I can 100% back Dan's statements up. I've owned numerous RAM mounts and lost a phone to them. They break down over time and are just trash. Bought a Quad Lock mount with vibration adapter about a year ago and haven't looked back. It feels great to ride knowing my phone isn't going to blow off on the highway and also that the camera is protected.
I bought a quad lock a couple of years ago after hearing your suggestions and after breaking my second ram mount in 6 months. Over 2 years and not a single issue.
As a gamer i would say my hand-eye coordination, seeing ahead, & anyways being aware about my surroundings helped with my driving everyday, once I get my Motorcycle License & my 🏍️ hopefully it could transition to the Motorcycle
I recommend a Motorcycle Safety Foundation course regardless of your gaming experience. There are certain physics of riding that are different, and also some aspects of gaming that help you succeed in gaming, will flat out get you killed on a bike. Think target fixation. Your bike will go where you are looking. It's magic!
I've been using a Quad Lock since way back when you were promoting the Rokform. The reason I want back to the RAM Quick Grip is because the cases are too expensive and the adhesive one makes a hump on the back of the phone that prevents wireless charging. Also, I can't lay my phone down flat it wobbles around. Otherwise great product.
I use my iPhone on my Motorcycle for one reason only. All five of my gopros connect to it. I can start them and start them from the iphone. My standard practice is to start the gopros first, then give my horn three beeps to help me synch all videos in post production. I only stop gopros when I stop bike (not riding). I use external anker batteries so my gopros will record for over 12 hours.
I’m recovering from a accident where I was thrown off my bike and the only thing that was recoverable was my phone with my quadlock. 10/10 would recommend
Got mine for the bike and the truck. Good positive lock and great for off road. Looking to see about mounting a camera like the GoPro, I need a good run time. I ride a good hour twice a week to the range one way.
Why did you give up on Rockform? When I first started watching you, you were all about Rockform. I went out and bought my Rockform mount and case because of you. Now I see you promoting Quad Lock. Honestly, how do you live with their wobbly phone cases? The Rockform case is so much nicer, it doesn't wobble, and the magnetic feature is awesome!
Any recommendations for a very secure method that doesn’t require a specific case? I have a Spigen armor case that is the perfect balance of armor and slim. I was interested in this quadlock till I learned I needed their case. I do have a perfect mount location on my Vstream windshield frame right above speedo. I just want it for GPS use on my iPhone. I used Sena 30 for intercoms.
Seems like a quality product. I'm saving up money for a bike again (been a few years since my last one, were bouncing around apartments and had to get rid of it) I'll definitely keep this on the ahopping list!
Scoundrels have been knocking phones off the grab mounts in my town! Quad lock 🔐 is simply the best 😅, I am in the process of bolting and gorrila liquid cementing my AliExpress generic mount to a dry box case for my bicycle and quad lock brake reservoir mount been using quad lock for around 7 years 😊doing food delivery 📦, cracked a lens on my bicycle mount. Does jam sometimes. In the rainy United Kingdom 🇬🇧 destroyed my £700 phone and the poncho is crap let’s water in and voids touch screen. Go for full waterproof wires too checks quad lock 🔐
Does the wireless mount have an on/off switch on the mount? Or is it just on the wire? I see people hiding the switch under the seat. Kind of defeats the purpose of being able to select different modes. You don’t really want to keep a charged phone on an active charger. It wears your battery. Being able to toggle the charger power off easily is huge.
Peak design makes a way better mount. It has the vibration dampening. It has wireless charging. And they make mounts for everything. So I use my phone in my truck, it charges wirelessly, I can grab it from there and snap it right onto my bike. It connects with magnets and an actual clip so it’s quick and secure. After using peak design I could never go back to quad lock.
What do you guys over your phone screen? I imagine it could be troublesome if the sun was shining directly on your phone's screen and it becomes hard to look at.
Worst thing is there is no universal case, unless you have the few specific models. The adhesive is dumb, it doesn't protect from weather. As bikers we had universal waterproof pouches for years, but nothing from there. I guess they care too much to look cool than to be functional.
@@SandBetweenTheTeeth there are. If you have the perfect case then that type would work for you. Personally, the quadlock case is one of the best I’ve had, so I might as well use their mounting system. My hands are big enough to where the little bit of thickness doesn’t matter compared to the naked phone.

Just got a quad lock with vibration dampener and really like it. It’s definitely the best out there.

I’ve had mine for almost a year now with the vibration dampener it’s been great
I used to use my phone on the handle bars, but it overheated in hot weather so I got a Garmin sat nav.

they don't pay him
I thought so. 🤣
Nice vest! what vest do you wear there? > the green one /w 2 orange/red breast stripes

Didnt you use Rokform mount before?
He's been sponsored by Quad Lock for a while now but yeah he had a Rokform sponsor before.
Just got mine today 👍👍
I’m thinking about getting the Quad Lock but purchasing the universal adapter so I can use my case

How are these with the brake/clutch mount on taller bars? I haven't seen anyone with it on apes.
Thanks
I'd get a quadlock, but they don't make a case for my phone :/
Do they have a case that fits with moto G3 pure? I'm not going to glue it's "universal adapter" to the back of my phone.
What do you guys over your phone screen? I imagine it could be troublesome if the sun was shining directly on your phone's screen and it becomes hard to look at.
Mounting bracket, OK. Damper, OK. Holder? How do I get a compatible one with my phone? How does my phone stay dry in a downpour of rain?
Quad Lock makes a rain poncho that covers the case / phone.

What is the % chance that I'm going to lost my phone? this mount looks really risky
what happen to rockform or whatever that phone mount was? 😂😂😂
0:18 chemtrail or should I say, stratospheric aerosol injection.
doesn't work with my samsung flip... 🤷♂
Oki
Quad lock is way too expensive!
Tips for maximizing road safety… don’t look at your phone while you’re riding.
Unless you're using it as a speedometer because your actual speedometer doesn't work, lol
How else will I watch my cooking videos?!
I use it as a GPS so it's kinda necessary. Plus, the amount of time I look at the GPS is similar to looking at my speedometer as well
Ok
It requires an ugly case that makes your phone thicker
the magsafe case is flat on the back so it doesn’t have a hump. Not that thick especially compared to other cases with similar levels of protection.
@@ZSmith-yy4lv there are some solutions with springs that don't require special cases.

does this guy ride himself? Ive scrolled down 100 videos only see him do reactions and talk smart
Thanks for the add, you are shameless.
