- We got a hood that was the right colour originally BUT had been repainted, can we remove THAT paint and reclaim the original?
We can and we did, come along and I’ll show you what I did
You're nuts man, no gloves with oven cleaner..... its so caustic lol. It works like a hot damn, nice work man!
My whole life is caustic lol 😂
Just found you. I enjoyed this vid a lot!
Great to hear! I appreciate the support!!
#1.easy off #2.place 2 hours in the sun under polythene. #3.rub with scotchbrite .#4 don’t forget the gloves ..perfect job ;)
That looks great! I really appreciate that you set a timer to figure out a good soak time, I’ve got just the project in mind for this.

Anytime Darrell!!
Nice! I will try this on my 64 vw bug. It has primer paint on top of the original paint. Thanks for sharing!
Good luck. Let me know how it goes!
Thanks for the video. I’ll try it n mt Cj Jeep.
Best of luck to you!!
What spray do you use? Can remove putty to? Thanks. I need to find my original vespa paint. That have 3 layer repainted
Just cheap Oven cleaner. Definitely will soften the putty if left on too long
The oven can wait. I wanna try this
Look awesome. Does the oven cleaner not eat the paint down to the metal?
Sure didn’t. Didn’t hurt the factory paint
With a mustang 🤣love that hand
