I’m growing out my hair and got recommended mixing castor, argon and coconut oil then applying when warm into my hair and leaving for a few hours to help grow faster and healthier. Was wondering if this is a good way and if so what products does anyone recommend? Thanks
I actually got recommended this too! I'm gonna try this, but I see people having a really good result with it
Eat onions
You will not regret. Go for it.
Coconut oil can actually clog ur hair follicles and stop hair growth if you use too much of it on ur scalp
I make a concoction of Castor oil, coconut oil, tea tree oil and warm water. I make it about 70% water, 20% Castor oil, 9% coconut oil and 1% (a tiny amount) of tea tree oil as a rough guide. I've been using this for a couple of years now once per week as a mask and I must say I can't tell the difference in growth, but the strength of my hair has definitely improved. Less breakage and droppage when washing. I generally wet my hair with warm water, warm up my mix, give it a good shake and apply all over and leave for several hours before washing out.
What I found to be true is that if you produce a lot of sebum, using an oil on your scalp can actually help reduce that natural production. Your body notices it's getting oil from elsewhere and eases up a bit. Helpful for people like me who suffer from an overproduction of sebum.
This is very true! I have very oily skin though the T-zone but began to use Olive oil on my face as a night moisturiser for the dry areas of my face. Ocaisionally I may forget to put some on after cleansing at night and in the morning I note my skin hasn't produced nearly as much oils as previously. This did worry me so I stopped for period of time to see if the oil production would return, and to my surprise it did!
Very informative. What's the correct order to apply your products after washing? Is it serum to damp/dry hair, oils of choice, then style with your desired products?
I was just researching this, LOL!I would love to hear your advice on keeping hair moisturized in the winter. Its easy in the summer due to the humidity, but these Canadian winters are brutal for curly hair!
If u don't have dandruff issue then use castor oil for winter. If u have dandruff issue or flakes then do research I will recommend argon oil mix with mustard or almond oil for winter. I live in canada too so I know how hard it is in winter
Agreeing with the other reply, I have also heard that mustard oil works great in cold weather. Make sure to get cold pressed and unrefined without any additives
I love the science and explanation in this video! I need more explanations like this for hair and for skin!
The hair care community here on youtube needs more science based content. Thankyou so much for sharing!
Ps. I'm a girl and almond oil is my go to
Thank you!! So informative and it takes into consideration that what works for 1 person may not work for everyone but gives the necessary knowledge to self-sufficiently operate with the oils 💪
my hair is 2B/2C type. it tends to be drier on the ends and it makes my hair looks poofy. i have been into hair oil since last year, and i had been trying coconut oil, sunflower oil, and castor oil.
sunflower oil works best for me, it moisture my hair a lot and so makes my hair shinier and less poofy. coconut oil makes my hair bristle, while castor oil only helps in styling (both are able to protect hair from swelling but i need something to fix my dry hair, so sunflower is the easiest pick)
thank you for the guide, it helps a lot!
Hello. Do you use it before or after shower?
Thank you so much for this video! This was very educational and helpful as I am an Afro American lady living in the UK. This is the most informative and accurate video I have come across regarding keeping hair adequately moisturized. I use Coconut oil for almost everything. I love its various properties but I didn't realise how penetrating it was to the hair shaft! I got a real education here. Thanks again!
The combination of a science-based approach with an appreciation for aesthetics and practical considerations is just great. Love your videos!
Safflower oil high in linolic acid is good for the hair, with a damp hair and hot oil wit a hot towel wrapped around for 45 min..
I’m a white European woman and I’m so happy with your video. Most hair care videos are either on bleached hair, textured hair or made by people of non-white ancestry. My thin, dead straight Celtic hair is very happy with your advise! Very clearly explained!
Dude.... this vid is so in depth. I have long thick hair, just past my shoulders. I oil and massage my scalp almost nightly. I wash my hair almost daily so being oily isnt an issue for me.
which oil?
@@onionforpresident6545
I use Wen oils
Best explanation ever for hair oils! Thanks!
Thank you!!! I literally just came from the salon. My colorist just said "stay away from coconut oil". When she said that, I knew something was wrong. She is misinformed. We all have long hair. We use organic coconut oil regularly.
What's the difference between coconut butter and oil...can you use both for hair treatment. Thanks.🙆
I prefer olive oil. Second best is almond. Mineral oil works fine for me.
Wow today my mom put jojoba oil in my hair for the first time and covered my whole scalp with it
I have been using Amygrow Herbal Hair Oil for 3 months now and it’s really worth it
I use coconut oil for face and hair. Cold water rinses are a must.
For now my favorite oils are: Olive oil, Argan oil, Castor oil . For skin Argan oil, Avocado oil, Shea butter(for body). I want to try Avocado and Shea butter on my hair too. Unfortunately I have irritation for Coconut oil(eating, touching in general...mild allergy) so I avoid it like a plague.
Am I the only one like 😍🥰 when he started demonstrating how he applies the oil ? I mean how cute ☺️
Thanks for all the info. I over-processed my hair and this has helped me pick the best oil to combat that “crunchy” feeling.
Black Seed Oil and Amla Oil are missing from your table. Where do they fit into the list?
I'm researching a new product and this was extremely informative. Thank you!
This is the smartest video about hair oils I’ve seen, thank you.
I use coconut oil it's really make my hair good n longer.........😊😊😊😊
I just enjoy one thing from this channel
Which is ->
“YEAH MR WHITE
YEAH SCIENCE”
Oh yeah, I wanted to ask: what’s your best recommendations regarding grey hair care? You should do a vid on caring for aged grey hair. I have long 70# grey hair. It’s gotten increasingly thin and frizzy over the last few years and had the idea of putting some beard oil in it.
Wow! I was ASTONISHED at what it did for my hair. I FINALY love my hair again!
I stumbled on this vid trying to get some info on hair oils. Again, you did great and thanks again👊🏻✌🏻
I think that's the most comprehensive video on oils over internet I have ever seen👏 can you please tell when to use sealing oils: after washing my hair when they are wet?, or when they are about to dry & are damp? or when they are completely dried???
this was really interesting to me. Im just now growing out my hair but i have had a beard for years now. ive used several products to soften my hair because its super coarse and thick. i looked at the beard butter i use that has worked the best. it is the Live Bearded brand sandalwood and vanilla. it has; shea butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil, sweet almond oil, and grapeseed oil in that order. i find i have to apply twice a day while hair is damp. i'm going to use more coconut oils for my hair conditioning since it has worked well for my beard. thanks for the tip
Please give us a hair rutine on how you get that wavy volumeous look that you have in the thumbnail🙏🙏🙏
I’m glad I found you. This is intensive and extensive. I have a question, what oil would be best for hair loss?
Saw palmetto, pumpkin seed, rosemary, peppermint, lavender, are all good options
OGX is mostly a silicone: clotetrasiloxane, Isododecane, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Phenyl Trimethicone, Water (Aqua), Propylene Glycol, Fragrance (Parfum). Why not use real coconut oil, melted, used sparingly?
Olaplex Bonding oil is mostly Silicone as well. Because of these silicones I use a clarifying shampoo every 2 weeks to get the coating off my hair.
Bro your vids are amazing and high quality. You deserve more than 5 millions subscribers, you’ll get there trust.
Best I’ve heard for explanation on this topic I am Of African with a mix of indian In there decent ...and Always understood this topic but now I have this knowledge from u to another level ...just the way u broke this down so very very well I now am ready to shop ..now I get why my hair does what it does with the same oils, based on which products I use ... I also believe u are the best I have heard explain what moisturizing is .. it’s first I’m seeing your channel wish I saw u before ... I’m thankful God allowed me these tips and I mean that ! Thanks much ..blessings
wow,, i know this is targeted towards mostly/mainly men but some of us ladies needa watch this too lol, thank you. this video has a lot of science-backed clarity which relieves me a lot, now most of my stress is left in finding the exact degrees of porosity in my hair since it's probably naturally coarser but it's been bleach damaged.
I'm a lady and I'm watching.😊
Me too
Yep, hair is hair. I like the video and it’s good information. I definitely get better hair when I use oils. I sometimes do a hot coconut oil prewash mask and I use Moroccanoil products that contain argan oil….they’re fantastic.
what oil is best for dry hair and thin hair ?
Coconut oil stiff my hair next day,
olive oil is my favorite, hair remain soft.
Cool video - I imagine the The Natural Haven would appreciate being cited, along with the authors of the other papers displayed on screen. Would you be open to doing this in future?
Aw man, you gotta add subtitles on you videos, would be super helpful towards us deaf & hard of hearing people.
Good idea!
I have a question about wearing a hat while trying to grow my hair out. It's currently not long enough to tie back and I don't like top knots or man buns or w/e you want to call them. I work 7h a day 5 days a week. Would wearing a hat to keep my hair out of my eyes damage it to much?
Beware that hat does not apply too much pressure to your head and restrict the blood floww
what do you think about 'Black Seed' oil as a sealant? I would think it would fall under 'High Penetration' and 'High Sealant'. And what kind of oil do you recommend to oil the scalp?
I heard olive oil is closest to the natural oils of our body! So I will use olive oil and almond oil in case my hair gets dry. (mediterranean style). Coconut oil is very tropical.
do you have any videos on testicle hair because i wanna grow mine out and braid it????
THIS WAS SO WELL EXPLAINED ✨ Do you have any recommendations for heat protectants? 🥺😭😭
Yessss. Preach fam! Thanks for putting science back into hair!!! Learning so much and keen to grow my hair
I have fine, naturally blonde hair, and for the past month I've been using castor oil, but I've come to find that it is indeed way too thick for me. I've just ordered argan oil and I hope that it's going to work better for me!
Castor oil is meant to be diluted with a thinner oil 👍 I mix it with coconut but argan oil is wonderful too!
I am Hispanic and I need oil I have thick course hair..so I only wash my hair once a week and I do coconut oil treatments and mayo yes mayo treatments ...I also just started to put jojoba oil with oat seed oil and no joke my hair is soft and silky and super hydrated when I put it in my hair...
This is one of the best video I've seen on hair care 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Interesting! What happens when mixing moisturizing and penetrating oils together? I.e. mixing rice bran and coconut oil or another mix of multiple oils? Will the moisturizing oils have deeper penetration, less penetration, or about the same?
do you apply the caster oil after you wet the hair and does it give a wet shiny look all day?
So you should be using the oil as a treatment before you wash your hair or after it's been washed as a leave in? Thanks
Can we use coconut oil daily ? Actually I wash my hair after every 3 to 4 days. So please tell me if I can use coconut oil when I go in sunlight
Thank you, i learned a lot from this video
very impressive details and easy to understand. really thank you for this good effort and I Realy want to say the most effective oil for my ( wavy - High porous - dry ) hair is (Coconut oil) not only but the best oil in result ---> now I understand Why.
Very informative. Good quick tips on different oils. Things that i did not realise about my own hair
Question: I have thick hair and have recently grown it out this winter and its cold so i wear a hat alot. My scalp have started to itch and I have also gotten some dandruff. Which oil should i use? I have straight and fine hair
Exactly what I was looking for! You are totally genius! Thanks!
What oil is good for thickness and growth
Thx ❤
Can you show a video on hair vitamins such as "Biotin" and B5 oil for hair.
Argan oil is one of the best natural ingredients for hair.
I am not a man but I really enjoyed this video, thank you
should you use hair oils daily?
This is a very good video, just what I was looking for, thank you so much!
Iv always used almond oil an coconut oil my mother used to put olive oil when I was a kid never ever used gel
Loved this video! What is your opinion on orange oil? Can it be used daily? Thank you very much!
Amazingly informational video as always. I have been experimenting with different oils as well and I found that prewash coconut oil mask and post wash fee drops of argan oil works wonders for me. Thanks, Mentor. 🙏
Awesome!
Hey Travis could you look into this horse shampoo and conditioner called Main and tail I’ve heard from a couple people that it works very well and it even helps your hair grow faster if you see this I hope you could do a video over this topic !!
Hey, Could you make a video on having the need to wash your hair more often for certain hair types? I feel the need to wash my hair everyday, else I have intense breakage if I don't.
Same here
Wow... after all this time and I FINALLY am armed with the valuable information I have needed for years and couldn't even get from my fellow 4c gurus! 😮
I am of African and Middle-Eastern descent with low porosity 4c African textured hair and I have always struggled with oils as they often make my hair dry, stiff and brittle. Shea butter and Castor have been God's gift to my hair and now I know that oils should be used at a MINIMUM and with heat for my type. Thank you so very much for this breakdown that I have been searching for for YEARS! 😇🙏🏾
Dude…I’m so confused now. 🤔
Not your fault though; your explanation of these products and their respective applications was concise and coherent. I’m just a little high. 😁
Anyway, I’ll watch it again when I come down. Then I’ll laugh at this comment. 😁
Thanks for the video man! VERY helpful✌🏻
Which brushes are the best for each type of hair 🧑
Great video! Very informative. Which oil would you recommend to put on hair before swimming to minimize the damage from chlorine?
I'd recommend fresh water first and coconut oil
You have beautiful hair, and I respect your science. Great video! Thanks for sharing!
100% Coconut Oil Is The Best...
wow this got way more into the science then I thought it would
