Harry Houdini, has a video on the this and the philosophy of wabi sabi. Nothing is perfect, it is never finished and it will not last. Take a deep breath, exhale and repeat...it's just my hobby. Keep plugging along, you haven't taken up basket weaving yet. So that means you're still with us.
I mess up every time. I do recommend using tape on either side of any joint that you're trying to fill, and I use Mr Surfacer 500 for a lot of things. Much easier than putty.
very good :) i am now afhter 3 airplains 48 - 72 kits on the Heinkel 111-p2 . :D i lov tat plain ! my next will be the eduard b109 ! E-4 and mean the parts and details ar amazing.

Set it aside and build something simple OOB that you can knock out in a couple of sessions.
