Even if you didn’t know Timothée was a celebrity, he definitely stood out in the group. I watched this with my aunt and she said he was her favourite without even knowing he was famous. When I told her she said, “After performing like that, he deserves it.”
I know we're all here for Timothée, but can we please appreciate everyone else on that stage??? They were fantastic, especially when you look back and he's so successful.
@@selenemariscal5475 Sorry for the late reply! Basically, the monologue comes from a book called "Dear White People" and it points out all the hidden racist thoughts many people have against black people in a lighthearted way. Timothee spent 85% of the monologue being hateful towards black people, and at the end he says, "what right does any human being have to be hateful?" The whole monologue is ironic and showing how hypocritical that thought process is.
This was very inspiring. I loved the focus of many of the actors. I take a lot from these guys. They make me want to work hard to provide a professional appearance (expression of life) while performing! Way to go!
1) Yes they are, everyone is nervous about stuff like this, it’s normal human behaviour. Some people just deal with it better than others. Does not mean they are scared. 2) Months of practise. It’s not actually difficult to remember it all when you break it down into little sections, like first the intro, then the acting scene, then the monologues, then the finale. Just takes time and practice, this wasn’t done over night.
justice smith was amazing and so was timothee and the fact at the end timothee just bowed and didnt say anything sort of explains his awkwardness in interviews
dont get me wrong - came for Timmy and stayed for him, but my girl Gabi Campo!!!! I saw her as Emma in the The Prom and shes absolutely amazing, shes the girl in the white and sequin dress
OMG IT'S JUSTIN SMITH 😂😂😂😂 Justin and Timothee KILLED it. I was just watching these bc I was criticing them bc I'm a bored theatre kid then all of a sudden I see two amazing actors 😂😂😂
I really wish YoungArts would cite the monologues and songs that are being preformed :/ Does anyone know where the monologue that is preformed at 47:52 is from? I have been searching using every key word and I'm finding nothing.
I'm trying to figure out if "Ole for hollywood!" where the latin aerobics class monologue is from, is a published play. If anyonw finds out, please TELL ME!
Okay but like that girl talking about white trash. Dude. Thats ok to say??? But if the roles were reversed than it would be racist? UH?? TAlking bad about any race because of their race, its racist no matter what
