I bought the game just because it was based on the work of one of my fav. Sci Fi authors of all time. At first I was like "well this is boring" but I... just...couldn't...stop... playing this game is mesmerizing as hell. It's more like a work of art than a game.
Yes it is more than a normal game and it is not for every day normal gamer. The game is made for the fans of Lev and a tribute. it's all about touching his imaginary world and dive in it via the game. I think only the one of us that read Lem books and knows his philosophic ideas can understand this game as well.
I never preorder anything but this is based on a Stanislaw Lem book. One of the greatest sci-fi writers ever. Instant buy. It's gonna be an insane experience in VR.
This story was great! Shame it wasnt abit longer! I stupidly ditched my rover after thinking i needed to enter the base stealthily and walked to far to comprehend going back for it 😅 luckily they had another further along 😂
The style of the tech is more atompunk then artdeco and the environments and vistas remind me of the artwork from the Terran Trade Authority book Series of the late 70's, in particularly the book titled Spacewreck.
Problems: running, focus on the scope often not working properly, some minor graphic glitches here and there. But the story and atmosphere of this game is pretty much the same as book is. Highly recommend playing and then reading "The Invincible".
Please stop hiring voice actors to read your gaming reviews. It is frequently read as if the speaker doesn't understand what they're saying. It would be better if the writer read their own material, even if they're not a confident speaker. Cheaper for production too.
is combat the only thing you consider gameplay? I haven't played Alan Wake, but thinking a game needs combat in order to be worth experiencing makes you sound like a child.
The term walking simulator needs to be retired. "This game doesnt have combat so theres no possible way to describe it besides the fact that you can walk". Thats like saying "this book is just a conversation simulator. People talk throughout the whole thing"
Invincible is the mighty ship that never comes, or for some did. Bro. Your lazy review hurts my feelings. Stanisław Lem IQ 185 thought of nanobots and cell phones in the 60's. The crew of your main protagonist's ship is just a Dragonfly. Game is amazing, but clearly not for American type of audiance.
@@dwirtz0116 I appreciate you trying to make me think, but I'm more genuinely interested in what u belive the propaganda is for. Theres alot happening now and too much for me to narrow down atm

Maybe reminds me to Firewatch... But on a far planet, the first one is a masterpiece in his genre

I love real "story-driven walking simulators". I hate combat and puzzles. I want to relax after a hard workday. Looks like this game is for me.

I'm impressed with the story and graphics of this game. I love this 60's future aesthetic.

I like it. I did get kinda stuck in random places and had to do a lot of wsad gymnastics to free myself.
Kind of game I get later on for $10.
These 'walking simulators' ought to be leveraging VR. They're perfect for it.
But walking is the one thing that VR can't handle.
Beautiful landscapes!
This game is super interesting in my opinion.

IGN all those channels do the same thing
I guess how do we know this guy isn't like Falcon from gameranx?
How do you just assume that, as if you know who is even voicing it. You know so much then start your own channel Mr. Know it all
It's probably an AI voice
Falcon is actually good at his job…
Glad I watched this first. Thanks for the review.
everyone's gone to the Rapture as my favorite walking simulator 😊
The book is by Stanislav lem. Great!
This should have been in VR
It’s coming to VR
@@raskolnikov6443that’s awesome to know
Reminds me of Fort Solis. Which was a HUGE disappointment.
Why? I was about to get Fort solis, but now I have doubts...
Thanks for reminding me about this game 😊😊
Already on the wishlist. 😊
So a bit like firewatch but sci fi?
I played the demo and I liked what I played a lot. I'm def gonna be picking this up once my backlog clears.
Great content
And the replayability is...bad?? 🤔
What did ign miss they only gave us his a 5!
I'll buy it if it gets released in VR
Can't wait for this!
Is it better than fire watch
Leagues above, I'd say.
Just 'played' the first half hour of new walking simulator ALAN WAKE 2.
Anyone found the gameplay yet?

Are you kidding?
This gives me ICO vibes... i'm gonna watch more reviews on this, ICO also reviewed poorly back then
This seems like something i would play on my steam deck...fps suck on it...or im just bad
N thank you, i've already had my share of walking simulators with Till Death Stranding.
Play the new layers of fears game
No gun? No shooting. I pass on this one

Every FPS is a walking sim so I'm not sure why they all suddenly need to be titled a walking sim.
where are the monsters where are the guns hahaha
this game is fantastic!!
I prefer playing games where the main character is a man. Is because I can relate more.

Hey
💪🏻😎🔥
Nice
While yes it's a "walking simulator" I also like to refer to games like this as GGSs or Government Grant Subsidized... 😀😆 (Propaganda)
Interesting. Now I’m interested in what agenda it is pushing.
@@raskolnikov6443 Science.
What would u say theyre trying to push with this game?
@@RichXKun Hmmm. Not sure. Think about what some HOT topics are these days... 🤔

Cool
This game looks awful and empty. This is not selling the game well
