I'll never forget my two attacks before my gallbladder was removed. They were like childbirth. Nothing at all like your description of the upper and back pain. It radiated everywhere. It was agony. The first time I was loaded up with morphine injections and sent home after a night. The second time I saw a doctor who sent me strait to surgery. Thank God.

Note: the video was talking about Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)... NOT the full "Gallbladder Attack". An inflamed pancreas is only PART of a full Gallbladder Attack.
Some GB attacks I've had are 12 hrs of horrible pain... and if I throw up at all it's in hour # 10.
The full attack can have many more symptoms (belly pain, straight up the center of chest, then spread across chest. Head sweat, body chills, forearms tingling, fatigue that comes out of nowhere, rapid breathing that gets more shallow- almost panting. What worked for me it to try to keep sitting upright, supported in back my lots of pillows. Lying down horizontal makes the attack worse!!! Lying still as I can, and trying to stabilize my breathing
Luckily by cutting out fats, I've stopped GB attacks for many years.

    • @seagreentangerine2065
      @seagreentangerine2065 17 днів тому

      Absolutely.
For me it started a year before I was admitted to A&E and I kept thinking it was just my period trying to start, I am perimemopause, and the pain was like that of poly-cyst bursting during the most prolonged, agonising period pain, radiating from my lower stomach, like a thousand children were beating my stomach.
Pain was in the ribs front and back, a single nasty pain between my breasts like someone was stabbing me repeatedly and a pain in my right kidney.
All of that pain was an acute attack on my Gallbladder. I was discharged after 2 days, with planned surgery to happen within 4 weeks... sent home with pain killers, antibiotics and ozemprazole.
I am waiting for my appointment in the UK and I think they like to wait until all of the inflammation has subsided before surgery.

Are there any ways to prevent surgery and dissolve the stones? Taking the gallbladder out can cause all kinds of digestive issues. I feel like Doctors are too quick to take it out.

4 TBS olive oil follollowed by 2 TBS lemon juice.
Repeat every 15 mins until you have consumed one pint of olive oil and half pint of lemon juice.
Then just wait for body to pass them.
It sounds horrible but if you're in pain you'll try anything. It worked for me. Gallstones will return because they will be made again BUT it works!!

Can you talk about the difference between physiological vs. functional gallbladder issues and what a patient can do.... (ie. Functionally they aren’t making enough bile). What if someone suddenly starts eating a ketogenic diet, will they have issues due to more bile production? What if a patient presents with all of the symptoms of a gallstone but on exam and ultrasound no stones are seen...

I have ceased alcohol all together not that I drank much but it isn’t good for pancreas. I also do stretches and stopped eating red meat as my pain was unbearable. I drink and stay hydrated and I drink a lot. The pain for me when it first started was on LEFT side which is why doctors just ignored. All my scans were normal

I wanted to give an update; I just had an ultrasound with reference to the several gallstones that I had initially, and they have been significantly reduced in size!! I was very pleased with the results, obviously.
I'm cautiously optimistic that the gallstones will completely dissolve, in the future. I have been on US for several months. I have also been very cautious with my diet, along with taking milk thistle, taking Tudca, increasing vitamin D3, along with other supplements.
I am very fortunate that I had gallstones that were asymptomatic. They were discovered by accident when an ultrasound was ordered for my stomach, at my request, because of mild, but ongoing stomach pain.
It was a very good wake up call for me, however, to really pay attention to what I was eating, and to the quality of food I was eating, and to really feed my body, foods that were truly healing, and giving me good bacteria. I've eaten many salads with multiple fresh veggies, including artichokes, dark green lettuce (arugula) along with fresh spinach, all which are great for the digestive tract, along with yogurt that is low in sugar content, but free of artificial ingredients.
I will state, however, that everyone is completely different with regards to the level of medical care that they need. What works for me, may or may not work for the next person.
I was very fortunate, as I wasn't in extreme pain, as anyone knows that has had a gallbladder attack, can attest to, just how painful these attacks are.
For many people, surgery is their only option, and it can truly, save their lives.

I'm so glad if seen this. I'm from the uk. Iv put up with this pain since I was pregnant. So for two years now. It's been awful. My midwife thought it was the muscle in the middle of upper abdomen taring😬. It was Like a burning sensation. Then suffer at least one a day since then. Its wasn't until I had an ultrasound that it showed gall stones about 11mm I think they said lots of them. Just waited for my referral to see consultant down. Fingers crossed I'll be pain free soon. Thank you so much for this video. You explained it in very simple term. X 😊

My ultra sound revealed no stones or sludge. Hida scan 92% ejection fraction rate (hyperkinetic gallbladder). Met with surgeon who is willing to remove my gallbladder due to my pain but I'm not sure what to do. I'm not overweight & do not have diabetes. There are very few studies pertaining to my condition which makes research extremely limited. Diet has always been healthy but now I've completely cut out all red meat & fatty foods. Hoping for the best, thanks!

Same issue which is causing more pain 4 months later. Gallbladder seems to be in almost constant activity. Has to wait due to same day surgery shut down. Pain intensified the last 2 weeks with diet. Will see surgeon in 2 days to schedule removal. All the common symptoms, but vomiting. Tired, lost weight, pain lasting for hours. On FMLA. Doctor says 2 week recovery. Hopeful for same day surgery.

My gallbladder is also hyper with an ejection fraction of 92%. The symptoms were horrible from chest pains, dull pain on the mid-left section of my abdomen, constant gas, and anxiety. After a year and several different tests I was sent for a Hida Scan where the dx was determined. Have surgery scheduled for next week to remove my gallbladder. Hopefully it’s a success. Just want to feel somewhat normal again. There is definitely not enough education regarding a hyperkinetic gallbladder. Thanks!

Over the last few weeks I have been getting sudden 'attacks' of pain which are right across my abdomen. It's an intense ache and hollow feeling, that makes me writhe in pain. It lasts quite a few hours. Yesterday I felt fine, had a light lunch with only 1 teaspoon of coconut oil. Unfortunately I ate bread, which I don't usually do. I would say that half an hour later i started getting pains in the middle of my upper abdomen, and really felt grim. Within another hour or so I could barely walk. I had chills and fever, nausea, vomiting, and all i wanted to do, and did do, was crawl into bed. The pain /discomfort hasn't abated. I have pain in my upper right quadrant, as well as pain in my mid back region, sort of where my kidneys are. I took painkillers last night which helped a bit, but still have fever and pain on my right and into my back, right - hand side. Also a headache. Does this sound like gallbladder?

I had simular symptoms 2 days ago, which worsen to intense unbearable pain. I experienced bone crushing contractions that only intensified the pain, even after 50mg of tramadol and smoking some pot the pain presisted, it did not subside. (Not that I condone, promote or recommend self medicating.) I was in a bad state of mind. The pain i felt was far greater than any of my 5 c-sections including labor pains and post surgery recovery. Also, I had no support. My husband down played my complaints and pass it off me being needy and seeking attention. He left me alone, which made me more proactive and I went to the hospital. That is when i learned I had gallstones and needed to remove my gallbladder.
This is new to me and i find comfort in learning about the gallbladder and hearing testimonies of other people with this issue. It can be terrifying as you feel like your inside are going to explode.
Its important to get medical care and know what your dealing with.
I wish you the best, and hope for a speedy recovery.

@@kimberlyrosssegovia203 I've been in the miserable tides of gallbladder pain for about a year. And I'm so sorry that you had a family member who dismissed the most unbearable pain imaginable as something you were making up. I've had to explain to my own family that it feels like someone is taking a lead pipe and is slowly sawing back & forth through my upper right rip cage to my back with relentless fury. And NOTHING, no position or massage will help alleviate these hours of antagonizing pain. I'm surprised you didn't straight up leave your husband, no offense. The fact that he saw you in agony and dismissed it so cavalierly must've made you feel so alone, and that breaks my heart for you truly. Gallbladder pain sends you into a helpless feeling of despair and depression, because it is persistent. It ruins our ability to simply eat anything without the intense fear that this horrifying pain will come back.

Buck Parker, I feel that it's important to provide people with good health and nutritional information. People after getting their gallbladder removed should change their diet and lifestyle as they actually caused the gallstones to form. If they don't change their diet, something else will break. You don't get gallstones because you have bad luck or a bad gene. Gallstones aren't formed because people eat too much cholesterol either. Bile is made out of cholesterol and gallstones are a consequence of not enough bile as it sits stagnated in the gallbladder and crystalizes into gallstones. The consumption of good fats triggers the gallbladder to squeeze bile into the small intestine, so a low fat diet works against a healthy gallbladder. Likewise, wheat has a lectin called Wheat Germ Agglutinin (WGA) that causes blood clotting or agglutination. This WGA has the undesired ability to block the production of a hormone called cholecystokinin (CCK), the hormone that causes your gallbladder to squeeze and release bile.

if u r suffering a lot with gallbladder stone attacks , it is recommended that u should get operated as soon as possible...Now with the help of laparoscopic surgery it has become very very less painful procedure with very less or negligible blood loss and being minimal invasive procedure it gives cosmetic result too..I.e negligible scar over the surgical site.☺️

On your drawing , you showed a stone entering a narrow duct, why remove the gallbladder when you can possibly remove the stone by making an incision and remove it. Also can put a stent in the duct to widen it so any or no stone gets stuck.
Another question, how large is the gallbladder ? Is it incision in small parts to be removed through the navel ? I’m hesitant to have the surgery even though I experienced pain a few times and put of surgery and wait it out.

Avoid , specially all Trans fats and Saturated Fats (this is the one causing all the gallbladder problems for the most part).
You could and should have GOOD FATS like Olive Oil,Avocados, Avocado Oil, nuts in your diet...
Do this for a year or two and it should clear your gallstones...
Eat Red Meat,Cheese and eggs sparingly. This aren't the worst offenders like Donuts,Pancakes,Pies,Cakes,Fried Foods, fast foods or super cheesy foods, etc (avoid for a few months).

Bullshit. Eat all the fats that are natural. You need them, we're made of them and the liver needs to do the work that makes bile. Cholesterol is what bile is made from and it doesn't come from olive oil. It comes from animal fats.
