I totally get Ramsay's frustration and rage. Nevermind that these people are competing to work in one of his restaurants, but they are supposed to be professional chefs with years of experience and they keep bringing him raw food, fucked up risottos and messed up scallops. These are not acceptable mistakes from supposed professionals. That is literally thousands of dollars of produce that is being wasted on their fuck ups. That's why he goes apeshit at them and not on most Masterchef contestants or the kids.
The kids are learning and while the Masterchef contestants have some experience, it is understood that they have not worked in fancy and high pressure restaurants, so he cuts them some slack, even when tearing into them over their attitude or messed up food.
I completely agree. I only just realized the cost aspect watching random clips today and thinking. Like, they're meant to head a high-end restaurant serving food that costs significantly more than your local Olive Garden's kitchen, plus higher overheads and wages. Fucked up dishes is just money flushed away while also giving the restaurant a bad reputation, fucking the business even more.
This is 100% accurate. The fact that these people have experience but keep fucking up is ridiculous. And the cost aspect which you have brought up is also important.

Gordon does give you the chance, and tries to drive you on, if he sees potential. He reminds me of one of my old martial arts instructors. He was just like that, and once out of class the tough attitude was gone. I got admonished sometimes in front of the other students, but it worked for me. It helped me get past things that were holding me back, and helped me be able to handle tough situations etc in life. Just like Gordon he wasn't perfect. He would sometimes overstep the mark, but he meant well, and despite having many more instructors over the years he will always be my best. All his other students say the same.
Can we just take a minute to show appreciation for the host who helped push and motivate that women back into the kitchen 🥺

I know Ramsey's one of the world's most renowned chefs but there's NO WAY I'd ever sign up for that show or that abuse. Fortunately, I don't have to worry... I have a hard time heating up Chef Boyardee, so I'm pretty sure I'm safe.

That's the point of Hell's Kitchen being such a high-stress environment and Ramsay constantly being in their face, to prepare them for what a career as a leading chef in a 3-Michelan Star restaurant is really like. This isn't overexaggerated or shown up for TV (outside of the editing), this is how it really is in the kitchen of a top-dollar eatery. If you can't cope here, you'll never survive in one of Caesar's Palace's kitchens.
