Total beginners CAN improvise synth melodies

How to improvise on a synthesizer tutorial. Most good improvisers have a secret behind what they're playing. This beginner-friendly tutorial is how to get yours and go on for as long as you want! The keyboard as an interface lends itself to this style of playing readily, since it's all laid out in front of you. The chords you play are in the same place as the arpeggios, and this turns out to be key. Of course you'll need to practice, but not as much as you do for other styles of playing. This is also nice because it can help you improvise better on a mono synth, like what I'm using, the Moog Matriarch. And it doesn't require really any technical skill!

This is basically all I use synths for… I started off with a polyphonic one, the Minilogue, but I found it harsh abs the filter sounded like trash. Then I got a Minibrute and Grandmother… I do exactly this and I’m a guitarist by trade 😂 monophonic synths are just the best
