If you're good at the glider a couple of circles up and over the mountain will get you to the frozen lake, shack, tons of supplies and a frozen cave too.

Everytime my wife and I start another survival-craft game, we re-check your channel to see if you made any videos on it. We would constantly find ourselves saying we wished you liked [insert game here] as much as you loved the Forest so we could watch your vids. Keep up the good work.
There is more things down by the beach start, if you walk after the edge of the water on the beach crash area. there is duck tape and drinks and some food so don't forget to grab that also.
The starts to these have just been amazing.

yeah he's used the wheel zoom before, he's hoping for a button to "Inspect/look closer" kinda like you can when you collect a paper story item or email/book. it would be super useful, becuase often i want to see a large zoomed out map to decide where i'm going, but the icos are TINY...
if we could "inspect" the GPS map and make the device take up the height of our monitor that'd be ideal.
You may consider getting the pistol from raft as well. Also a good source of turtles and some loot ( mre, meds,and drink etc.)just on the shore line you'll hear the music. Much love Farket! I always enjoy your content.
4:30 there are other items at the beach start. Food, rope, and a can opener.

I love all of your Sons of the forest videos/The forest videos. They always help me when im playing (guide video or not)
The beach start has way more stuff than that. When you walk out to the two impaled guys out on the point where you picked up the MRE keep walking around the edge of the rocks and there is a crap load of stuff just before the next point.
You can climb the mountain but it only works on certain angles and paths and you have to constantly spam jump. I made a macro for space bar spamming but that was how I was able to put up a zipline highway, following pretty much the same path as your current zipline design. You can also use jumps to halt your slide before it becomes uncontrollable.
The singsongy way you did the intro was pretty funny. A new take on the classic haha.

@@p_clove the effect in the beginning. Could be intentional from him ... or just some mistake from editing. YT did target him in the past because of the audio when he is saying his channelname.
@@MichaelArlt ah, I see ty. I was talking about the 3 panel split view of the starting animation where you open the emergency pouch, which part do you mean?
@@p_clove i mean the first one or two seconds, were he introduces himself. Sounds as either he artificially stretched it somewhat into length or adobe premiere had a small hickup. I wouldnt be surprised if YT was complaining about that voice section again the last couple VOD's and he was just fed up so he stretched it a bit to confuse the algo ^^
I wish they would just leave him alone ...
But the three panel thingy is also nice ;)

There are more items to loot on the beach besides the MRE, walk the shore around the peninsula, you’ll find more items, including rope, can opener, vodka, energy drinks and oysters, cereal, etc.
I like this start alot its the start i used to speedrun great place to start!

I've Been avoiding this series (sons of the forest) videos to prevent spoilers as well as trying not to torture myself hoping this game would get ported to ps5 BUT now I've finally got a gaming pc and this was literally the first game i bought lol.
I know i can always count on you having up to date videos on anything Forest related. Probably the best video to start with too lol

Would love also to have best start when all sliders are at max difficulty (very hard/survival), and then option realistic time starting in winter .... :)

I keep getting the glider bug, where I jump and the glider unequips lol

I started a playthrough again after the game released and I have been headshot noscoping turtles every time
The flashing GPS icon is worthless, but the Flashlight is not. I usually crash my glider at the top of the hill, free my dead mate, grab the rope, GPS, and booze, and the all-important flashlight. From there, trek down a bit to get the modern axe.
I have problems seeing the time on the GPS, I've found you can make it a bit bigger on the screen by looking up
The “first” case still has a healing item. But obviously it needs to be a case with a possibility to spawn a healing item. So not a weapon or explosive case.
You should do a tier list for sons of the forest weapon it be nice
I always get the pistol first day, but always save it for Virginia whenever she decides to stop being antisocial.

Farket, next time you make a video on this game, please use the available resources.. So much is missing from this video.. Like the canopener that is close to every spawn location, you’re still not even aware of the beach one and all the other items there. The purple marker isn’t just a gps tag but the FLASHLIGHT, which is only essential if you want to go in a cave.. Also, going in a cave only to get a few items is a very bad idea for noobs & new players because you only have to break the wooden barrier at the cave entrance for mutants to start spawning topside in that area. Same with picking up the stun batton; you just destroyed the infinite effortless meat spawn:|

Not sure about that mountain comment. The first time I played this game (1 week ago) I just kept jumping up the mountain and made it to the top, you just have to be presistent.
I just go around to the other side, it's actually just a walk to the top. I make sure I bring up a few logs and zipline rope. Then I connect one part of the zipline to 2 logs I put down at the top of the mountain, and carefully slide down the other (first) side. Connect the zipline somewhere, and now I have my easy way up

I don't understand why you wouldn't get the flashlight really quick (near the modern axe) and also why not just run through the rebreather cave really quick just to snag that early on.
