@Himmarshee Street Live Same deal I loved seeing motorcycle garage, and learned quite a few grease monkey tricks from Ari. ALso. MC commute is not the same without Zack (Chadd, as I always thought his name was)
Zack and Ari were an instrumental part of getting me to finally take the plunge and start riding. In fact it was Zack's MC Commutes review of the CB500F that finally got me to put down the spec sheets on pull the trigger on a purchase, and I could not have been happier with it. I owe these two gentlemen a great deal of gratitude, and I owe one to Revzilla as well for bringing them back to UA-cam.
Zack Courts found my joke funny! Yay! I don’t care if I can’t do wheelies now. On a side note, wow Ari doesn’t look his age at all. I guess one ages slower when they spend most of their time on/with bikes.
Hi Zack. Nice to see you back again. Miss u and Ari. Can't wait to see Ari n u doing a joint vid again.... Hopefully soon. Lots of love from Malaysia. Ride safe.
Way back in June 1982, I found myself a freshly enlisted member of the U.S. Air Force. My first assignment was Dyess AFB, Texas. Shortly after arriving, I bought a used 1981 Kawasaki 454 LTD. This bike was very comfortable, and I owned it for over a year. Then, I sold it and bought a used 1981 Kawasaki 550 GPz. I really loved this bike and kept it about a year before I had to sell it because I received orders to Japan and could not take it with me. Bottom line, both of these bikes were primary transportation for me. So, between these two bikes, I would go with the 454 LTD due to comfort. Always go with comfort when dealing with long trips and hours in the saddle. Take care.
Zack I bought my Versys X-300 after watching your review. I wanted a fun around town bike and you were spot on in the review. I'm happy with my purchase.
Also got one, but I waited a bit and got a '17 with 13 miles and a few mods for 1500 under sticker this January, smoking deal in my opinion, I fell in love with it after seeing RyanF9 and Zachs review
Yes, many times, only way to break out of that is to close your 19 browser tabs and book some testrides, specs and features don't mean shit while your're riding it :D
I almost drove myself crazy then I just got practical and asked myself -"what exactly is the kind of riding you will be doing". Not the kind of riding you WANT to be doing, but actually doing. That cleared my head and helped a lot.
Hell yeah! Zack and Ari! Love these dudes! Also, I chose an '18 Versys 650LT for do almost everything bike, I have a dedicated trail bike. And I have to say that like a multiple choice test question... when there is more than one right answer, the Versys 650 is he best answer. What a sweetheart of a machine. A daily commute on mine and it really is a joy to ride.
Just right now... Z900rs or Xsr900 or Gsxs750 or Cb650r or Sv650 or Waiting if yamaha will bring the Tenere 700 to my country or Getting a street 650cc bike and a DR650 for the total price of the z900rs... Will i get a good deal after this zombie apocalipse mildly goes away and you can actually seat on them? Mind you this started in jan 2020...
You're review back in the day on the Versys 650 pretty much sealed the deal for me about 3 years ago and I haven't regretted it in the slightest. Thanks for that! Started to take it more off road lately and it does pretty dang well with the right tires, skid plate, and a couple other minor things. It truly is a versatile bike and at $8000 it can't be beat for my 80/20 highway offroad riding.
Welcome back Zack we missed you!!! I started with a wee-storm 650 best choice for my type of riding. I Grew up to a Triumph Trophy SE and it felt huge at first and god dam scary. Now it feels like a moped.
Yes RevZilla! Yes! Well done on getting Ari and Zack to join you! Subbed! Notifications On! Nice vid Zack - this is what we need! Can't wait to see more of your adventures with Ari :)
Love Zac and Ari, so happy to see them around the Revzilla family! I miss their first ride commentaries, it might be down to having seen them for so long doing those that I trust their opinion but I am looking forward to the future vids!
Here I am thinking.... Zack might have like half a dozen bikes in his garage....well what do I know. Really fun video you and Ari are going to bring so much new subscribers to this channel with those full of knowledge and great videos
I like to see that my initial research I put in back in late 2014 paid off. My white 2015 Versys 650LT has been great for me. I’ve put 58,000 miles on it in five years and it still runs and looks perfect. I do oil changes every 4000 miles , flush the radiator every year and do the valve checks every 25000 miles. This bike still looks new and I will keep it way past 100000 mile and it won’t be worth anything. I might buy other bikes but I’m never selling that Versys.
Good video. Excellent seeing these two guys again! Good move Revzilla. And, dare I say... much needed. Looking forward to seeing new content from Zach and Ari.
Nice to see you on the Revzilla Team. One item missing Zack: dealerships of Yamaha, Honda, Kawi, & Suzuki have a no test ride policy (at least in So. CA), and always point to liability -- strange since Ducati, BMW, and Triumph don't have that issue.
I remember my first ride on an R3 fresh from taking the MSF course where I rode a little Suzuki Intruder. I had no idea what the R3 would feel like and was literally shaking when I got on it. A few blocks later I was in love. Couple of years later bought an FZ-07 and lived that first ride. Sold that after a year and decided to try a cruiser so bought a 2006 Honda Shadow Sabre 1100. Was a bit puckered up about testing riding that but managed not to drop it. Still have that and the R3, which is great for the twisties. The Sabre is my lead sled for the highways. It’s good to see you back Dude!
This was a great video!!!! Zack you did a great job making it feel like you were talking to a person instead of a camera... and the best part it was fun!
Just to add, I was at my local bike dealer in yeovil Last year and I was looking around. A customers new bike had been prepped ready for him to take away, the service manager was showing him around the bike and he started the 2019 1000sx up,. The engine sound I was hooked. The bike was in silver and looked stunning by the way. So I'm getting mine as soon as covid 19 is under control from bransons motorcycles in Yeovil.
Why wait? I just bought a Bonnie via cell phone and take delivery Saturday. Nothing says we can't ride -you don't get much more "quarantined" than that! Well, it differs by location, but the cops are cool around here in gun-slingin' country. LOL
@@2Timone7 were in the UK were only allowed too ride if were getting shopping or prescriptions. I was in yeovil today. Live in bristol (work in Somerset) bought a new Honda from Branson's in the past. Great lot down there. I wouldn't use Fowler's in Bristol for anything other than looking. I bought a brand new bike from them once too. Not the best experience.
I am thankful for these videos from Zack, Ari, FortNine, Missenden Flyer, Chris Harris and all the others who give us so much information and entertainment.
Thank you Revzilla for your most excellent addition of Ari and Zack to your family. Imo they provide the Best motorcycle commentary available anywhere and are perfect for Revzilla and Us.
I did not realize how much the first ride thing is true! As soon as you said it I could feel, hear, and see the first ride on all of my bikes. Honestly, freaked me out a bit!
Great content! I saw the title and thought, “I know what to look for...”, but I found this very Insightful and thoughtful. Good perspective. Many of these things I think of, but I don’t know that I gave the “first ride” enough credit. Well done.
Great to see Zack and Ari back on UA-cam! They make the most entertaining videos out of everybody in UA-cam while making very useful reviews! Glad to see Ari having the bike that I'm looking to buy :D
Loved the vid. The first impression part was spot on. It’s crazy how I have never shaken off my first impressions. Several of the bikes I bought I tried to learn to love...doesn’t work that way, and there I am trying to sell another bike. Also, practicality (for those that ride every day) is so important.
Remember, folks, function starts with FUN!!! This is an awesome video and sound advice! My dream bike has always been the Goldwing and I finally got one last year. I never rode one until I bought it (also sound advice -do NOT ride a Goldwing unless you are prepared to buy it!) and it is everything I ever dreamed it would be (NOT the newest iteration crotch rocket, it's a 2015 beauty). I just bought a 2006 Bonneville for scootin' around down and country lanes on the weekends. Cheers and keep ridin'!
Good stuff. Glad to see content coming out during this madness. However, a humble critique... I thought it was just Lemmy's videos that were choppy and over-edited, but maybe that's a RevZilla thing.
I want a tenere 700 because I like to look of it, it's tall and has a large tank. It is capable of more than what I want it for. But I want it just for commuting.
I had not owned a Street bike for years.. always had dirt bikes .. Don't read the magazines didn't do much research .. Bought a Naked Sport Bike Yamaha FZ-07 not the right bike for Sports Touring. Had to buy lots of accessories from Revzilla to convert it .. Still far from Ideall The Yamaha MT-07 Tracer would have been the perfect bike for me but they only sell it in Europe .. Also owning several differnt types of motorcycles is a nice option too ..
you two always make a lot of sense. I go to the Long Beach Motorcycle Show every year to demo other bikes. I own a FZ 09. I chose it because the reviews were really good for it when it came out. After a while I thought that the reviewers were too harsh on it and thought the bike was magnificent. Then one day I test rode a BUNCH of other bikes and I thought that once I got on my FZ09, I would find it lacking.... To my surprise, I didn't! I still found my bike thrilling and fun and exciting! However riding other bikes DID open my eyes to the faults of the bike.... Which I'm now correcting. I also bought a Multistrada 1200S and compared it against the S1000XR and the R1200GS and found the multi more to my taste :)
Zach is so damn likeable. Its clear he's a such a good dude and been doing this for a loong time. Stoked they're doing more youtube too these days (still love their throttle out series ! not sure if its over now though)
Zack and Ari seem like a great pairing in their adventure vids. I'd love to see them drag Spurg and Lemmy on one of those ridiculous rides, like the baja/monkey trip...
Zaaaaaack! I saw Ari's piece yesterday and now I am greeting you back into the ranks as well! We missed you guys. This is an interesting piece because it speaks to all of us, no matter what we ride. I like that. I currently have 3 bikes - A Suzuki GSX1250 FA, a Victory Vision and a Triumph Trophy SE. I wish I had a track weapon in the stable, but oh well. Maybe someday. The important thing here is that what you said made so much sense. For me, the first impression was critical. And I mean literally when my ass hit the seat for the first time. When I bought the GSX, I was actually interested in a FJR but it just wasn't clicking for me. Then I saw the GSX. I asked the sales guy to bring that one out and when my ass hit the seat - that was it. I can't even explain it! The FJR was clearly the better bike but I rode outta there with the GSX. Same with the Vic. I went in there looking to buy an Indian Chieftain. then I sat on the Vision. And that was it. The test ride was merely a formality! And the Trophy I sat on at the IMS in 2014, and I said I would have one someday then! Took me three years, but I got one. These bikes are wonderful and between the three of them they satisfy every mission requirement I have that one bike alone could not fill. None of them are the best in class pe se - but I don't care. It is how these bikes speak to me. THIS is what makes a bike good! Thanks again for the piece. Welcome back, brother!
It's all relative to what you like.. The biggest thing I find is people buy a bike from a dealer and don't adjust it or modify it or even touch it to get the best out of it... Look at the R6 2019 The Oem brake pads are crap as are the levers. The Oem tires are bad and the fork springs are to stiff the down change is hard as the Yamalube synthetic oil is junk. There is always room for improvement when you buy a bike..
Saw the thumbnail. That looks like Zack. Saw RevZilla thought no way. Looked closer and clicked into happiness. Missed you Zack, welcome back into my life mate :)
Great Presentation! I've wanted a KTM 950 SMT ever since they came out...but I needed something practical---enter the Gen1-FZ1. That first time is critical if you gel with bikes. Tall 6'3" riders are supposed to like the 1200 BMW GS....I've tried multiple times and after 1 minute..not for me. Bought my Sprint 1050 without even a test ride...fell in love first minute out of the dealership. Husky501.....again no test ride from dealer...damn I love it. Hope I luck out on my next purchase. Cheers!
Good play on Revzilla for putting you guys on the payroll. Looking forward to seeing you guys on here.

Great first bike!
Ari and Zack coming to Revzilla made me turn my notifications back on :)
Good god, did we miss you, buddy!
Funny that Ari with the dreadlocks is the guy with the “practical” Versys whereas guy next door looking Zack is with the hooligan KTM.
Totally thought it was Zack's at first. I have the same bike so either way it makes me happy. :]
Guys with deadlocks are not hooligans. They are more chill
I think it probably has more to do with me buying my bike at age 25, and him at age 34 😄

I almost got one in 2014 . But ended up with a F800gs instead. Would love a Verseys bored out to 800cc.

Great to have you back in the open ! Made this miserable Corona day a lot more fun :D
I didn't imagine this guy was so awesome. Fun and centred view of the subject
If it's practical and fun you can't go wrong. Love my DRZ
Glad to see you guy's on UA-cam again!
Interesting that Zack has Ari's Versys in his garage and Ari just did a 30+ point inspection on Zack's KTM :)
Yeah. I told Ari 'his' KTM was a beast.
Awesome, always enjoy your videos Zack! Looking forward to seeing more from both you and Ari!
Nice to see you and Ari back. Have always enjoyed your videos.
It's all relative to what you like..
The biggest thing I find is people buy a bike from a dealer and don't adjust it or modify it or even touch it to get the best out of it...
Look at the R6 2019
The Oem brake pads are crap as are the levers.
Good to be back 👍
Great Presentation! Cheers!
Dual sport and naked/street all time fav ♥️
